We had a horrible bed bug experience due to the lack of care by the property owners. We know for a fact it is the building that is riddled with pests and it was not a case of us bringing it home or catching it from someone else. We lost a couch, a recliner, our bed, lots of clothing items, my tv, and our complete sanity over this situation. We also had scorpions. Our cats found a baby on the kitchen floor and there was a dead one in our bed. As well as a live one in our bathroom light. Then our AC started to tremendously leak through the rough to the extent that we thought our upstairs neighbor drown. They refused to come help us. Our kitchen sink garbage disposal broke and we were without a kitchen sink for almost a month. This was all within three to four months of being there. I promise you it is NOT worth your time or money. Contact with the office is nearly impossible between ownership and employee/management changes, and an utter lack of respect for tenants. They rarely answer like calls and numerous messages went unanswered. So just don't do it and keep looking. Also I see your comment Latitude and you can blow off with your fake customer service. TRUST ME YOU DO NOT WANT TO MOVE HERE. My boyfriend lives here and before he moved in he saw a few posts about scorpions and when he asked management about it, they laughed at him because they "get that a lot." Turns out the posts were right and I'm sharing my boyfriend's experience to help anyone trying to move here! Since move in, he's had at least fifteen in his apartment. After about five months of this, we were laying in bed watching a movie and I got stung by one! I went to the office to talk to them about it. We asked for some sort of accommodation other than what they were already doing. Pest control is included in rent and so you're supposed to request them to come spray once a month in your apartment and to have the air filter changed. After doing research, I found out that spraying doesn't help because scorpions are nocturnal and nobody comes out to spray at night. All spraying does is kill their food source but they can live 9 months-2 years without food. So pretty much their only method of handling it doesn't work. We asked if it was possible to move because I got stung and my boyfriend doesn't feel safe. We don't know if he's allergic and the type of scorpions that the apartments are infested with are bark scorpions, the most poisonous in the United States. They won't even move him to an upstairs apartment to lessen the risk. The only thing they said he can do is give them a thirty day notice and pay twice the amount of rent to "buyout the contract." Their reasoning for their lack of handling the situation is "This is the desert and scorpions live in the desert." We even explained the pest control thing and they don't really care. I understand management can't control the scorpions. However, how they are handling this is ridiculous! They played dumb about the scorpions in the beginning and all they can say about the false information is "sorry." At this point my boyfriend goes hunting for scorpions every night outside (which he shouldn't have to do). Some people think they are harmless because they are outside but they can climb and because they can flatten out to fit into a credit card sized crack, they can easily get inside. If you walk around with a blacklight at night, you will see them glowing everywhere on people's balconies and even on the sidewalk. And not to mention the babies are tiny and are the most dangerous. The picture you see of the jar of scorpions has about 30 scorpions in it. He found all those in one night in about 30 minutes and this is just from one building, out of the many in the complex. It's scary to know how many are outside that can get in. So please save yourself from the trouble of scorpions and management's lack of handling it. You deserve a home where you don't have to worry about being stung in your sleep or where you can walk around barefoot without fear. And you definitely shouldn't be paying that much for rent if you're living with scorpions. We do live in Arizona and scorpions live here, that is a fact. There is a mountain and golf course near by, but to be honest, people who live closer to the mountain don't see that many scorpions. I think these apartments were built on a nest and this will always be an issue, so go elsewhere! read more

I have been living here since December 2018. From the moment I walked and met Stephine ( who never forgets a name )and showed me the one bedroom . Marisa who kept her eyes open for a Casita . Ebony who made my transfer into the casita an easy transition . Denise the property manger , Diane , April, and Bridget have all been wonderful . The office staff is great and they truly care .If I have had issues with things in my unit ,the maintenance team has been great . I love living here . I have read the negative reviews here and I personally can only say positive . I have only 1 issue it is with the residents who own dogs and don't feel they need to pick up after their dogs . Whomever is writing these positive reviews must be getting paid a lot of money!!  This is by far the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in....where to start: 1. Upon move in I noted and told the manager directly that the carpet was unacceptable and was promised it would be replaced asap. I have lived here almost 2 years and have not had the carpet replaced or even cleaned as promised. I am sure the increase in illness in myself and my 2 year old son is a direct effect of managements inability to maintain a healthy environment for their tenants. 2. They will not tell you about Cockroaches and dangerous Bark Scorpions that infest EVERY apartment. 3. The overall cleanliness of this complex is absolutely horrible! It takes weeks to get blown debris picked up and hazardous tree fallings are a normal event. The soccer park is a mud pit. The Jungle gym is filled with safety hazards and rusty metal. You can truly tell they don't care about anything here.  4. Maintenance are worthless here. Messages go unanswered and phones are ignored. If they do not have permission to enter, they will enter anyway. Do not trust these people in your apartment when you are away!!  5. Feral Cats EVERYWHERE!! When asked what could be done I was told "nothing". One attacked my dog and had to be taken to the vet for rabies shots. 6. Your mail is not safe in the mailboxes they provide!! My mail was stolen on multiple occasions from the mail room here. You are better of with a PO box.  7. The management and front office clerks will tell you pretty much anything you want to hear to get you to go away. All the above mentioned issues were reported and only minimal, if any, effort was given to correct said issues.  8. Myth Busters proved to us that you can IN FACT polish a TURD!!! So what did Autum Ridge decide to spend resources and funds on??? Making the outside of the complex look nice... Toured the property and decided to put in an application. After applying, I did some research and found so many negative reviews and even a news article about the scorpion issue I decided to back out. The guy who helped us out told us multiple times when we were touring we could get the admin fee refund within 14 days of applying. We even called to confirm this. A week goes by, we decided we want the refund and the manager said it has to be within 48 hours. Since we have no "proof" of this they will not refund us anything. Awful place to live. It only gets worse each day. I advise you do not sign the lease to this apartment complex. They were not honest about the roach/scorpion infestation. The poor reviews are true. If you want to feel safe in your home, this is NOT the place for you. We have had so many roaches, and scorpions and had to stop inviting over young ones because we feared they would be stung. We are not able to relax in our home. We cannot walk around with our shoes off and have to be extremely careful we're not about to sit or lay with a scorpion. Our apartment is kept extremely clean, that is not the issue. I do not understand how the staff members sat there (while we signed our lease) ensuring us that this was a great place to live. That is just cruel to allow a family to not be warned about the infestations and poor management on their end. This is my second zero star review and I only have more complaints. We should not even have to pay $4 a month for pest control. This complex does not take care of their residents whatsoever. I've only lived here since April and stress about this awful place everyday. My complaints will keep coming, and my experience is only getting worse. I've had pest control come a number of times & what they're spraying does not seem to help. As we have only received more critters. If you are looking to rent from here, please take the time to read the reviews. Let me start by saying that not all the office staff is terrible. They are simply uneducated in the ways of property management. But this doesn't excuse the Management Company who runs the complex. As I have read in other reviews, we too have experienced entry with no permission as well as mix up's with the East and West sides. Packages have been "misplaced". We pay for pest control yet, not only was our dog stung by a scorpion, but we purchased a UV flashlight and guess what we found...6 scorpions on the side of our building nestled in the river rocks. My car has been stepped on...let me explain...stepped on by kids who decided to walk across the hood of my very nice and hard earned car...it's also been keyed, slammed into by doors and scratched. This happened to my car and my boyfriends. We keep to ourselves...we never cause issues but yet there are people in this neighborhood who damage other's property for what...the fun of it? We had an illegal entry into our home and their response was "There must have been a mix up between East and West, we see here that we did try to contact both numbers on file for entry." So when no one answered your supposed "calls" that was an green light to go inside? Our "updated" apartment is far from updated. Our toilet doesn't flush correctly, our kitchen sink faucet has almost but fallen off. Our front door dead bolt HAS fallen off a few times. Our backdoor screen has ALSO fallen off. And all these work orders has gone unnoticed. Let's discuss rent...I wouldn't mind paying $900 for a 900sqft apartment...if it were safe and well put together. But the fact that our paper bill does not match our online bill...that is highly infuriating. Not to mention they charge you $25 for Valet Trash and more than half the time...I find myself needing to take my own trash out...and I would be super fine with that and would prefer to not pay the $25. My overall opinion is this...If you are in a pinch for a place...there are better places to be then here. If you like quiet and safe...this is not the place for you. Literally the only reason we still live here is because we're paying roughly $500 less than we would anywhere else. It is less than pleasant, however. Recently they have chosen to get rid of EVERY SINGLE DUMPSTER in the complex and have replaced it with a SINGLE trash compactor. They claimed the dumpsters were 'ugly' but I'd rather look at dumpsters than what you see attached. Trash piles up for days and the maintenance crew just drives right on by without a care in the world. Valet trash services come and pick up trash at your door Sunday-Thursday... but don't pick up trash on the weekends while everyone is home producing EVEN MORE trash. Then they just pile it up in the back of the complex for up to a week at a time. This has been relayed to the front office staff MANY times but they claim it's not that bad, it's not a health hazard, it's better than the dumpsters, it takes getting used to, or some other excuse that is not justifiable. They have complete disregard for how completely disgusting it is. Birds flock the trash and it feels like it's only a matter of time before rats infest the area, seeing as cockroaches and scorpions already have. It doesn't just pile up in the back, however. It also piles up throughout the complex because not everyone is willing to walk their trash 1/4 mile in the scorching heat when they should be able to walk 100 yards to a dumpster. Worst apartments I've ever encountered so far. My apartment has been without air conditioning for over 9 days.. 9 days !! In this Arizona heat, I've been forced to find my own temporary home due to health and safety concerns for me and my unborn child. You think they'd place a pregnant lady in a hotel for the inconvenience. Maybe take rent off for not being able to go home for over a week. Nope. Not Latitude Apartments. Customer service is a joke, and the maintenance is even worse. Just a bunch of workers that are quick to clock out then finish their jobs. I've sent in over 15 requests and messages to get it fixed, and I've spoken face to face with the manager to address the issue, and still not a thing but a lousy ac unit that blows no farther than 3 feet of air for my 95 degree "home." At this point, it's become a legal issue and I'm leaving asap. read more

If I could give this place a "no star" rating, I would. They are nice to you and "woo" you to get you into the place but once the ink is dried on the lease, you are totally forgotten. The phone in the office is rarely answered so you have to leave a message and phone calls are never returned; the fitness center was supposed to open in March, then in July ... it's now October and it's still not open; parking rules are not enforced so if someone is parked in your space ... too bad, you are SOL (because they have to give "24 hours notice"); maintenance requests take 3+ days unless it's an emergency; unruly children run around screaming, there is a bug problem; I have complained about the "tag football game" that occurs nightly from my upstairs neighbor but nothing is ever done about it; there is one dim light bulb in the "breezeway" and you can hardly see when putting the key in your lock after dark (it's so dark it's dangerous); a shooting occurred right outside my spare bedroom window; take this seriously, do NOT move to this apartment complex! Worst apartments I have ever lived in. The "remodel" job is a joke. Paint is peeling off everywhere. My apartment is infested with roaches and bed bugs. The leasing office says it's my responsibility to get rid of the bed bugs. I've never had an issue with bugs before. I have thrown out so much of my newer furniture because the bugs are everywhere. We still see them climbing up the walls despite not having anything left in our apartment and spraying like crazy. I had a leak coming from upstairs and it soaked down to the base boards but they replace them because they say they don't have that same design anymore despite them being water damaged and probably mold. My husband and I have been renting from Latitude for almost two years. Upon initially being shown around, I thought this place was a perfect fit. Little did I know, their "show" apartment is nothing like the one you will actually be living in. We put in an order for things that needed to be fixed around the apartment and it never happened. We had a scorpion issue for a short time which was scary due to having a young child. The cockroaches were by far the WORST issue we had here. They sprayed and sprayed but they kept coming back. We also had an issue with our neighbors who were drug dealing out of their apartment, which was never addressed until I threatened to get law enforcement involved. The area where the complex is located is not the best nor safest, very loud with all the traffic (steer racers) and the i17 being a mile down the road. Motorcycle drivers will rev their engines late at night around the complex as well. My car has been broken into once and I've had to call the police due to suspicious activity. Parking can also be a huge issue. The office isn't open passed 5pm so if someone is in your designated spot and you don't have a tow card, you're SOL. Loud domestic issues is a constant occurrence and there are always people yelling/cussing outside of their apartments. On the surface things look nice, however when you get a deeper look everything seems to be falling apart. Paint is peeling off the walls, in the kitchen half the drawers are not in any type out mounting bracket and fall out when you pull on them, and under the sink you can see there is so much water damage that the wood has absorb it and has expanded 3x it's size to only be painted over. The faces of the cabinets are either falling off are barely attached; my one year old son nearly ripped off the front of our bathroom cabinet by opening the door. Half the outlets don't work in our apartment and the outlets that do work are stretched so wide, your adapters will fall out. If you are on the west side of the complex, expect your water to be turned off at least once a week due to "water main damage". The gym is 24/7 which is nice, however you will have people waiting outside for someone to open it for them because they don't have a card. There have been homeless people in the back bathrooms and kids playing around in the workout activity room. Community events are canceled last minute on the day of the event as well. Staff is friendly and helpful when you can get ahold of them! All in all, not the best experience but it's better than being homeless with nothing! read more

Well since Yelp thought my last review was too awful for anyone and removed it...I will try to be nice...Worst and most unsafe apartments I have lived in, in all my 58 years. Remodeled apartments are shoddy at best. They have RUBS (Ratio Utility Billing System) where they divide up the water among the tenants....I am paying $75 a month for about $35 worth of water I am using. They also do not provide any bill with proof of beginning and ending meter readings and why I owe that much. Which they are according to the Statutes. Only 1 scorpion...but tons of roaches in my newly remodeled apartment...Obviously from other apartments...we spray for them every 2 weeks....been ok so far. NO parking available for a 2nd car or guests on the West side...Back in the East side there's like 50 open spots!!!..unfortunately I couldn't park all the way over there as it is too far. Enter at your own risk. FYI that picture is of a wall in my newly renovated apartment...Obviously a huge water leak at one time....never replaced drywall, still wouldn't after I moved in...probably ton of mold. read more

Just moved in and I'm loving it. My part of the apartments are very quiet and the grounds are well kept. The gym is awesome with plenty to do just wish there was water and maybe have sanitizer or at least wipes for the equipment. Good staff though just wish there were more of them. read more

We love living at Latitude Apartments. The staff works hard to accommodate any request you might have even though they are busy and things are sometimes completely out of their hands. We love the layout of our apartment and that there is so much green space to walk our dog. It's close to so much but you don't feel like you're "in the city." read more

Wow I can't believe the comments and reviews thus far. We just moved in 4 weeks ago from a terrible and expensive situation in Mesa. We have lived all over the valley and never found anywhere that we consider as comfortable safe and inviting as Latitude. It's equidistant from our jobs and we love the lush greeness and kind staff. The one scorpion was in the first couple of days and the tend to move into the vacant units. We live in the mountainous section of the Sonoran desert and they were here first. The staff is engaging but seemingly not enough to cover the enormity of the 555 unit property. Latitude is the first place we've been happy to go home to in years. I sure wonder what situation lead to the earlier complaints. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would be delighted. Let me start by saying the new management is horrible and should put people out of their misery and shut this place down. They will only assist you when it's convenient and...SURPRISE... that is never. They won't respond to any questions or concerns so save yourself some time and don't have any. My sister and I live together and are VERY clean people. We still, however have a TERRIBLE roach problem. One the size of my fist was on our patio, there are several in our kitchen drawers, and now we have baby roaches under our sink! I seriously don't know why we didn't exercise the option to terminate our lease when our AC WENT OUT FOUR TIMES IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER. Yup. You read that right. We had to have multiple people come "fix" our AC unit until they finally sent someone from the actual company to get it working. On top of that, it took them WEEKS to get their asses here. So we sat in a 95° apartment, in a city that's temperature reaches 120°, during a global pandemic, over the course of two months, because our AC went out every other week. Please please PLEASE read this and do not rent here. I thought we would be fine even though it had shitty reviews, and I am SO upset for ever coming here against my better judgement. I feel unsafe, unclean, and all around uncomfortable being here. I will never, ever, EVER recommend this disgusting shit hole to anyone unless I am in the Better Business Bureau office recommending they close this place down. I do not recommend these apartments to single women or single women with children. My home Was recent attempted breakin by a male. He tried to come in thru my kitchen window and balcony window. He hop my four and a half feet privacy wall, to get on to my balcony. I was also staying on the first floor and was home sleeping when it occurred, I woke up to him masturbating at my sliding glass door. He was tapping on the window to wake me up. My blinds were also more than half way closed. I've never been so scared for my safety or to sleep. I thought out of all places, your home should be the safest. read more

I have been living here for more than four years and have been through multiple owners. I have not been impressed with any of the various owners as that doesn't seem to really make a difference. However, the manager makes life here so much easier and comfortable. Ebony takes on any problem and usually has a solution immediately. Her attitude, however, is what makes the difference. I have come to her extremely frustrated and she treats me with the same grace and dignity as she does when I approach her in a pleasant manner. This apartment complex doesn't even deserve one star. I'm absolutely disgusted, discouraged & infuriated at this point. I'm not even sure where to start. The complex itself is way over priced for the cheap & crappy way it's updated (which you can't tell when you walk through the staged model that they show you). But I was able to live with that & just bide my time there until my lease was finally up. What I can't seem to wrap my head around is how horrible the management at this place is. I simply cannot understand how they haven't been sued or how they are even still in business. Our APS bill the first two months totaled out to $700 for a 900 sq ft apartment due to the unit being so old & the construction being so poor. They entered my apartment 4 times without permission. The first time, we were unaware they were even going in until we got home right as they were leaving. The second time, my boyfriend received a call asking if they could go in to which he responded, "not at this time, but I will be home at 3pm and you can enter once I get there." Once again, he got home & found a completed work order (which had been outstanding for 60 days) sitting on the counter of our apartment. The third time they called & asked if they could enter & he specifically told them that we have been having issues with them entering without permission & that they CANNOT enter without us present. They acknowledged him & said they would wait till he got home. Again, there was another outstanding completed work order on our kitchen counter. The final time was just a few weeks before we moved out where there was a note saying that a work order could not be completed because they could not find where our fridge was leaking. Our fridge was never leaking in the first place, we never made that call. When we called down to the office, their response was, "oops, it must've been the unit on the east side, not west! Sorry about that!" Everything in the apartment would break. The toilets, washer machine, the fridge, the towel rack, the front door lock (real safe). You name it, it probably broke at some point within the 9 months we were there. I was so excited to move out of there & never have to look back again. Much to my dismay, that's not what happened. I was sent my move out statement totaling up the damages I had to pay for. The overcharges within this letter were outrageous totaling to a shocking $1,000 but I sucked it up & decided to just pay so that I would never have to deal with those horrible people again. I called the number they provided to set up a payment plan. To my surprise, a COLLECTION agency answered the phone. I moved out of my apartment on May 31st, the letter was sent on June 9th & I called the number that the letter provided me on the 15th. How could they send me to collections without giving me the chance to pay the balance due & only 2 weeks after the end of my lease? When I contacted the office (after calling & getting the voicemail a total of 8 times & leaving 3 messages), the assistant manager responded with, "well that's just our policy so..." The management there are some of the worst people I've had to deal with, which says a lot considering how level headed I am. They don't care about what's going on in the place that you live. They shrug everything off. To them, you're just a hassle. Please, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME & ENERGY ON THIS PLACE. They are scammers. Update since I posted my review it has been tagged as not helpful don't let them pull the wool over your eyes this place is not safe for you or your children I literally Sat in my living room from midnight till about 2:30 and listen to the police helicopters circle continuously looking for someone again this is absolutely ridiculous I cannot wait to be out of this place I've already started packing my stuff because I can't take this anymore I shot a video of the activity tonight but its too long to post please do not move in here about 3 months also into moving in one of my drawers in the kitchen collapsed on itself I called maintenance it's never been fixed that was about 6 months ago this place is so bad I basically gave up calling them about any issue that I have as I've heard from other residents our safety is none of their concern and it's completely up to us to remain safe if your rent here I wish you good luck and most likely positive reviews for this place we're written by people in the office probably Heather she's an asshole read more

I love living here! No problems so far. I love the gym. It's great that we have four pools too. Also a couple does really nice events.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would consider it. I have only been a resident for 2 months and cannot believe this is how BH conducts business. Let me start off by saying I have been a real estate agent and property manager for over 13 years, and this is by far the most unprofessional bunch I have ever worked with. The only reason I am here is to adjust from my divorce and get back on my feet. I hate to complain but I have had nothing but a terrible experience living here at Latitude. And since management obviously doesn't care, they get this review. To start, someone from the management calls on the Friday before the Sunday I am scheduled to move in, and lets me know that my lease is ready to sign (even though they said they were having an issue with the carpets being cleaned). I foolishly packed up a load to move thinking they would give the keys on the lease signing. Not the case. When I arrive, not only is my unit not ready, it hasn't even been cleaned and they tell me it will not be available until the day after I was scheduled to move in. I now I have to take a day off work and move all by myself as the only help I had was for Sunday, whatever, I do it and move on. I get the keys 5 hours after they tell me to come get them, now I a moving in the heat of the day by myself, whatever I keep going. I walk inside my utterly disgusting unit; no one has even bothered to sweep from the previous tenant (let alone mop) and this person obviously had no regard for her own cleanliness; the kitchen and bathroom floors were covered with cat hair, the bathtub had not even been cleaned! The washer and dryer were covered in hair and spilled detergent; I pull the fridge and stove out and find a dead rodent and enough hair to choke a lion. To top it off, I am extremely allergic to animals. The best part, no one vacuumed before they shampooed the carpets, my unit has smelled like wet cats for 2 months. I vacuum twice a week just because of the foul odor! I am disgusted to live in this unit. I have gone to the doctor to get a paper trail of my allergies. I have gone into and requested from management that something be done, and my requests go 100% unanswered. Good luck getting someone on the phone here. I am charged $25 a month for a trash removal service that I have yet to receive a trash can for. The pools are chained and locked throughout the day, it was 102degrees the day before yesterday. I would not send my worst enemy to this place. As soon as I can afford a different home, I am out of here with extreme prejudice. I've 5 scorpions In the last year & have been stung in my sleep once. The office never answers their phones& I'm still waiting for a response from my maintenance request online 3 days ago. Even just an acknowledgement of receiving it would be great. Neighbors are always fighting. At the time I viewed the apartments I was told all cabinets and appliances would be black and upgraded, the week before I moved in they called and switched my unit because they had someone else moving in to my original unit. The apartment I'm in now, not upgraded at all. Air conditioning Not working. read more
