I hired this company to investigate and help file a police complaint against an investment adviser who defrauded me. They didn't do anything of the kind. They didn't conduct an investigation, they didn't contact the relevant regulatory bodies in the US and Canada (his company was incorporated in the US). They didn't contact any law enforcement organization. They just repackaged all the documents I gave them, transcribed what I told them, and forwarded this on to the Ontario Securities Commission. For this simple repackaging of documents they charged me over $2000. When I tried to get a copy of their "investigation," to add insult to injury, they charged me another $260 for a stack of documents that were exactly the same documents I gave them at the outset. I refuse to pay this highly inflated fee, and now they have sent the file to a collections agency. You're better off just doing everything yourself than hiring these people.
