I would have to agree with most of the other negative reviews. While the nursing staff is great, very accommodating, professional, and friendly, the facility policies or protocols I feel are lacking. This location closes at 5 PM. Meaning that no one is upfront to open the door or answer phones. So if you're handicapped, and you park in front in handicapped parking, you still have to walk all the way around to the back of the building to get in. Same for when you leave. No one is available to use the code to unlock the front door where the handicap parking is, so you are left with having to go out the back and walk all the way around to the front. I feel this is a lawsuit waiting to happen if some disabled or handicapped person falls and breaks a hip. There are two doctors that service the facility. But I'm not sure they are there every day. They definitely do not physically see a patient every single day. There is 1, yep just 1, NP there daily, but he does not have time to see every single patient. An awful lot is left up to the nurses and the CNA's, God bless them! Definitely understaffed but I was told they staff what the state requires so who knows. Maybe it's a Florida issue. Also, because they technically close at 5 PM, no one is available to answer the phone after 5 PM. They actually leave that up to the nurses and the CNA's! As if they don't have enough to do already. They don't even have an answering service. The phone just rings and rings. God forbid there is an emergency. As for the food, I know, it's a nursing home/rehab, and the food is pretty much horrible at all of these places. This one is particularly bad. For example, my mom got a grilled cheese, tomato soup, and french fries. The fries and soup were cold, and the grilled cheese was basically a piece of cold cheese between two pieces of very lightly toasted bread from a toaster. Not grilled. Again, it's a rehab so you're better off bringing food into your loved one. Just be sure to do it before 5 PM if you are disabled. Otherwise, by the time you walk around to the back of the building to get in, the food that you're bringing in for your loved one will probably be cold. You're better off not using the handicap, parking spaces and parking in the back if you can find parking, if not, just be careful not to fall. My experience was mostly positive for the three weeks I attended Aspire for Rehab.following surgery. The nursing staff was very caring, and competent as well as the hard-working CNA's who were very responsive to needs and requests within record time. The PT/OT staff were knowledgeable & supportive and flexible regarding daily scheduling. The social worker was on top of insurance related issues and actively communicated & followed up with all concerns. The recreation staff were a team of fun loving gals who regularly planned lively activities for all to enjoy . The receptionist was friendly greeter and made a delightful first impression . Since I have many food sensitivity is my only complaint was my inability to regularly find foods on the menu that I could enjoy . read more

One star is way too high for this shit show. Worst facility ever. The care of patients is horrendous not answering the call lights allowing patients to lay in pee and poop for hours. The slop they feed the patients is enough to kill rats. The management is dreadful, can't say we found one person who cares. Social worker should be fired on the spot. On 07/14/2025 My father was admitted in the hospital with SOB and complications on his heart. During his admission I spoke with the Social Worker regarding his care at home. The conversation of my father care was subject, to a surgery schedule on 07/29/2025 in my R arm due to a fracture does not heal. Due to that circumstance, I was not able to provide feedings for him trough a gastrostomy tube 3 X a day. He was only getting personal care M_F 4 Hrs. Medicare didn't provide a nurse for his feedings. After the surgery I will have a brace on my arm. Because of that it was better to send him to a Rehabilitation facility for therapy and stabilize because his weakness and cardiac problems. for 100 days at the same time I will properly heal from my surgery. I agree to send him to rehabilitation facility, and I chose Aviata at the sea harbor Beach 615Miami Road Fort Lauderdale, Fl. because the CMS rating. On 07/23/2025 my father was transfer in stable condition alert and oriented, In the fact we spoke by phone several times, On 07/24, I spoke with him, explain to him that I will going to get blood near the Rehab. the next day and I will take some clothes for him. At 10;30 pm, I got a call that with sad news that my father passes away. I was trying to get information as of what happen with my father and come to find out that there was no doctor at the time. My question is what doctor saw my father at time of his death and order to send him to a funeral home and the worse is that is been more than 2 weeks of my father death and the death certification not sign because the doctor was in vacation. I spoke with the administration Rehab office, and I told them that it should be on call doctor to sign the certification. I understand hat on call doctor refuse to sign because he never saw my father. I am sure that is this situation will happen to his father or mother will be an anguish and frustration. Understaffed with new aides coming for one time never to return again . I don't blame them the underpaid aides do most of the work. The nurses are very understaffed and resent when you need help. (I would like to point out that George was the best nurse ever. ) Don't ask for pain medication you just get ignored. The contents disclosed that I was accurate with my negligence report, they are indeed negligent in their patient care. If you care for your loved one, I STRONGLY suggest you take them elsewhere. Unfortunately, this facility is understaffed, unresponsive and unable to handle pretty much the basics of living for their residents. My mother went there, and quickly went downhill under their 'care' - which consisted basically of letting her watch television all day in a wheelchair. My Aunt was in this rehab for 18 days. The therapists were wonderful and very helpful. The problem was with the nursing staff. Most were inattentive. My aunt waited over an hour each time she called for someone to help her to the bathroom. My aunt is not a complainer and did not summons staff unnecessarily.
