I was referred to Dr. Opatowsky's office for cataract surgery to both eyes. All I can say is what an experience. The staff at AV Eye Care are wonderful. Appointments were on time and the care provided is exceptional. Once at the Envision Surgery Center I found the same caring environment shown by all the staff there. After my first cataract surgery I was excited to have the second eye done. Well, both eyes have had surgery now and the results are nothing short of fantastic. I absolutely love this place! I live in Indiana and see Dr Opanowsky when I come to town seeing my family. My commitment began when a doctor from Indiana told me I needed cataract surgery, I came to this office for a second opinion. Dr Opanowsky said absolutely not, I am not even close to needing surgery. I have been loyal to him ever since. I cannot say enough with how kind and professional the entire office is. I have not had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen, seamlessly checking in, taken back, routine scans performed by their amazing staff within just a few minutes. Dr. Opatowski and all of his office staff are wonderful in their service to myself, my son, and my husband. Despite their booking way in advance for routine appointments, they are really accomodating for acute problems. Additionally, he takes the time to explain the problem, the plan and any follow up that is needed. His office staff was above and beyond helpful in order to get my son seen at a su specialist. Very quick to get in. I wasn't even able to get the intake form finished until I was almost done with the exam. I was there for a cataract surgery consult but left with a prescription for glasses. I always like when the severity if my problem us found to be less than thought before. I feel good knowing the doctor could make thousands of dollars more, but would rather help me without causing undue suffering. I would recommend anyone to Dr Opatowsky. read more

The doctor was very kind, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly. However, the front office staff seemed disengaged and not very welcoming. It felt like they weren't happy to be there, which affects the overall experience. Improving the customer service and energy at the front desk would make a big difference, especially since the medical care itself was excellent. read more
