This is by far the most horrible experience I've had in a Dr's office, I totally agree with the other reviewers, do not go there! 1. The front desk never answers my calls, and finally she did answer she put me on 43 minutes hold and ended the call. 2. I sit in the room in the paper gown waiting for the Dr for 40 minutes, the Dr didn't come until I called the front desk to complain. 3. The test results take forever. It's been nearly a month I still didn't get my pap smear result. 4. I asked the front desk to transfer my ultrasound order to a different imaging center, it never happened. read more

I had a great experience with Dr. Waite. It has been a struggle finding a good gynecologist in Orlando, and if I'd gone based on the reviews, I would have avoided her. I'm glad I didn't! The office is located in a gorgeous building near Universal studios, with a nice lobby, and ample parking. The examination rooms are a little small, and the wait time can be more than an hour for a scheduled appt, and her use of disposable coverings are the only things that make me give this place 3 stars instead of 5. Dr. Waite is a great doctor, however my appt was at 10:30 and it's currently 11:30 and I have not been called back. Her staff is young and could use a course on customer service and professionalism. The office could also benefit from some new furniture, paint, new pillows in the exam rooms, full size disposable sheets for patients, and a licensed BS-RN, not a medical assistant. I'm not sure if I will return. This is only my second visit. Called back at 11:36: The BP monitor was Publix Brand. Wow. 11:50- Waiting on Dr in exam room. This is definitely my last visit. Im super disappointed. 11:53- Assistant came in to tell me that I needed to reschedule because the Dr. had to leave for emergency surgery. This place is like a restaurant with the best chef/ food ever, but horrible service and decor. She needs an office manager to whip this place into shape. I just moved to FL. - Norma never asked what type of mammogram I had previously received. + I was referred to Rayus for what I thought was a routine Mammo Screening. Rayus was fine. - Weeks later I received an $850 from Rayus the Imaging Center because N. Waites ordered a Medical Mammo. - Norma never communicated that she was prescribing a Medical Mammo. --My insurance did not cover Medical Mammos. --Now I am stuck with a $850 bill from Rayus... - I called Norma Waites Office several times, no reply. I stopped in so the front desk person could make copies. I sent emails with supporting documents. NEVER HEARD BACK from this office. Thanks Norma for not communicating. 8 phone calls and texts to TRY to get an appointment even during office hours. Voice mailbox is full!!!! The staff leaves a LOT to be desired. The only time I got through the girl said she would call me back once she received my insurance info. Numerous calls later to find out why I can't talk to anyone - left messages and no call back! Had swabs taken on 10/20 and called back on 10/28 for results. After being left on hold for 44 minutes the receptionist read my results and said they were negative. I expressed that I was still having issues and she scheduled me for a teleconference with the doctor on 11/3. Well I was just able to view my lab results on the Quest Labs app and they results show that they were unable to run the tests due to insufficient sample...why would they tell me they were negative and not inconclusive. Total incompetence. I liked Dr Waite but the office staff disarray and lack of professionalism will keep me from going back. read more

Terrible Doctor's office, medical results get mixed up easy, they manage the appointments terrible why make an appointment if they make you wait for 2 hours (im not exaggerating ) after you show up on time. The staff.....let me you.. you get better service going to a Walmart than talking to them, staff is rude and unprofessional you can easily find them eating at the reception while talking to a patient not to mention how abrupt they answer the phones that in case they feel like picking it up. Don't waste your time going here they have no respect for your schedule or your time. They're very long waits and no one has any regard for the fact that you might have work or other appointments. Trying to make an appointment is nearly impossible their advertised hours times of operation online are all completely incorrect. Hello Everyone! I've been seeing Dr. Waite since 1991 and she has actually become just like a family member to me. When you have a long term relationship with your Doctor like I have with Dr. Waite, you don't experience any of the apprehensions that most people usually do when preparing to go to a checkup with the usual sense of dread. Not with Dr. Waite! When it is time for me to check in with her for a scheduled appointment, I almost forget that she is there as a Doctor because the feeling of seeing an friend is so overwhelming that I often forget what I actually arrive to her office for. The truth must be told about this very professional yet extremely caring Lady of high standards, she is MORE than just a Doctor that you simply found out of an endless sea of advertisements in a directory or internet search. They do not make them anymore like Dr. Waite and I can't see myself going anywhere else for the maintenance of my health as I feel that she is a Godsend. Oftentimes in this day and age the relationships that most have with their physician might be cordial at best but never really genuine, but Dr. Waite goes the extra mile each and every time to make sure that you are comfortable with all procedures as well as making sure you understand everything that is transpiring with your care along the way leaving NO STONE UNTURNED! There is absolutely NO PRICE that one can pay for such a long term bond and I highly recommend to everyone that if they are truly looking for the professional care with a loving human touch then there is no doubt in my mind that to make Dr. Waite your personal doctor is the ONLY option that one could really ever have! I have lived in The Dr. Phillips area for 20 years, and this is honestly the worst doctor's experience I've ever had. I am not able to reach the office for a follow up. I have called the office up to ten times a day, and an automation tells me all lines are busy, and the inbox is full. When I call after hours, I leave a voicemail and no one calls back. Actually impossible to reach this office, and am horrified and disgusted at how poor the customer service and lack of knowledge that I've experienced. Terrible Doctor's office, very unprofessional staff, there was only 1 patient when we got there and no one even entertained us. I tried to stand in front of their window but they just walked back and forth but did not even ask "HOW CAN I HELP YOU?" Why make an appointment if they made you wait for 2 hours or more than that, I left my work place early without getting paid just to get to their office on time and after you showed up on time, that's what I got? My husband even planned to be late to work just for that but ended up called out work because he had to wait for me. Worst staff, rude and unprofessional, not even single shame that their patients are waiting outside while they're just talking and I came to have my FREE ANNUAL CHECK UP which the nurse said Pap Smear was included. But guess what they charged my Insurance for almost $4000 for all other lab works they did without telling or asking me. Dr. Waite is a good doctor but to be honest, I was so disappointed how she did not discuss with me that she is going to run all the test/lab works right there and then because of what she think she had too. But could've been nice or common sense to let her patients know about it and it's not even a single test but a lot, that cost me arm and a leg. If I don't have insurance, could've been worst could affect my credit score. I wasn't ready for that bill that the lab sent me, and because we could not afford the bill on due date we had to call the lab that we will be late but I was worried that they will report it and affect my credit, I had to find ways to pay it. Very sweet doctor. Her staff is super cool & they treat you like a human being, not just a patient. Dianne is extremely sweet too. Love them. I just became a new patient there, & I'm going to continue coming here. Environment is super clean & everyone's very friendly. I don't know what the other patients are talking about with the wait time because I made my appt at 11:30am & was taken to the back at 11:40am. A 10 min wait that's it. & whether members are young or old doesn't determine their job performance nor how professional they are. Age means nothing because I felt like the YOUNG staff members treated me like HUMAN whereas I've had older staff members at other PCPs/OBGYNs treat me just like a patient & only cared about what insurance I had. DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR! I went in for a UTI test one day which took about three hours to do. Norma Waite prescribed me an antibiotic for seven days. They said they would have the results for next week on Monday. When they didn't call, I called them on Tuesday. I was on hold for 27 mins when I finally got through. When I asked for the results, the receptionist put me on another long hold. She came back and said that she had to call Quest to get the results. When I asked her she said I would need to come back in on Friday. I asked her why? And she said the doctor would discuss the results with you then. I told her this is not right. If I needed a different antibiotic to get rid of the UTI I should be prescribed it over the phone right? The receptionist said they need to be in person to prescribe. I told her this isn't right and they need to tell me the results today. She put me on hold again and then came back and told me the results were clean and I had no UTI I didn't need to come in Friday. I have never written a review in my life but I thought I needed to help out other people before they make the same mistake. I went to Dr Waite for my annual womens check up and this was my first visit. I first find the staff very pleasant, friendly and courteous. I filled out the necessary paperwork and waited to see the doctor. I was later call in to check my weight and usuall blood pressure. I was then asked to wait in a room for Dr Waite. The wait for her was about 30 min. She is a very nice doctor and very friendly. She talk with me abit and I find her very professional. I will have her now as my doctor. I was a former patient of Dr Catherine Zelner but it is so hard to get to see her. Only her PA is available. It is very personal for me to get seen by a doctor because these days when you visit your doctor or a doctor, you are left to see a Physician Assistant (nothing is wrong with a PA but my personal bit). I did my Pap smear a few weeks ago but I did not get a call back to let me know what my result was. I am use to my doctors office calling me with the result but I guess Dr Waite office does it differently. I will give them a call today. Overall good experience. read more

I actually really like this office the first time I visited. I had been to 2 other horrendous gynos in the months prior, so the experience was very nice and refreshing. I agree with other reviews that the office could use some updating a paint job, but otherwise it's fine. On my first visit, I was seen within 30 minutes of arriving, and Dr. Waite was very friendly and calm, talking to me throughout my appt and pap smear. She made the whole experience very comfortable. So when it was time to book my yearly visit the next year, I gladly did it. This ended being a completely different experience. Upon arrival I was informed that Dr. Waite had an emergency delivery and would be 30-45 minutes late. It would have been nice if I received a warning call or something before arriving for my appt since this meant more time that I would need to take out of a work day to accommodate for this. I ended up waiting over an hour before being called back. Now at this point I'm thinking the doctor is actually in, but nope, she still wasn't in the office. So I undress and am sitting in the 2 pieces of flimsy paper for 30 minutes before getting redressed and finding a nurse to find out what was going on. At that point she STILL had not gotten to the office. At almost 2 hours of waiting with nothing to show, my visit turned out to be an absolute waste of my time and complete disregard for me as a patient. read more

If I could give her zero stars I would. It was my first time seeing her and all of a sudden I had all these issues (which I didn't) she claimed my tests for herpes came back positive but when I called to get my results (due to a family death I couldn't come in) the nurse kept telling my results weren't in... even though I had a message stating my results were in. After numerous calls and the nurse saying only Dr. Waite could give me my results the nurse finally said it was positive.. when I asked what to do she said just take this medicine (they had no idea how often to take it though, I was asked to read whatever the prescription said). 2 years of thinking I had herpes I was finally convinced to get another opinion and BAM... 2 results later from two different doctors my tests came back negative. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Waite to anyone, she destroyed my life for 2 years thinking I had something I didn't even have. read more

I was a first time patient today Monday, 10/17/2016 and had a very good experience with Dr. Waite and her staff from the moment I called to make the appointment with Nikala (phonetic) to the time I left. I had stopped by her office last week to pick up the new patient intake forms so that when I arrived for my appointment today I would not have to complete them there, so I was really prepared. My appointment was at 12:45 pm and I was called in around 1 pm. Her assistant Diane took my weight, blood pressure and directed me to the exam room where she took my blood pressure. She went over the intake forms with me and added whatever additional comments were necessary. After that I waited about another 10 minutes for Dr. Waite. After we went over my history I expressed to her my concerns and she patiently addressed them by answering all of my questions without making me feel rushed. She is very thorough during examination and after. Knowing that this is how she practices medicine with each patient, I will not become impatient during my future visits if I have to wait longer to see her next time. This is a doctor who is independent and who will not let her patients leave her office until they are fully satisfied with her service no matter how long she takes, especially during the first visit. I can't tell you how many doctors I have seen over the years (I am over 50) who follow a script provided by their corporate hospital affiliate and who not only rush you out of there, one former doctor even told me she only had 15 minutes for me. Not Dr. Waite. As far as other reviews referring to her office furniture and brand of blood pressure monitor, I didn't pay attention to that other than see a bright clean office with typical waiting room furniture. When Diane took my blood pressure I knew her reading was accurate because I take my own BP at home with a 'brand name' BP monitor I've seen at most offices, so it doesn't matter to me what brand the devices are as long as the readings are accurate. Again, I've been to various doctors' offices who have the latest technology in medical equipment where a staffer didn't know how to use it properly and gave me inaccurate BP readings. As you can imagine the OB/GYN annual exam had always been the one one I least looked forward to every year so I would schedule these exams every several years instead of annually. However because of the friendliness and professionalism of Dr. Waite and her entire staff I no longer have to have an anxiety attack over whether I should return to annual visits as recommended. I personally did not experience office staff eating, being rude or lengthy delays. For those patients who complained about how long they had to wait before they were called in, I might suggest that new patients come in with intake forms already completed and that Dr. Waite's staff schedule NEW patients during times more spaced apart than returning patients. My next review will be as a returning patient next month so stay tuned! read more
