I called the manager and he flatly denied it was 2.5mm and said I was the problem. Appalling response. He then claimed there was a tolerance of 2.75mm to 3.25mm, which means their engineered floors - which are supposed to be 'finished' and don't require sanding or oil - can have up to 0.5mm difference from one plank to the next. Imagine walking on that floor ... He then changed direction and claimed if there were any issues when laying the floor it was because the client doesn't know what they are doing. Nice. That's the kind of support I want when I hand over $5,000 - $10,000 to a business ... Clearly, they're not up to listening or working through problems with clients, and instead attack or challenge their clients when they draw attention to defects in their product line. I suggest you avoid them and take your business elsewhere - I know I will.
