I asked a few questions and it's like asking a question to workers as if it's pulling teeth. IF all business interactions are just transactional there is no need for the workers. Workers are there to interact, guide, and happily answer any questions , and to just conversate iregardless of any transaction lest their job is worthless.

Ive been collecting for 40+ years. I know how to flip through books. I wasn't being rough with them. At the end ofvthe day, she can say whatever she wants to whomever she wants. Where i take issue, is the yelling across the store at me, and embarrassing me in front if other patrons, when at the root if it, I did nothing wrong. This was the worst service of any kind I've ever experienced. The staff there couldn't have been more rude and unprofessional to someone. I've been coming here for 15 years. Never again, and I don't recommend this place to anyone else.

It's really a gamers paradise and you can find here rare comic books, vintage games and toys that will delight both children and adults. The store is neatly organized, and very well lit - qualities conducive to a good treasure hunt.

They had a lot of comic books and everything looked to be well organized. There was a DC section and a Marvel section (Marvel FTW) and even a $1 comic section (cheap FTW). The staff here was super nice and friendly, and the vibe I got from this place was that this is the place to come and hangout with friends. There are tables near the back where they host game nights, as well as a small bar offering soft drinks and snacks. This is the kind of outfit that I would have wept tears of joy to find growing up in my small town. I'm so glad that these hobbies are more mainstream now and accessible to people through places like this. Friendly people work here who seem to know their stuff. What a fun job that would be. It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside, and very nice inside. It seems that it relocated from Wilmette about a year ago, and still has that new-store feel.

The bigger issues, though, is that nothing is clearly organized by series--or even publisher. There had clearly been some attempts to sort things out, but without any major success. It was frustrating to say the least. The owner was nice and happy to talk to you, and his interactions with other customers of varying sorts were very friendly as well. Sadly, there was a very offering radio station playing the whole time I was there detailing 9/11 conspiracies and whether or not Hunter Biden should be in jail. The owner said it was really just 'background noise,' but it sort of started to weird me out a bit. Regardless, i found a few books I wanted and decided to head out. At checkout, I paid with cash and wasn't charged any additional sales tax--which I always appreciate.

You can call and reserve it for a couple hours if you know what movie you want but you can't get there right away. They have a prepaid card deal where you get 11 movies for $25. It's a great bargain. I also like that they have in stock a pretty good selection of foreign and independent movies. It seems pretty small but if you are looking for an older or a somewhat unknown movie, you can just ask and they can check it in their system and there's usually a good chance they have it. They do keep older movie in a different location site, but if you call and ask (and they have it), they can have it ready to be picked up the next day. The owner is very nice. It's a great local shop that deserves our support and business!
