My email stated going forward we will only communicate via email as text messages are not good documentation for a $3K project (it is what he gave me without seeing the project). A week has past and no response. I had another very bad experience last year with another concrete person and Ramos seemed to follow the same path, so I am backing off. The $3K did not include materials. It is not a big job, and I have done this myself in past homes. As you can see in his response below that he never intended to follow-up yet lead me to believe he would send an estimate and to send him pictures. Why say that with no intention to follow-up. amazing how a negative review gets immediate attention.

Mike, the supervisor, kept a good eye on everything and was very helpful throughout the process. He thoroughly inspected the work once it was all finished. I was very impressed with how solid and strong the material was. The posts were made of cedar, and the construction was a quality job. The staining added the perfect finishing touch to our patio. We came to an agreement that Groundworks would repair the full driveway for a reduced cost and I am thrilled. They are coming out Friday, and we will see what happens, but I feel that Groundworks genuinely wanted to make me happy and accepted that their repair was not up to their standards. A 4 day job turned into 4 weeks and they still weren't even close to being done. Always an excuse…read more Then they tried to charge us for things they didn't do, and times they weren't even here working, all because they tore up our water softener system and ruined every appliance in our house that uses water 4 days after starting the job. We had to pay to get things fixed or do it ourselves. Joseph saw the huge expense piling up after 4 weeks and decided he would try to extort us by sending us fraudulent billing to get more money out of us. We refused and told him not to darken our doorway again! He was rarely on the job site and had no idea what his guys were doing. If it wasn't for our cameras around the house, he might have convinced us of some pretty expensive lies. This guy has no idea what he is doing and relies on two guys (though he claims he has more working for him but even they told us it's just the two of them) who work unsupervised and he never even comes to see what they have done each day. If we saw him it was to drop off or pick up a trailer. He ALWAYS has some family issue going, or something at his house needing something, that keeps him from being around. He has no clue how to run a business. Has no ethics, and lies right to your face. We were never paid back for all the damage they did to our house through negligence, plus we paid for pavers we never had delivered. His funny math more than a few times showed he was trying to rip us off. His guys will say they will do something and no one says one word about it will cost more. They left the job and stopped showing up until we agreed to pay HIM more money we DID NOT OWE HIM when we had paid him for 75% of the job, and he wasn't even 50% done. I wouldn't trust this guy to put up a clothes line, much less anything more complex. If you're considering hiring them, I would strongly recommend against it. it's a shame I didn't see honest negative reviews from others before we hired him. Biggest regret of our lives! Now we are out even more money having to pay another company to fix this mess they made here. The pavers aren't even level! Looks like a roller coaster with all the hills and dips! Total nightmare!

Run away as fast as you can. Had victor and his crew do sidewalks, patio, and slab for garage…read more You would not believe the issues and the poor quality. Things like boot marks in the concrete. Not just one, many. Wheelbarrow tracks, etc. For the garage, the slab was so lopsided and was a rhombus, not a rectangle. The builder couldn't place the building. Victor ghosted us as soon as there were issues and never made it right. He also insisted on payment either in cash or wire. We sent a wire and the wire itself was flagged by the federal reserve and they wouldn't release the funds until he talked with them. Of course, this took some time and he was aggressive with us. Ended up finding a reputable concrete company and they had to come tear out Victor's shoddy work. When they did so, they noted several other issues we wouldn't have known about. For example, the rebar was minimal and it was all sunk to the bottom. They had laid it on the ground and poured over it. We watched them do it and didn't think at the time that, duh, the rebar should be "in" the concrete, not under it. Another issue was that the patio slab was boot attached to the home slab at all. It had already begun to drift. If you want a quick and terrible job that you will regret and spend time and energy trying to fix, hire SoTex. There is more to a job than just being able to have the lowest quote and, in this case, it really really matters.

About 4 months ago things started to change. He was no longer reliable, truthful, or dependable. I discovered that he was lying about cutting different properties and was always filled with hundreds of excuses. Meanwhile, he then tells me he got a big mowing job at the VA. Well, I am happy for him, but you don't just kick your good customers that pay within an hour of the property being completed to the curb. His communication skills are totally absent, and you constantly have to run after him. When he starts making excuses, you need to cut him loose. There are many lawn care people out there that are dying for the jobs and the work. Find one of them and give them your business. Dwayne doesn't care.
