So obvious AV US goal is to increase your profit margin against your travelers' comfort and expectations. We paid AV US for this service not AV VN. - Horrible tour guide in Phu Quoc because he is only hired help. Not AV US duty to vet your vendors? Really? We paid AV US for this service. - Mistakes on airline tickets are passed to travelers. Really? Are you not a travel agency with the utmost responsibility to issue our tickets in accordance with passport information, a service that again we paid to AV US. - The tour leader is responsible for all communications and misinformation. Really? Was she also an agent or remunerated for leading the tour with granted AV authority? Again we paid AV US for this service. I recently used them for my Vietnam trip this New Year. To be honest I had my doubts. I didn't not look forward to use AV TRAVEL since I had a horrible experience with them before. I tried to include it in this review but it was way to long so I had to cut it out. But my boyfriend told me that his friends and him have used them for their Vietnam trips and it wasn't bad. Our itinerary was Hanoi, Phu Quoc, Saigon, Can Tho (which my boyfriend and I opted out on), back to Saigon. We started in Hanoi. Our tour guide was a local tour guide named Hung (who AV hired). He was amazing. I can't express how knowledgeable and great he was. Our second stop was Phu Quoc. This is when everything started to crumble. As we were checking in at the airport we were told that my boyfriend middle name didn't match his passport. We couldn't understand how they got that middle name when clearly we sent our passports to them multiple times. Also as I mentioned my boyfriend was a repeated client. Our guide went to talk to the airline for us and was able to change his ticket. The tour guide who picked us named Thanh. He made very vulgar jokes on the the bus which made me feel very uncomfortable, especially being a female. We specifically asked not to go to the Pearl factory since we already been there the last time we went to Phuc Quoc and it wasn't on the itinerary as the list of things to do in PQ. But he kept pushing. We ended up all sitting there till he realized we were all just sitting there waiting to move to the next tour. By the time it was done it was getting late so we had missed out on the city tour. When we filed complaint with AV TRAVEL, they brushed it off saying that he was a freelance guy. We chose Vinpearl resort since we had such a great experience there on our last trip. Once we got there we noticed it didn't look anything like the hotel we stayed at before. But it was Vinpearl so we just thought it was remodeled. Later on we found out that vinpearl is separated into two wings. Instead of booking us the wing that we stayed at last time (only reason why we decided to go back to vinpearl) they put us in the cheaper wing. The day before we head to Saigon I was told by a third party that my bf had to pay $64 for the name error or else he would not be able to check in to go to Saigon. How unprofessional is it that you couldn't tell me personally but to have a third part told me. Not only that but also to threaten me that I wouldn't be able to check in. I told the 3rd party I will deal with them when I get back to the states. To think they would leave a repeat client stranded for $64. Luckily for us we had already dealt with the airline directly to correct all his flights. The night before we were heading back to the states we were notified again by a third party since we didn't go to Can Tho we would have to find our own ride to the airport. IF THAT WAS THE CASE WHY DIDN'T IT STATE THAT IN OUR ITINERARY? Why did our itinerary show a pick up time with a confirmation voucher. That was never mentioned when we were asked about joining the Can Tho trip. When we called the driver he said he was supposed to take only 14 people to the airport. We told him that we were the original 14 people in the group so why aren't our name on that list. He called Us back saying he was told we weren't on that list. After complaining that a few of our friends already took earlier flights home and a few is staying later, so there would be less then 10 people why can't they take us on the 29 seater bus. They told us they can squeeze us in for $50USD. That was outrageous. The hotel told us that they can have a 7 seater car come take us for less than $10. The day before we hired driver to pick us up from Saigon and take us to several different orphanages in Bien Hoa and back to Saigon ( we hired him for 10 hours) and it only cost us less than $25 USD. With this price gouging can you imagine what else and how much they are up charging? Stay clear from this company!!!! read more

I've heart many good things about AV travel from friends and family members. This is the first time my family took a tour with them for the 2021 summer Hawaii trip. First of all, the package price was reasonable. They booked a nice hotel by the beach (Sheraton Waikiki Princess) accessible to shopping centers and restaurants. Secondly, the trip was joyful and relaxable. My family (married with 2 kids) was very happy with the trip after almost 2 years stay put due to pandemic spread out. We went to discover many nice places in Oahu island everyday with the tour and had good dinners with a lot of good food. The kids were very exited to go to the beach and hotel's pool. And lastly, thanks to Mr. Hung and Mrs. Nga, they treated us very well and accommodated everything we needed. Mrs. Simone Nga even volunteered to babysit my little kids for us to have time to go around freely. Please stay away from this tour agency. I have travelled many places includes land tours as well as cruising. I have never dealt with any tour agencies as worse as this one. The tour agent (also the owner) was unprofessional, rude and deceptive. She overcharged whenever she could from tours to air tickets. I found out the same tour I took with this agency was $1,500 more compared to another local Vietnamese tour agency and double compared to an American tour. This is my first time with them and is certainly my last. The tour guy was was rude, unprofessional and useless but he wanted customers to pay him good tips and he made sure you paid while doing nothing to deserve it. He couldn't even speak English especially when he was my tour guide in foreign countries. Regarding fellow travellers, majority of them were Vietnamese. Few of them were decent and educated. Many were rude, uneducated and barbaric. The worse among them were the younger couple who were always in the back of the bus. They fought with others over seats including the lady with medical issue who needed an extra seat while there were many empty seats available. These two idiots claimed all vacant seats for themselves and fought with everyone. What disgraceful, uneducated and barbaric morons! And the tour guides did nothing to intervene! AV Travel & Tours organized our first and most of memorable tour value we had. It began on a boring Monday afternoon. We were cruising around town when we decided to stop by AV Travel office looking for some tour flyers. Miss Nga referred us to a tour that fit well with our schedule. AV Travel treated us with all business fairness and make us feel like home. She introduced a tour guide whose name was Quang. He worked hard and was extremely friendly. He was not only very professional, he was also acknowledgeable, passionate, caring, had great character and a great sense of humor. He spoke fluent English and of course, Vietnamese, with a friendly southern accent. He made the tour interesting and feel like we couldn't get enough of him. Surprisingly, Quang orchestrated romantic dim lights, roses, a congratulations banner, and red wine dinner to celebrate the anniversary of four couples on the tour on the first night at Sapa Mountain Resort. We toasted, we cheered, and enjoyed a three course delicious meal. What an amazing night! We left the Sapa resort with all the good tastes and memories to the Cao Bang Province. We had a one night layover at the Ho Nui Coc. Something happened in next morning on our way to Ba Be Lake, but our tour guide handled it in professional manner and stayed in continuous contact with us to update us with the progress. He even tried to accommodate lodging, give a partial refund to an elderly lady who got sick on her way to return to Hanoi. AV Travel provided us with all the high-end hotels during almost 2 weeks on the road, along with all the delicious food menu that you couldn't find if you travel by yourself and comfortable transportation in the air and by land, The tour lasted only 13 days long, but it covered everything in our checklist. The eight - day trip to the Northern Viet Nam was essentially effortless. We got to see and reach all the hightgest destinations in the region, did a lot of walking and climbing that was never too tedious or difficult. After all the exercise, we flew to the Phu Quoc Island in the far Southern VN for two nights of rest in a top notch resort in Vietnam before we continued the last three days of the trip to the Can Tho city, a capital of the South. The length of the trip exactly met our expectations. We covered all the interesting points, entertainment, and resting. We learned most of the history and enjoyed all the delicious dishes all over the cities that we stop by. Even the cost was reasonable! When it was time to say farewell to our tour group, it left a bittersweet taste in our hearts. We spent 13 days together and got along with everyone we were on the tour with! We have no hesitation to advertise and recommend AV Travel to people who are looking for any tour to anywhere. read more

I just came back home from a 10-day tour to East Coast and Canada with A.V. Travel agency. The tour was well organized and very fun and interesting. Especially, the tour guide, Mr. Nguyen Luong Co is very knowledgeable about American and Canada histories. At each site, he gave us detailled presentation about the formation of the United States as well as credits of American heroes and presidents. Mr. Nguyen is also an excellent entertainer. He encouraged everybody in the tour to voluntarily participate in the singing and telling funny stories that made the long-driving tour less boring and exhausted. The hotels, breakfasts, and dinners were good. The tour driver, Mr. Vincent, is very nice and professional. I strongly recommend this tour to everybody, especially to retired Vietnameses because you will have the chance to see and enjoy beautiful sites in the US and Canada during the autumn and at the same time to remember and recall your young age in Vietnam with your first love and romantic emotions through beautiful Vietnamese songs that Mr. Nguyen will sing during the tour. read more
