There are 4 GP partners at the practice including nurses. I believe because of Government changes the nurses will not be based at the surgery anymore and will be elsewhere in Hamilton. I did have my flu jag last month and it was still within the surgery, I will need to keep checking to find out. I've been here that often that even before I get to the counter the receptionist gives me a nod. They know me, too well me thinks. Eep! Och to be honest it is nice, they are friendly and it shows they know their clients. Ive always managed to get what I've needed from the doctors and been cured by their good advice and prescribed medication, the majority of the time. There is a couple of unusual things about this surgery. 1. They do have music playing in the waiting area but it plays through a phone on the wall. This also doubles up for the doctor to call you. The music is usually catered for the older generation and it's so muffled sounding, well it is playing through the speaker phone. 2. My doctor has a dog who lies underneath his desk. He has a reason and there's signs up saying why the dog is there, I can't remember why but it's all above board. It is quite nice when you see its wee nose poking under the desk giving your feet a wee sniff. Another couple of things to note is that you can only book an appointment on the day, so call at 8am to make sure you get one as they go quick. They changed it to this system to reduce the amount of missed appointments. Also the only open for a half day on Wednesdays as the afternoons as I believe it's the baby clinc. Apart from these unusual things it's a pretty good doctors.

It eventually led to my being told I needed both big toenails permenantly removed by a chiropodist in Glasgow, near my old work "that's the only solution". I was distraught! When I sought a second opinion, I ended up here, explained my plight to Clare who suggested Terbinafine (much cheaper under its generic name than costly Lamisil trade name!), within 6 months my condition cleared up and my toes look amazing! Now I look forward to sandal weather! Clare has given me invaluable tips on foot care, creams, ailments etc. I used to hate my feet but now they look pretty sexy. As sexy as feet can be!

It's embarassing when the reception staff know your name when you walk in, it helps clarify just how often I have been in here for this that and the next thing. The interior shifts from warm and welcoming to cold and vacant fairly unpredictably, with countless flyers covering all sorts of health information everywhere. The receptionists are busy and hardworking and the Doctors I have met have been mostly excellent. It still worries me that my own GP left recently due to unmentionable health problems resulting from being a heavy smoker. You can arrange a home visit if you phone early enough and there are a few chemists right around the corner where you can pick up a prescription at the now humble sum of £4 which I believe is to drop further in Scotland. You can also pick up condoms in here if that's what you're after. Just bring your 'C card'. Good luck getting a variety pack though. I typically get taken 5/10 minutes after my appointment time which makes the wait even more unbearable, but I won't complain.

A fantastic health centre, but it is a bit impossible to get an appointment at short notice…read more This place used to be my dentist surgery, and was aimed at children who would rather stick pins in their eyes than allow someone to prod about their gob in latex gloves. That kid was me. The dentist was always absolutely lovely, and changed many times over the years, but each one just as nice as the previous! Sadly, i turned 18 and had to step into the adult world of dentistry, where they don't treat you like a baby, and I don't like it one bit! The rest of the centre is a doctors surgery, one which i am considering a move to myself (be prepared for a review coming soon about my own surgery....) and it is also a women's health clinic and a sexual health clinic at certain times of the week.

Well known in the area this is one of the better doctor's surgeries around. There are four doctors…read morein the practice and at least one practice nurse. Getting a routine appointment takes up to ten days unless there is a cancellation, emergency appointments tend to be dealt with on a triage system by the nurse. Waiting area is comfortable and fairly clean with lots of information about the NHS available in leaflets and on posters on the walls. Staff are very efficient and knowledgeable in what they do. I don't have to wait much past my appointment time when I'm waiting to see the doctor, in fact at times I am taken just before it depending on whether the previous patient has turned up.

I have experienced jobsworth, rules are rules, staff at reception. Don't try phoning for a repeat…read moreprescription in the morning they won't even talk to you about it. I received someone else's prescription by the postal system and when tried to get my own was told to come to surgery in person. Not forgetting to dispose of other persons prescription! Service was not helpful and I could suggest that customer service training could be improved.
