Christina, the lead nurse there took some initial photos and really helped me get comfortable as we discussed the treatment process, which led down to rabbit holes of Korean bbq and the amazing foods Atlanta and Duluth has to offer! Dr. Huynh was very meticulous and make sure of my expectation managements. Super knowledgeable in this field and really helped me understand the "why" behind certain ways he did the procedure. Different fillers are used based on the individual, so after the doctor's assessment of me, he went with the Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, which apparently has the strongest hold, usually used on the jaw area. Dr. Huynh got right away to injecting the fillers across the nose and we were done within minutes with hardly any pain. He provided some aftercare advice and I was back on the 5 hour drive home. Seamless process and very enjoyable at that. Instead, when they were taken to the treatment room, no one explained what was actually included in the package I had already purchased. They proceeded to perform additional services without clearly discussing the cost or obtaining informed consent. To make matters worse, at the end of the appointment they placed an unexpected bill in front of the birthday guest and told them they owed more money because the prepaid credit wasn't enough. That is an incredibly embarrassing situation to put someone in on their birthday. When I called to question it, I was told that "everything was discussed in the room." That explanation is unacceptable, especially when the person you were supposedly explaining it , does not speak in English. Taking advantage of a language barrier and presenting surprise charges afterward is not how an honest business operates. This experience felt deceptive and completely ruined what was supposed to be a thoughtful birthday gift. I would not recommend this business to anyone looking for transparent pricing and ethical customer service.

When I reached out to The Maloney Center, I wasn't rude or threatening. I simply asked for a refund. Dr. Maloney first offered me $800 -- a fraction of what I'd paid -- and then, when I refused, he offered to refund the full amount only if I signed a "Settlement and Release Agreement." That agreement was deeply concerning. It was not a simple refund. It was a gag order -- a contract designed to silence me from ever sharing what happened, even truthfully. It required me to release him from all liability, promise never to speak about my experience, and even agree not to post honest reviews. As someone who coaches trauma and narcissistic abuse recovery, I recognize this dynamic instantly: when a powerful person or institution makes a mistake, instead of accountability, they try to control the narrative. I also requested my full certified medical records ( via email) to send to another surgeon for corrective work.
