Indianapolis, IN The service was horrible. There was 1 guy…read moreat the counter and 5 people in line. He stayed with his customer for about 20 min. He was either sick or tired or sick and tired. He constantly yawned with an open mouth and continued to drink his monster drink. The other agent had stepped away and left his customer at the other end. It took at least 35-40 mins to check in, and that's because another agent came to assist. I got to the assigned car, and while I looked it over, another customer came up and asked ?"did they assign me this car also", I stated yes. I asked an attendant, "Who kept walking while answered" what to do. She said go into the office, I asked what office and pointed as if I knew where it was. We went into the office and, of course "another line". You see, I was only going to be in Indy for 5hrs so these wait times matter. After 20 more minutes of standing in line, they gave me another car. When got into the car, the seats were very warm. I looked for someone to ask how to turn the seat heater off, but no one was available. I asked the attendant when I was leaving, but they didn't know how to do it. Therefore, I sat in heated seats for the 2hrs that I had the car. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

They are trying to charge my credit card over $1200 and I contacted my credit card company asking them to refuse the charge. They said I needed to contact Budget. I called several times and they disconnected the call. I found out from my friend that Avis did the same thing to her and most people don't know that Avis, Budget & Payless are all the same owner. If you have another option to use a different car rental company do that because Avis and Budget are running a scam to see if they can make extra money off their customers.

The problem is I reserved a compact car but when I got to location I asked the sales rep, ERIC, the cost of upgrading since I was going a long distance. He recommended 2 cars, one for $4 and the other for $5. He said the upgrade would be better since I'm going such a long distance. I chose the Toyota Corolla for $5 upgrade. we did a walk around and I noticed that the car had several scratches. I mentioned them to ERIC and he said they don't count because they have to be a certain measurement. I decided to take pictures anyway. When we got to the front, I noticed that the right bumper was sticking out. I drew his attention to it. He said, don't worry about that, it's documented. Then he pushed the protruding bumper in and it stayed it. He said the car was a good choice. Then he relentlessly tried to sell me insurance that was price prohibitive for me at the moment. Besides, I told him, I'm already an insured driver. But he kept at it forcefully until I had to look him in the eye and tell him I could not afford it and don't need it because I'm a careful driver. He eventually gave up and had me sign the contract. My friend and I started on our way the next morning but the hood of the car kept lifting up, causing a beeping sound inside the car. Twice we had to push the hood back down. So we located another enterprise location to try to exchange the car, but they did not have a similar car available. So we decided to take our chances. We arrived to our destination safely. Upon returning the car to the location at my destination, the sales rep examined the car and noticed the damaged bumper and informed me about it. I told her that's how I rented it and the rep, ERIC, said it was not a problem because the damage was recorded. She suggested I talk with him about it. I did and he said it's their responsibility now because that's where I returned it. We kept going back and forth, ERIC promising that he would take care of it. After several unattended phone calls I decided to put a claim in through my credit card company. I sent them the pictures they requested after which they denied my claim (I do intend to continue pursuing my claim). So the lesson is, TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR RENTED VEHICLE BEFORE YOU SIGN THE CONTRACT. AND ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU ABOUT THE CAR OR THE RENTAL, HAVE THEM SHOW IT TO YOU IN WRITING. VOICE RECORD THE CONVERSATION WHEN AND WHERE POSSIBLE. Please trust me on this. A hard lesson learned. I would not want you to have the same experience. it was pointed out to me that this is probably a practice of that lication or the company: they convince you to buy that expensive insurance to pay for the damages to their vehicles. Went to the Fox for what turned out to be a very expensive night. No idea how I lost my car key…read morefob. Called AAA and they had no locksmiths available. So much for a Plus membership! Then came the scare tactics. Without a key, towing the car could cause damage so they have to use a truck with "special tools." AAA only pays up to $100 of the tow anyway and their contracted locksmiths are shady. To Yelp I go! Yelp sent my request to a few companies. Three called. One said he could get me into the car but couldn't make a key. Another said he was too busy. Sonkey was the easy choice! Christopher was very nice on the phone which is important when you're stranded downtown at night. He gave me a fair price ($250). I know because I called around to compare. Another company charged more for "programming" the key fob. Chris also provided status updates. When it took longer than the 45 minutes he'd quoted he let me know how long it would be. No-one does that. When Chris arrived he put me at ease by telling me about himself. He's a producer, musician, song writer and makes worship music. Sometimes his son works with him. Hence "Son"key. Payment was easy. Use Zelle to avoid credit card fees. Most importantly he made me a key fob that was as good as my original. I've had some really raggedy replacement fobs so that's a blessing. He provided an invoice too. In short, I saved Sonkey in my phone in case I'm ever in need of a locksmith. Extra points for supporting a small, black owned business. 100% recommend!
