At True 'Brew dining room tables were spread out but that was it for virus precautions. No plexiglass shields at the register. No employee masks or gloves except for the sandwich maker. No soap out. No social distancing signs. My turkey club sandwich was built on wonderful tasting flatbread. It would have been an exceptional sandwich if not for the excessive mayonnaise. Mayo dominated the sandwich. The one napkin I received was insufficient to contain mayo squirting off every edge of the flatbread. Salad, chips, and pickle came with, making the $6.50 price a real value. True 'Brew has plenty of coffee, tea, smoothie, and milkshake options but no colas or bottled water. (Insert sad face here.)

Dress code was standard wedding attire or Renfaire attire (it's a castle so come on). Not only was it very fitting for the couple that it was held at a fantasy castle, but that couple also does full armored medieval combat (Buhurt is the name of the sport) and had invited members of the St. Louis team (Legion of Honor) and their Springfield home team (The Iron Alliance). I run support for Legion of Honor and my wife flights for them so we got to be guests and participants. The whole event was excellent and there were no issues from what I could see (even with us throwing people around their lawn).

They have everything you'd expect a drug store to have, plus extra things like food, community sweatshirts, and toys. They rock during holiday times! More snacks will appear than you could want to eat. If you buy vitamins or supplements YOU MUST COME HERE. There's always some sale: buy-one get one free or 50% off of different vitamins and supplements.  I've saved a ton of money over that store down the road. They also have a good, free rewards program that is even tied to the pharmacy. What you spend adds up to credit you can take off future purchases.

I had a sandwich, chips, iced tea and an ice cream cone for about $3.50. The ice cream itself was only a nickel! Soda is also priced at five or ten cents. The servers and bartenders were wonderful and the set - up take down was seamless. Everyone raved about how good the food was - it was practically all gone! We loved the full bar services offered. Our guests were shocked with all of the choices! They kept asking me " So we can have anything we want?" Lol...I saw blue drinks, pink drinks, lemon shots ...it was great to provide the full-on bar service. And the Champagne toast was absolutely wonderful - my favorite of course. So we opened up Google, and found the Hub Package Store, on one of the backstreets of Mountain Grove. I wouldn't say that it was in the seedy part of town, if there is such a place in this hamlet of the Ozarks. It's actually located down the road from The Richard Brothers Supermarket (see related review on their Biggerns). As we approached the doors of the Hub, we found that they were locked. There was a sign stating that in-store purchases will resume on the 28th of May, just in time for the huge Memorial day weekend! How convenient. But not for us. We were directed to pull up to the take out window. Hmmm, a take out window, at a liquor store, and we in a car. Something doesn't sound right about that. Now here's the problem with that set up. Have you ever gone to McDonald's and ordered fries with your burger? You order 2 bags of fries, cause you know that the minute they hand those things through the window, you're into them, and before you can make it a mile down the road, one of those orders of fries is gone. So you can see our dilemma. Anyway, we cruise around back and come to this smallish barred window. A nice lady slides the window open and we exchange pleasantries. I explain that I'm from California, and I've never heard of a package store, let alone a liquor store drive up window. Back where I come from I tell her, you can buy booze at the local middle school! Of course I'm being facetious, you have to get it at a high school, but you can see that I am out of my element in this part of the country. I told the nice lady that we'd like a pint of whiskey for Phil, an a 6 pak of Miller (no chance in hell that they'd have Genuine Draft, my daughter has to special order it in Franklin TN, so it would be highly unlikely that a small town in Missouri would carry it.) I told her no need to bag it, we'll drink it here. After I apologized for that old joke, the Hub lady filled our order. As we were about to leave, I thanked her, but mentioned, I do have a serious question for you. She said "of course Honey" so I asked, since you have to pass all the liquor through this window, how do you shove the kegs through? At that point she was done with this Californian. Quick Tip: Beers aren't fries, so save the fries till you get home. Did I mention that the Police station is just up the street?

Hanging out for a quick meal, filling up the ATV with gas, coffee while running to the post office next door, or even buying a part for your chain saw and a bucket of nails! All part of the charm. Did I mention the food? Nice! Love the pizza, wings, etc. I have not had the breakfast yet. But I heard the biscuits and sausage gravy are worth the drive. When in town to visit, we will stop by again.
