Initially we felt good about this company, as they were able to come out quickly when we realized our dishwasher wasn't working properly. Nathan showed up on time, diagnosed the issue quickly, and then charged us $180 for the service call. Which felt like a lot, given the amount of time he was there, but oh well, everything's more expensive in Summit County. Said he would order the parts and probably have them ready to install in about a week. It's now 2 1/2 months later, and most of our calls have gone unanswered and unreturned. If they do answer, they will say they're "checking on the parts", and "I'll call you right back", and then nothing. ZERO call back. Don't use them - that $180 they will charge you is not worth your time and aggravation trying to back in touch with them. read more

Avalanche Appliance is the designated service representative for DACOR appliance warranty repairs in Summit County. However, if you own high-end DACOR appliances and you are about 12 miles north of Silverthorne, yet well within Summit County, Avalanche will not make a service call. They say "we don't go out that far". Samsung/DACOR needs to either find a new service firm, or pay the provider a rate that will incentivize them to spend the time and effort to attend to customers who have paid tens of thousands to install DACOR appliances. Maybe not their fault, but if you advertise that you service Summit County, you should service ALL of Summit County. read more

After the motherboard on our Bosch went out three months after we purchased it, we spent almost seven weeks working with bosch to get it repaired, they gave us a guarantee that they had found a service company to repair it. That company was AVALANCE APPLIANCE in Breckenridge. When we contacted Steve at Avalanche, he agreed to order and install the motherboard in a week. When we contacted Steve the day before, he was to to do the installation, he informed us that he was not going to fix our fridge. He did not contact us to let us know and said he no longer was going to work with Bosch; I guess it slipped Steve's mind to let us know this and one more week was wasted trying to get the fridge fixed. Look elsewhere, you can do better than Avalanche. read more

Originally, after having Nathan of Avalanche Appliance service our new LG washer and dryer by leveling them correctly and inspecting the hose hookups on 11/23/21, I was very pleased! Then 2 days after his initial service on Thanksgiving, I experienced intense "jackHammering" vibration of the wash machine and our laundry room floor during the spin cycle while washing my sheets then the vibration has since continued during every spin cycle thereafter, varying in degrees of intensity! On 11/28/21 while washing my PJs, the washer stopped running during the wash cycle without any error code, leaving standing water in the drum. This issue during the wash cycle persisted for 3 consecutive loads. On 12/3/21 Nathan returned to address the most current issues that started occurring on Thanksgiving 2021. After a thorough examination of the wash machine, he discovered an apparent dent inside/outside on the lower back left corner caused by the excessive tub movement that wasn't there originally during the cosmetic inspection upon delivery, broken shocks/springs causing additional vibration and further damage, loose internal electrical circuit plug on the top right middle wall of the machine, and indicated there could be additional damage to the machine as a result of the broken shocks vibrating the drum/tub excessively. So we discussed the best resolution considering the machine was delivered/installed 10/30/21 and the fact it was a matter of time for issues to present themselves since the shocks were broken as a direct effect to the washer being installed improperly by the delivery/installers from Home Depot. He recommended I call the LG Warranty Department, reporting our dissatisfaction to obtain an immediate remedy of a replacement washer that it appears to have multiple issues with it such we are putting band aides on and it will be an ongoing situation fixing/repairing it. Thus, we need a reasonable resolution for our investment being only a month old like a washer replacement. On 12/8/21 I called LG Warranty Service Department to report the issues/findings above. To my utmost shock and unpleasant surprise, I found out from the customer service representative that the report was contrary to what was discussed during my service appointment with Nathan. The report stated that the machine was working well and I had medical issues which not only was falsified facts, but also defamation of my credible character! The report even had an incorrect date and wrong product serial number. I felt so discredited, betrayed, deceived, astonished, and utterly let down by Avalanche Appliance because the LG service representative said she has to go off the repairman's report and not even my videos with evidence of the machine issues. So basically, Avalanche Appliance has put me at a real disadvantage/disposition/disservice in replacing my brand new defective LG wash machine!!! So this poor review will remain until they change/correct their service report with LG. I am also considering legal action against them for defamation of character and false reporting of a warranty claim. read more

Avoid at all costs. Steven was the repair man. He was supposed to fix our washer. Before showing up he required that we unstack and unhook the washer and dryer. No repair person in the past has ever made us do this. Once he arrived to complete the repair, Steven ended up breaking another part while trying to replace the initial part. After screaming a slew of curse words, he left flustered. When he came back to fix both parts, apparently they were installed incorrectly. He also would not hook the units back up or help move anything. We had to do all the lifting. We now have considerable water damage to the basement because the parts were installed incorrectly. Hundreds of dollars later, we're finally working with a much better repair company. Rude, unprofessional, and doesn't actually know how to install parts correctly apparently. read more
