My email stated going forward we will only communicate via email as text messages are not good documentation for a $3K project (it is what he gave me without seeing the project). A week has past and no response. I had another very bad experience last year with another concrete person and Ramos seemed to follow the same path, so I am backing off. The $3K did not include materials. It is not a big job, and I have done this myself in past homes. As you can see in his response below that he never intended to follow-up yet lead me to believe he would send an estimate and to send him pictures. Why say that with no intention to follow-up. amazing how a negative review gets immediate attention.

During framing, I had to raise several quality concerns that should have been caught by the crew, including misaligned roof framing, multiple anchor bolts with a split bottom plates, boards not sitting flush, and general issues related to a rushed job. These were not cosmetic issues, but basic workmanship and quality-control items. They also committed to returning to seal around the windows and have not followed through, leaving that item unfinished. It's been over two weeks since final payment. My advice to future customers is to inspect the work carefully as it progresses and not make final payment until all punch-list items are fully completed and verified. Once payment is made, unresolved items may remain unresolved. I also recommend reading some of the more critical reviews, as similar themes appear there as well.

Last year I had a fence blow down on one side of my house (along with most of San Antonio) and I was having a hard time getting a contractor to call me back, much less give me an estimate. Allen not only called me back, he came out and gave me a reasonable estimate and said he would work the job in as soon as he could. I was getting nasty notes from my HOA so this was a big help to me. The work was done on time, on budget, and MUCH better quality than the original builder. I had him give me an estimate on a deck at that time and was impressed out how reasonable it was. Fast forward to now and I am ready to build a deck, and my circumstances and finances allow for a much nicer deck than what he originally estimated. First I went through Home Advisor (which I recommend if you're lonely... you will get all kinds of calls lol) and they sent 3 different contractors out. I sent the first home without an estimate because he wouldn't even give me a quote unless I signed paperwork on the spot. The other two were also VERY high pressure and their quotes were... well they were high (like you have to be kidding high). That's when I remembered I had Allen's card and gave him a call. He came out himself and took measurements, asked questions about what I wanted (one of the other companies insisted on telling me what I wanted) and gave me a ball park quote on the spot. Just based on this experience and the previous work I would highly recommend them, but of course I will update this review once the work is done. (it's 3/16/18 now and I hope to start on it within the next month).

If after coming out they decided that they didn't want my business I would've thought the professional thing to do would to just say thanks for the inquiry but this is a project we're not able or willing to do. I've also noticed that it seems when someone gives him a negative review he can't find their information. Just based on his responses if I were a customer considering this company I'd reconsider after looking at his responses doesn't take responsibility for his actions.
