It soon turned into I think is a major job as a tree root grew over an access point for the sprinkler. I helped Manuel try and cut it and with the help of the landscaper, the root was removed. Then we found out the master valve needed to be replaced, another valve needed to be replaced, found a leak in a previously repaired pipe in the yard, one rotor was broke at the base, and another was not rotating. Guess after 19 years of never really having the system looked at, yesterday was the day to get it done, especially since the entire front yard has new sod. I am grateful Benitez came to the rescue. We will definitely use them again as we are looking to sell the house next year and I would like to make sure the new sod is covered when the sprinklers are on. This is a tough one to leave as we are quite embarrassed we got scammed by Bill Marty (real name…read moreMarty Averlar). Found Bill on a contactor Facebook group and was in contact with them for a year or so before we actually used his services. Started getting red flags right away with some cancellations and did not seeming like he knew what he was doing. Requested some references which he provided which made us feel better as the pictures were beautiful on the people we talked to spoke highly. Bill was given 55k for a large landscaping and turf job. He got about a quarter of the supplies there and turfed about 1/10 of what needed to be done and then let us know that he had a family emergency and had to go to Florida and that his uncle would finish. The problem is Bill had all the money. He stopped responding for 2 weeks and then finally got back to us with 100 different excuses as he had done throughout the 3 month process. Long story short we had to get a different contractor to finish the job. To make matters worse it turns out he didn't actually pay some of the companies he got the material from, so now we have these companies calling us and threatening to put a lien on the property because money is owed on the supplies that he ordered to our house and never paid. After this happened the truth started to show itself. Found a few other companies he had shut down just in the last year that had horrible reviews including greener grass lawns llc. All of the numbers of the references he gave me no longer worked, so I'm sure they were just friends or someone agreeing to take a call that weren't really clients. Could go on and on. Long story short, please don't use this company or Bill.
