The first floor (3 connected rooms) covers what I mentioned above - with both artifacts and signs. The top floor has interesting artifacts like a permanent hair wave machine, a scary looking life-sized doll, artwork, and a bedroom set up as if it were 1890. Took us about an hour and 15 minutes. There was a gentleman when we came it (don't know his name) with a beard that was very helpful, explaining stories and artifacts. He left 45 minutes later when someone came in to take over who sat at a desk.

It is really informational and you can learn lots going here. They did an amazing job recreating the Titanic and protecting the artifacts, and most topics about the history were covered. Minus one star because if I died on the Titanic I think I would haunt everybody working the gift shop because 3/4 of the items being sold were actually ludicrous. Of course, I'm not going to name all of them but just know that they aren't the most respectful to victims. It's a nice place to stop by if you're touring Branson, it's a one of a kind exhibit. I wouldn't go again just because I already know the feel of it, but it's great for first timers.

The museum is named after a Missouri radio and TV pioneer who operated out of nearby Springfield. So, there's a room dedicated to Ralph Foster and his broadcast achievements. Adjacent is a room covering his most popular Grand Ol' Opry style show and the country music stars who visited it. The TV Clampett's 1921 Oldsmobile truck from the Beverly Hillbillies has central placement on the first floor; the series creator was from the area. Famous Missourian and artist Thomas Hart Benton has an exhibit space of his landscapes. The second floor largely contains guns and taxidermic works of animals from around the world--both donated collections. Famed entertainer Andy Williams has a small exhibit of his Christmas sweaters due to his long-time residency in Branson. There's also space devoted to the history of College of the Ozarks. And so it goes. While some exhibits are exhaustively detailed, others--particularly the animals--have cursory descriptions. A beautiful exhibit of hundreds of mounted birds includes only the name of each, with some names so jumbled together it's confusing which bird is which. The animal descriptions are lightly proofread Encarta notes--a digital encyclopedia discontinued before 2010. The museum, however, offers a good diversion and you can easily spend a couple of hours here. It's well worth the low light entry expense, which will particularly appeal to families and seniors.

The staff were also wonderful: they are college students who work during the summer to pay for their room and board. Admission was $2 per person. I was given a free commemorative coin. I also picked up a couple of magnets. It was tempting to purchase a BB gun, but we already didn't have much room traveling. This museum was on the small side, but had high ceilings. Everything was very well-displayed. Some in glass cases. My first ever gun was a Daisy BB gun. I thought I was top stuff too with it. There was an audio tour, but I didn't partake with my dog in tow and my daughters asking a thousand questions along the way. Lol. You can't miss this charming place with the 25-foot tall "World's Largest Daisy BB Gun" standing upright near the exit! Bucket list place for history and gun lovers.

I really loved the fact that they had benches that positions the body so that you're lying down and gazing towards the ball. It's so dang comfortable and makes it absolutely easy to just stare and be mesmerized by the brightly lit fixture. Highly recommend it if you have a chance to stop by the Crystal Bridges museum. Has plenty of parking near the additional parking lot at the Crystal Bridges Museum and right across from the Amazeum.
