Southwest Airlines usually has Lower rates than it's competitors, but you sacrifice a couple of things for those lower airfares: There is no assigned seating. They do assign you a boarding group letter and number, and once you are on the Plane you can sit anywhere. There is no 1st class or business class.

I kept thinking- what would happen if there was a problem on tbe flight and I had to rely on a complete stranger to put the oxygen mask on my child!!?? How is this legal? My daughter was in tears- traumatized and scared about being on an airplane and separated from her mom. To top it off the stewardess was more concerned about getting the three men in the seat in front of me drunk than any anxieties caused by separating mother and child. Southwest could have at least made their policy clear before I bought the tickets. I hope this review will reach other parents to keep them informed so they don't make the same mistake I did. The giant flamingo sculpture in the middle of the airport was impossible to miss and quickly became a favorite landmark for the kids. It's one of those unexpected touches that gives an airport a little personality. We also flew out of Tampa at the end of our trip, and the departure experience was smooth and stress-free. That's about the highest compliment I can give an airport when traveling with children. One minor downside: the Starbucks in our terminal was already sold out of quite a few food items and it wasn't even midday yet. Fortunately, we were able to grab sandwiches from Potbelly, which worked out just fine. Our driver was absolutely wonderful--he not only got us to the cruise port safely but also took the time to explain exactly where to go and what to expect for pickup after our cruise. When our flight was delayed after disembarking and we unexpectedly needed to stay at a hotel, he went above and beyond. He offered to pick us up and take us to the airport free of charge just to make sure the kids got there safely. That kind of kindness and care is so rare these days. You can expect to spend around 2 hours here. Some suggestions that could have made the excursion more enjoyable and efficient would be: -Have everyone sign and fill out forms beforehand -If a car hasn't paid to feed the animals, allow a lane for them to leave so they're not just sitting and waiting on the other cars who did pay to feed the animals -Have more than one exit and entrance (this may not be feasible, but it might help with suggestion 1 Overall we had a great time and I would recommend it. Called and spoke to a representative who scheduled my pick up at the plant city enterprise. However when I showed up. They had no vehicles in inventory. I was then directed to call customer service to find a location where I could get a vehicle. I was then directed to the one here in Lakeland to pickup a half ton pickup. Whilst on the phone. When I was asked how I would be paying. I said " debit ". When I arrived at the location. I was told to I would need a credit card to reserve a pickup truck. I did not have a credit card so the manager then referred me to another option that would work with a debit card. HOWEVER, I now needed to show 2 proofs of residency. As if my license and my insurance are wasn't good enough. Now I needed to come up with 2 more ?? Anyways. I went outside to get said proofs of residency. I then walk back in. And wouldn't you know it. They said " we will not be able to help you or anyone else making a new reservation ".. we already started the process to get me into a Nissan and all he needed was those 2 forms of residency. So after wasting an hour of my time. I had to now get an uber for a third time to get me back to my semi truck back in plant city. By far the absolute worse experience I've had. Some criticism. You should have your customer support reps make sure to tell your customers they need credit cards for your more " luxury " vehicles.
