Call 2 days ahead, confirm the rental, and ask how early can we pick our car up. They inform us since we paid online ahead, we can't pick the car up earlier than the exact time we chose(12 noon). Ok, I guess that's a protocol thing, sure, pick it up at 12. Come to 12 noon today, go over the Waterford/Pontiac location to pick up our car for a 2 week rental. Oh...you need a credit card on file. No, that's a debit card, we can't use that. Interesting since they didn't have any issue billing the over $400 on that Debit Card. I don't use credit cards....so I don't have one. So, easily enough we contact ENTERPRISE, and they have a car for us within 5 minutes. Yay Enterprise! They can't get it to us until 4pm, but they will be happy to pick us up to get the car. Yay again Enterprise! So, then of course I ask about refunding my car rental fee from Hertz. Oh, we can't do that in the office, you need to call this 1-800 number. Sure....sit on hold for 15 minutes, and finally get someone. Oh, since you paid online the refunds take 7-10 days to process. No, there's nothing we can do about it. Again, quickly and easily took over $400 for the rental, but it'll take a long time to refund it. Long story long.....NEVER.....EVER use Hertz, even if you're trying to save a few bucks. I'll be sure to let anyone looking for a rental car to contact Enterprise. Would give this review less than 1 star if I coukd.

The same damage I was understanding was covered in the $30 package. Damage they did not have proof of. They said they will refund me, I'll see if that's true. To even get a refund I had to call multiple branches and talk to a manager who's bedside manner is to steam roll you. Terrible experience wish I could go back in time and never go here.

When I got there to pick up the car, they took me out to a Jeep. I did not want a Jeep because it had big tires on it, and I am a short person making it hard to get in and out, and the mpg was poor. I had a long drive, costing me more in gas. However, the rep said there was no other car available to rent to me, even though there were lots of cars on the lot. She was very rude to me, even though I never raised my voice or used profanity. I was, however, obviously upset. She looked up other Enterprise locations and said they either had nothing or only had a Jeep. I find that hard to believe. She then offered me a more expensive vehicle. Eventually she said we cannot have a good business relationship and said, why don't you go to Avis and then ripped up the contract. I didn't want her to cancel just yet until I checked to see if Avis even had anything available. She put me at risk of having no vehicle on the date of my departure, despite having requested the rental over a week ahead of time. I think the Rep's name was Hannah but cannot be certain. I was fortunate to get a rental from Avis in the end, but I will never rent from Enterprise again. I repeat this story to everyone so they don't end up in this kind of situation. When I arrived, I was told that no cars were available except a large Toyota pickup truck. I explained that I could not safely drive such a large vehicle and asked whether they could help me find a smaller car at another location. The staff told me that the Flint Airport location might have cars available. When I asked if they could transfer my reservation, they began yelling at me and said they could not contact the Flint rental office. They were very rude and called me racial slurs because I was not born in the United States. After that, they told me they had arranged a reservation at the Flint Airport location and instructed me to go there. The representative at the Waterford office was a young, tall, man with red hair. When I asked for his name, he refused to provide it and told me to leave the office. I then drove 30 miles to the Flint Airport location, where I was told that my reservation had been canceled by the guy at the Waterford location and that they could not rent a car to me. The representative at the Flint location was also very rude, yelled at me, and told me to leave without providing any reason. I filed a racial discrimination complaint and will never rent from this company again. All the employees I dealt with were rude and racist. This was the first time in my life that I felt I was treated as less than human, even though the issue resulted from the company not having the vehicle I had reserved. Instead of helping me, they bullied me. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. Even the second time he tried to not tell me the full cost of the repair. He even tried to leave off certain costs like the cost of the sway bar links. I had to specifically ask for the full cost, and he had to put me on hold to add it up. I will be reporting them to the bbb and the ftc for fraudulent business practices. I have a recording of the conversation where they admitted to not putting the part back on my car. He knew I wouldn't want to proceed with the whole repair so he lied to me to steal my money. Now I paid $500 and still need a new car. I came to pick up my keys and they're not even here the guy stole them, and was holding them hostage to try to get me to take down my review he did end up giving me my keys. But now is harassing me in text to take down the review. In my opinion they are bullies and need to go to jail for harassing customers, and in my opinion purposely misleading them.
