This credit union has really messed me up had drop my previous insurance last August they put a Cpi on me I been paying my carnote on every month now they saying I gotta pay on the delinquency of loan for not having insurance they lock my account on Christmas eve an now they asking close to $1,000 a month an im on a fixed income. I have an ato loan with them. Today I called member services to inquire about my 10 day payoff balance. I gave the girl on the phone all of the information she asked, "for security purposes ". Then she said that she would not give me the 10 day payoff quote over the phone. She said that I would have to physically go to a branch location, "for security reasons ", in order to receive the payoff quote. I informed her that I just had surgery yesterday and I am not able to go into the branch. I asked her what are the "security reasons " for not giving me the payoff quote over the phone. She said that she would not get into that unless I physically came into a branch. How stupid and unhelpful can a credit union be? I am only trying to see if I have enough money to pay off the auto loan a few months early. How is that a security risk? read more

loyal member for 50 + years. I had a small credit line opened about 6 weeks ago. For the last 10-15 years, this credit line has had the payments automatically taken from my account every month coinciding with pay check deposits. got a surprise call from 'collections' today saying I had missed two payments. I asked what happened to the automated payments and was told that since I retired recently and don't have payroll deposits anymore, I must either re-instate the automated payment transfers or do it manually each month. (who knew?) So now I am being charged late fees of $10.00 which they refused to waive. I guess the 50 years means nothing. Avadian just makes you feel special! read more

I have been a member of Avadian Credit Union for a long time. Recently I had a very bad experience that I hope never happens to anyone anywhere. I was yelled at and publicly humiliated by a customer service rep/teller named Amanda who refused to assist me while I waited but instead directed me to go stand in another line while she continued to engage in a long conversation about her personal business with another member. As I was leaving, I mentioned to her that I did not feel it was right for her to put off helping customers while she discussed personal matters and instead of appologizing for her total lack of customer care, Amanda became irate and yelled at me to leave the credit union in front of all the other customers. I was shocked, humiliated, and ashamed to say the least for being treated so rudely and unprofessionally. There has not been a manager at the Colonnade branch where this ocurred for over a year so I notified the corporate office and they simply moved her down the road to the Greystone Branch. Don't believe Avadian's TV commercials about going the extra mile for customers as clearly that is not true. Most importantly, beware of Amanda when visiting the Greystone or any other branch where they may send her because instead of assisting you, she may just yell and throw you out of a business she does not own as well!! Save yourself the humiliation and lack of concern and just like me, take you business elsewhere where you are treated with respect. read more

I read a negative review and felt a huge need to give my review. Avadian Bends over backwards for their customers. I am just one of many stories of how they help their customers. No I do not work there but I feel a part of the Avadian Family. They go above and beyond the call of duty for me. After my divorce they gave me a chance when no one else would to buy a much needed car. After 3 years of doing business they have helped me not only buy a car but they now are giving me advice on getting a mortgage. My loyalty to them is forever. Here is the cherry on top of the sundae . They helped me consolidate a bunch of bills to get my debt to income ratio in line to help me qualify. So I have a home equity loan with them. They merge with another bank and decide to change the due date on my loan. Supposedly, they sent me one notice that it was changing. However, I never got a vote and they moved up the due date almost half a month. Also, during the merger I received erroneous statements, because of some of their glitches. It will probably cost me some money, but I am looking to refinance this loan with someone else. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Please put your money someplace else. I have had an account here for a decade at least, and after almost closing it because of some dicey fine print, and a disagreement over when charges went through and when deposits went in, I only kept it open after a manager called to "work things out with me." Which ONLY happened after I left a negative Yelp review. They removed the fees, I took down the post, and the account was left open. I live in different state now and have a Regions account which I have never had trouble with, and despite being a "big bank" the people there have always been incredibly friendly and helpful and bent over backwards to make me happy. Not so with Avadian. After leaving the account open, an old online account ran charges that should have been attached to a different account. When I called to explain, I was basically scolded by the bank employee, and now they want over a hundred dollars in fees, or they will report negatively on my credit. All this after assuring me that overdraft charges would never be applied to my account again. I understand a bank is a business, and I understand that user error exist, but these people aren't who they claim to be. This is not some small town "we are here" for our customers type of place. They would rather make a couple bucks in fees, and be duplicitous about the fine print, than serve you. Again, I have had a couple accounts here for more than a decade, and even got a car loan through them. They are only interested in making money off you. Run fast. Run far. read more

They aren't very helpful, I love how their commercial makes you think they are all that caring but not when you have excellent credit and try to refinance a car loan they have already. I also recently noticed that my other credit union that I have a very small amount of savings has been paying me three times the interest that Avadian is paying. They only reason I started an account with them is the branch is close to my work. read more
