Anders and Brittany made a long(er than expected) stay at Altus an absolute breeze. The house is well-equipped with all the appliances and comforts of home. While it's an older house compared to some of the corporate crash pads, they are always on the ball with upkeep and maintenance, responding almost immediately to any minor issues or shopping needs compared to other crashpads that provide no services. You can also tell the difference between staying in a crash pad owned and managed by a local family versus a corporate crash pad or one with owners interstate - local owners like Anders and Brittany truly look after you. The pool is a great bonus, especially in summer, with weekly pool cleaning by the super-friendly pool guy. The lawns and yard are kept up regularly so you can just enjoy time by the pool, playing pool, or binging out on your favorite shows. read more

I stayed in the porch swing house (summer of 2023). It has lots of room for activities, grilling, and a nice storm shelter. The back patio has a covered and screened in area for fun summer evenings. The main living area is gorgeous, completely updated, open concept, recessed lighting, and modern kitchen appliances. Huge advantage was the reverse osmosis water spout near the kitchen sink. Made clean drinking water and saved a bunch of plastic. Rooms are setup with fire tv equipment and streaming accounts already setup. Internet was very fast. The primary bedroom has an ensuite, with the other two rooms sharing a bathroom. I shared the bathroom with a roommate and it was very nice. read more

I would highly recommend staying here for any stay at Altus! The house is located in a quiet neighborhood about 10 minutes from base, making it ideal for the unpredictable schedules that come with training. Brittney and Anders are absolutely wonderful, and their being located in Altus made it so easy to communicate about needs within the crashpad. Its close proximity to the reservoir was great for access to good running routes, and the pool makes those scorching Oklahoma summers just a bit more bearable. The ideal place to stay for your extended training at Altus! Great neighborhood, plenty of food options nearby, and everything is well maintained and clean. The backyard in-ground pool is the best way to beat the summer heat, and the two-car garage helps keep you car out of the sun and elements (especially nice during summer storms that have been known for occasional hail). Highly recommend this crash pad for anyone headed to altus. I had a great stay there and really enjoyed grilling on the covered patio and going for a swim in the pool each day. They had all the amenities you could ask for and management would frequently shoot me a text asking if there was anything I needed and fill any request quickly. Highly recommend! Brittney and Anders were super quick to answer and get me a room in the Porch Swing house. Most of the food spots I went to were less then 5 minutes away and base was around 10 minutes away. Kitchen and living room area was kept nice and clean with all the cooking and resting area you need. Tv's all had Netflix, prime video, and Disney plus, which was a big bonus for me since I was in Altus for a little over a month. Overall great place to stay! read more

Kitchen is fully stocked with all of the appliances/cooking stuff you will need throughout your stay, along with great amenities like a smoker and grill outside! Awesome place to stay for Altus TDYs! I stayed there for C17 PCO and it was a great place to relax and get some studying done. Its got all the amenities you'd hope for: great DirecTV package w/DVR, xbox, capable kitchen, nice appliances, comfortable beds, two car garage, and more. Plus, they have a pool table and a pool! Aviator Crash Pads helped my wife and I out big time. Due to delays in the house we were supposed to move into, we were without a home for a couple weeks. Even with short notice, Brittany got us right into a room. With a dog, the thought of having to stay a couple weeks in a hotel was daunting, but in the Pear House we had all the privacy and amenities that you would expect a home to have.
