There are shows happening all day long, from live music and bluegrass to comedy and saloon-style performances. Depending on the season, there are also special productions throughout the park. It's nice to be able to sit down, take a break, and still feel like you're part of the experience. And since the shows are included with admission, it adds a lot of value to your visit. It's also a great spot if you have younger kids. There is plenty for them to do beyond just rides, including play areas, interactive attractions, and even a train ride. It's not one of those parks where little kids are limited. They can stay busy all day. The whole park has a really cool 1880s theme and is honestly one of the most beautiful theme parks I've been to. Between the shops, craftsmen, and scenery, it feels more like an experience than just rides. That said, be ready for a lot of walking. This park is very hilly and you will feel it by the end of the day. Lines can also get long during busy times. Overall, it's a really unique place with a ton to do for all ages. Between the shows, rides, and kid-friendly activities, you can easily spend a full day here and still not see everything.

From where we started at the White River Landing, everything was smooth and well organized. The landing itself is charming, especially in the evening with string lights and a couple of shops designed to match the showboat's vintage aesthetic. There was a dedicated priority boarding line for Captain's Club guests that started on time and before general admission, so we avoided any wait. Staff efficiently guided us through boarding (complete with photo opportunity with an option to purchase later) and to our seats in the dining area. The dining experience was outstanding thanks to our attentive server and other dining staff. With Captain's Club, we enjoyed a menu to choose from, were served ahead of the general admission guests, and the food arrived quickly. During dinner, the show with the Rivertown Ramblers was energetic, also well-organized, and highly entertaining. The talented vocalists and musicians delivered a fantastic performance. The combination of the scenic cruise, great food, priority service, and live entertainment made for a memorable evening and one of the highlights of our Branson trip. I highly recommend the Showboat to anyone visiting and definitely upgrade to Captain's Club if you can.

They told us to arrive an hour before our ticket time but we I think we would have been okay even coming 30 minutes before. It's well organized but having that extra time for our first visit was fine. After dinner and disembarking we tried the trail around the lake because we were still full. Would 100% do it again. The boat bathrooms were a little different and stopped flushing but staff were quick to respond. Overall staff were great and attentive! Nice big parking lot. My only advice is avoid the 2nd tier side seating. Go for the floor or 2nd tier facing the stage. The side seating visually cuts off half the stage.

The snack ladies seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people and the lines were long but the prices weren't as criminal as most shows I have gone to. A hot dog was $4 and a chicken sandwich was $7. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained and there were comfy couches and places to charge your phone in a pinch. I felt like we were in a Hallmark movie. There is a decent amount of parking available between two lots, and it can get kind of tight at peak times. Everyone that was working the event was so friendly. They have a ton of photo opportunities and activities going on. Everything is included in the price of admission. I found the admission to be reasonable compared to other similar events. We just got the general admission. VIP admission was available, which included everything in the general admission, plus a trip up the tower and a ride on the coaster. They have a host of carnival games to play, such as roller bowler, basketball shot, skeeball, football throw and baseball throw, minus the prizes and annoying solicitors. They also have the Hills' animals such as sheep, and alpacas that are available to view and pet. My kids really liked the jump pad, stomp lights and little ninja course. Their favorite had to be the Mega Tube Slide though. The slide was fast and surprisingly did not have a line. The events Santa's workshop was awesome. They had an area where kids could color and right letters to Santa, and then mail them. They also had a face painting area where they painted designs on kid faces for an additional fee. And, of course they had the Jolly one himself there. He was a really good Santa. And they were taking professional photos for a fee, but allowing people to also take pictures with their cell phone, which is rare for being allowed when professional pictures are being taken. You will find a nativity scene, a fire pit, and have access to the tree top sky trail while you are there. I really liked the Hayride, which took us on a ride though a portion of the drive through Trail of Lights. It was cool to see the lights and not have to drive to do it. There is also a little playground area with slides and swings that is very nice, it is right by the ninja course. My kids spent a lot of time there. The event covers a pretty large area and includes phot ops such as picture in a sleigh, large bales of hay painted as Santa and reindeer, benches and event frames. The fire pit is also picturesque and has chairs around it to heat up. We did not have VIP tickets, but my kids still wanted to ride the coaster, so we just paid for it al a carte. They loved it so much that they went twice. My eight year old went by herself and I let my 4 year old drive. The place that you purchase the tickets to ride was pretty warm. We took that as an opportunity to heat up. It is also the base of the tall tower that gives you panoramic views of the valley. I really loved this spot. It was reasonably priced, well decorated with Christmas lights and other decorations and had tons of stuff to do. We spent about a half a day here. I recommend timing your visit so you can catch the place during daylight and night so that you get the best of both worlds. I highly, highly recommend checking this place out. You can order drinks via a QR code and someone from the bar area will deliver them and they will check everyone's ID no matter how old you are. The drink was not good. Tasted very watered down for lack of flavoring and alcohol. You do get a non alcoholic drink included I ordered the unsweetened tea and it took her a little bit to get it because it's not one of the pitchers they keep handy. She refilled everyone else's drink somewhat regularly and when I asked for a refill she had to serve dessert first which I understand the schedule but then it was pretty much almost towards the end of the show before I got a refill. Once they start serving the food the show is happening and as our server is quickly serving food down the row she is saying something about napkins covering your plate and before I can register what is happening I feel all of this sand hit me in my hair, on my shoulder and in my food. She knew when it was coming and it only happened once during the show but I feel like that was something she could have mentioned when she had our full attention before the show started. Myself and 3 other people in the row needed new plates of food. I know it's hard to make food for that many people all at once but the food was just ok. The chicken was good and the soup was ok. Pork was dry and corn was very chewy. As for the show the horse riding was fine. I think skeeter made the show with her comedy and I liked when they started the competition portion.
