I rarely write reviews, but at this point I feel compelled to share my experience. I've been a patient here for years, but the level of customer service has seriously declined. I ordered a pair of glasses over a month ago and have been trying to get an update. The problem is that no one ever answers the phone. I've called at different times throughout the day--9 AM, noon, 3 PM--and every single call goes straight to voicemail. I've followed the instructions, left voicemails, and have never received a callback. It's incredibly frustrating when a business is impossible to reach, especially when customers are simply trying to get information about a prescription order they've already paid for. I understand offices get busy, but consistently sending callers to voicemail and never responding is unacceptable when this is happening on a daily basis. I hope management addresses these communication issues because the experience is nowhere near what it used to be. I Would not recommend this optometrist office. read more

this office runs on time very professional has incredible frames but do not show up late or you'll be rescheduled super professionals. I'm new to Palmdale so I decided to come to this place but I swear it's the worst place I really made a bad choice. We order my husband's pair of glasses since December 2024 and as of now March 2025 still waiting on my order. They keep on giving me the runaround never have I ever experienced something like this nowhere . To be honest, if I can give them zero stars I would I've ordered my glasses and I've waited over nine months to get my Ray-Ban's. They keep telling me they're at the lab order on backorder even though Ray-Ban's website says you can order them. I do not understand how they could just not give me my glasses at this point. I've already paid for them and still have not yet received them. It's incredibly crazy cause I cannot get hold of the manager at all. She's always disappeared and always not there it is freaking ridiculous. The doctors also not even there in the front girls in the front are not even helpful. It is constantly annoying to be told that oh we have your glasses and yet you still haven't gotten them. I have file a complaint against the city and to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I have been going here for 15 years. Dr. Lin is great! Last year it took 4 months to get my glasses. This year, I am still waiting since December 2024. I have called several times. Receptionist told me to come in to see the office manager: he/she didn't show up. I stopped by 2 weeks ago to ask for a refund...nothing yet. They will not answer phone calls or return any messages. Don't waste your time in coming here. They never answer the phone . Automated phone system requires for you to leave a voicemail but no one ever calls you back. Terrible customer service . Dr Lin should not be working in this profession with his sarcastic attitude. During the eye exam and evaluation I would ask question about my sons eye contact as he need specific ones for his eye condition and he would respond sarcastically. He would mumbles his sarcastic responses to the nurse helping during the evaluation. I paid $448 for my son contacts the day of the visit , payment was taken by the Dr himself as we were the last one in the clinic and his staff had left for the day. When I pick up the contacts his office and Dr Lin insisted they did not have proof that I paid for the contacts in full. Even after I showed them my bank statement with the $448 charge to the AV optometrist office . They said it was an error and wanted to charge me again all because they could not find the receipt print out of the credit card reader. When I asked the Dr what's going to happens if you don't find the receipt? He responded with I can't give you something you didn't pay for . I said but I did I paid in full my proof is here then I showed him again my bank statement. They do more searching to find the receipt of my payment in my son's chart instead of their payment log . Receptionist exact words were " whoever took your payment didn't put the receipt where it belongs " Dr then said it was me you can blame me . Terrible service ! Never again coming here ! read more

Dr. Lin did not seem to have the patience or meticulous practice to ensure the glasses had the appropriate fitting lens, or have the decency to apologize for his mistake. The continuous appointments and follow-ups take the time I do not have out of my work schedule to ensure I'm getting the appropriate lens after the second mistake of getting another wrong pair of glasses! Even more infuriating, having to pay for them Throughout this burdensome process, I had to deal with a dismissive optician who was no help in answering any of the reassuring questions I had trying to get my appropriate fitting lens. For years I use this optometrist, on the last three years the quality of the visits was decreasing, last year was time to stop using their services, this is the reason, I made a normal visit like every other year the people at the reception where not friendly at all. After I finish my visit on that they don't change my prescription, the lady on the front desk told my copayment was $ 185.00, and the total bill was over $ 450.00 for an eye exam, after I pay the amount they refuse to give me a copy of the bill, they said the person who make the paperwork was not working that day. So I have to come back next day for my bill. After the facts, they just add treatment not provided to justify the charges to my insurance. read more

We had been coming to AV Family for quite some time. Last time we came in, we got an older dr that didn't seem too interested in helping us out during our exams. Turns out I needed glasses. Not surprised. I needed a new prescription. We got my glasses, and my vision with them was even more blurry with them in than off. When I brought it up to the staff they affirmed they were correct. I suggest for you making an appointment with Dr. Lin not Dr. Kleinman. I tried making an appointment with Dr. Lin (I have seen before) but Dr. Kleinman was the only one available on my work day off that time. Dr. Lin is fully booked for that month and a half. Now, I know why... Dr. Kleinman was impatient. I am only reading two letters out of six on the eye chart and he is already stopping me and said good. Then, did the next procedure. I have a bifocal lens and he did not do the reading test and just based the reading prescription from last year's prescription. He did not do dilation test. I know I missed a few on perimetry test on my left eye but did not get any explanation on what is for or is it important. The staff were great. read more

Dr. Lin is a dishonest pushy optometrist. Disappointed that this business lacks integrity and honesty. Dr. Lin prescribed me my very first pair of glasses convincing me I really needed them. So I bought them. I came back a year later for my new annual pair and I saw Dr. Kleinman, who told me my glasses didn't have the prescription Dr. Lin said they had. So I essentially spent $120 on a pair of basic reading glasses. Dr. Kleinman isn't a thorough optometrist (as stated by the receptionist) and said I didn't need glasses. I came back to this place for the 3rd time to clear up my confusion with Dr.Lin. He gaslighted me saying that he never said he would put the prescription in the first place. He is very triggering for survivors. I would still be their customer if Dr. Lin had apologized and owned up to his mistake. Instead, they kept calling me and kept pushing me to buy the glasses. It is very difficult to find an optometrist that cares and also takes his time to make sure you are getting the best quality eye care. I highly recommend him for your eye needs. The staff was super helpful, quickly scheduled me in the NEXT DAY, they let me wander around looking at their frames without bothering me. When the appointment day came, I met Dr. Lin! He's awesome! In the past I had a good experience with the doctors however when it comes to the front office staff I will have to say I always receive bad customer service. And, Last week 04/7/22, was the last straw for me. I arrived at 12:50 just before their "1pm" lunch hour to try and get my glasses tighten. But, as I walk to the door the receptionist rushed to put the closed sign on the door. Therefore, I called the office to ask why they were closing when there hours indicated a different time but of course no one answered. Therefore, I waited for someone to arrived but it just so happen that someone was exiting the building so I asked them am I able to get my glasses tighten real quick the same receptionist told me no and to come back tomorrow! Not even to come back later but to come back tomorrow. Therefore, they lost my service I gave the front office staff many chance because I like the doctor but it comes to a point where a front office staff rudeness makes you not want to go there anymore. I also wrote a review on Google where the owner replied he indicated they closed later that day at 1:15. So my question is...if you closed later that day why did your receptionist deny me service? Also, I believe the optometrist are obligated to give you your prescription whether you want it or not because if gives people the opportunity to shop around for the cheapest price. I found this office through my insurance but the front office staff told me my four year old wasn't on my insurance? I just went to pick up my glasses, I used my old frames, so, they just needed to put the new glasses to my old frames... first, the office was closed, they opened the door for me, I went in and it looked very dark, so I asked if they were open, she said yes, I said, hmm..it doesn't look very welcoming, no response from her. Only the light right on the reception area was lit, the seating area and on the back office was dark, (lights were off). I said that the office did not look welcoming, her response was that because they did not have any patients they did not have those lights on. (bad impression). She brought my glasses, did not ask me if I wanted to try them out to make sure everything is all right (not a good service), when I tried them on, I asked if she can adjust the frames because they were kind of loose, she did that, then I asked for a new case, she told me that because I did not buy a new frame, usually, I am not supposed to get a new case, but she was going to check to see if I can get one; I told her that before I just ask for a new case because they did not close right and with no question ask I would get a new one (better service). I told her that she needs to be more friendly to customers and I would suggest that she needs training on social skills, she was very cold, serious, and did not project any willingness to help. This is what you offer "We take pride in providing friendly eye care services for the entire family", (you are falling short on that). I am sorry for Dr. Lyn, he is wonderful but that type of service is not helping his business. read more

Staff members are sweethearts, they will take there time to make sure you're happy and comfortable. Great prices as well. I love the doctor, as far the best doctor that has ever checked my ayes. Doctors usually take about 25-20 mins while checking you. The doctor at this location didn't care about the time he was there explaining me everything.
