Firstly, he is an open, honest and approachable guy and in the initial discussions, he was able to offer solutions to questions we had and help with practical guidelines. Once the work began, he was always punctual, and we quickly learned that he was easy to get on with and worked well with the other trades on the job. Most importantly, his considerable experience in working on old homes in England meant that his work was thorough, with close attention to detail, and there were no shortcuts. He brings an expertise in windows which added to the quality of our renovation. He was happy to listen to us when we had queries and we were impressed with his problem solving skills and willingness to work through options to determine the best outcome. His price point isn't low but it isn't high either. Actually by the end I thought he had really underquoted me, given the quality of the work and how much time he put into it. There were no hidden surprises in the final bill and he fixed anything I wasn't happy with as we went along (very few things) without fuss or extra expense. He had lots of ideas for special and cool features and I am so happy with the final result. The job took longer than he originally estimated, not because he took off for other work but because he has exceptional attention to detail and won't settle for anything less than a perfect finish. He discussed every aspect of the job and every decision in detail (maybe too much detail!) and managed the other tradies (plumber, sparky). It's been about a year now since the renovation and I am still thrilled with it. Anders is incredibly honest, transparent and accountable - so refreshing! Bunch of liars in the office denying the fact that they are responsible for the delayed install that took 6 visits and more than 2 weeks to be completed. After the install we had to keep requesting their install team to come out and fix different issues over and over again (at least 8 times in just 3 months). Now bragging about their 40 years of experience and blaming issue like wind and weather, which is of course a problem in Melbourne but products and services are designed and delivered to meet those issues and clients are properly informed on how to use the product and avoid these problems during such times. They think it's a joke to take clients hard earned money and then then ask to pay again for visits to fix the issues, not honoring the warranty. Very arrogant owner who has 0 manners or respect for suffering customers. We will take this to VCAT or anywhere else it needs to go to teach them a lesson and get our money back.
