I was diagnosed with tendinitis, had an ultrasound for blood clots that…read morecame out negative, was told to wear a boot for 3 weeks and prescribed pain medication that can induce blood clots, only to find out I had 4 blood clots in my leg after admitting myself to the emergency room 3 weeks after the treatment. After the 3 weeks of "treatment" that clearly wasn't working, I saw the doctor with a massively swollen leg and was simply told to continue to wear the boot and take more medication! 2 days later I admitted myself to the emergency room. To make matters worse, when I asked his assistant why they didn't perform another ultrasound after my leg was massively swollen at the calf which in itself most likely signifies a blood clot, she said my insurance only covers one ultrasound per 6 month period. My insurance said that was incorrect, that I'm covered for an unlimited amount of ultrasounds. After all that, and sending multiple emails to the office explaining what happened to me having to go to the emergency room, no one even responded! No one cared whatsoever about my situation that was in all likelihood caused by the treatment from this doctor. Horrible, horrible experience to say the least. Patient beware.

The office is simple, to the point, no bells or whistles - seriously, I think the x-ray machine was a relic from when x-ray machines were first invented - but with me that's all good, it's part of the charm. If I wanted fancy I'd go to Cleaveland clinic (been there, done that, never went back!) Loved Dr. Jacobs, but even more, I loved that the staff had been with him and Dr. Block for nearly a decade if not more. Our PA said she had been there the least amount of time and it was about 5 years. It takes a lot for a medical staff to be so loyal to the doctors they work with, and everyone in that office was in a good mood and were working well together. My pain is gone, and honestly I hope to never see Dr. Jacob's again, because, you know, I don't know many people who like going to the doctor. The lovely woman who answered the phone was able so I could get an appt. was so nice. She was able to get me a same day appt. which was great. I filled out a clipboard full of paperwork and was then taken for an x-ray. Withing a few minutes, Dr. Vora entered the exam room. He is young and very professional as well as being so laid back and nice. He assured me that I was on the road to recovery and it may just take a little extra time for the fractured bone to heal. The office was bright and clean and the x-ray maching only took a few minutes and I was happy that I was able to get that done in office. When I returned to the room, the Dr examined my foot, and all was well until I left the office and realized someone went into my purse and took cash from my wallet. They replaced the smaller notes in a different direction than I had it previously in and hence the reason I know for a fact someone violated my privacy and belongings in a doctor's office. This happened on a Thursday, I sent an email as the office was closed and the manager out until Monday, received a call from the assistant that was the only person that knew my bag was in the room stating the manager informed her that I didn't go to the office with any cash and still has not called me to get any information to date. Totally unacceptable for an office with professionals that took an oath. A police report has been filed. I hope this did not happen to anyone else that visited this office.
