The new person never told the other lady why I was there. So I left, I will never go back there again. I was looking so forward to going here. Because when I called the person I spoke to was so nice so reassuring, and then when I get there, the 2 older women up front drop the ball, big time. Dr. Smith is a pain management doctor. From the minute I scooter-ed into the office I felt welcomed. The office is in the converted house right off Orange Ave. The office was easy to find. Hours are great. I got an appointment within two days of calling the office. Dr. Smith is a very personal doctor who listened to all on my concerns and took great care in handling them. The staff is extremely polite and caring. I have been here 3 times now and have had excellent service each of the times. My last occasion was to have shots in my spine for the pain syndrome I have. I was taken in at my scheduled appointment time and everything was explained to me step by step. I liked that. I was in and out with 35 minutes. I of course have a long way to go with my problem but feel well taken care of by Dr. Smith and his wonderful caring staff.

An inflamed muscle. I pulled something or pushed something wrong during a training run. And now after seeing Rena Bissessar and the people at Vissers Physical Therapy, I feel much better. Expertise, efficiency, humanity -- Vissers is the dream package for PT. Currently, I'm progressing through the care plan, doing the stretches at home, and having a few followups ... but then only for what is necessary. And that's incredible -- past experiences with PT have always been a bit more hit-or-miss and my own comprehension of what needed to be done to get better. And a lot of PT places felt like they weren't really looking to help, they were looking to bill my insurance. Not so with Vissers! I feel like they get the science of PT as well as the art of being able to explain to each individual how to do the work/exercises to feel better faster. No gimmicks. No upsells. This could have been a real challenge, but the folks at Vissers have been invariably kind and caring. It's been a journey, to say the least -- and having good people beside you at every step is essential. This is what we got at Vissers. Everyone we've interacted with at Vissers has been lovely, but particular praise is due to my mom's individual therapist Rena Bissessar, who has pushed her when she needed pushing, been understanding with her when she needed understanding, and gotten her a long way in an astonishingly short time toward being back on her feet again. I have been feeling pretty bad lately. Exhausted. Dr. Bolick listened when my regular doctor didn't and ordered an extensive round of blood tests. 2 weeks later, we discovered that I have an Chronic condition. He sent me to a specialist and I am on my way to recovery. This would NEVER have been discovered if it had not been for Dr. Bolick. I told my regular Doctor everything that I told Dr. Bolick. The difference is care. Dr. Bolick cares about his patients and wants them to feel and get better. The many many MANY other doctors that I went to with this same problem only cared about money. The staff is, as always the best. Too many times you go see a health care professional and the staff, is awful. Not at Bolick. The staff is caring and... well they are just awesome. I am soon moving to the other side of town, but will continue to see Dr. Bolick. I don't care that it will take 30 to 40 minutes to get there. He is the BEST in my opinion and I will do what I need to do to continue seeing him.
