The cabins range from small (2 people) to large (12 people), and are scattered among the trees in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. Friendly Pines is just off the highway, but with the trees, you can't hear or see it. You cannot get much closer to Beaver's Bend State Park (without actually staying in the park). A short drive down a gravel trail, turn right and drive about 500 meters, then turn into the park and the marina and beach are right in front of you. Friendly Pines is also within a half-mile of Abendigo's (good food), Greatful Head (pizza and beer), and Girls Gone Wine (winery, obvioulsy), so there's plenty to do if you get cabin feaver.

The decor is lovely and cozy, they are clean, have everything you need to cook and serve food with, beds were comfy, and the patios are amazing. We set up our hammock and spent our days lounging in that, the hot tubs, and by the fires. I personally preferred the Journeys End cabin because of the outdoor fireplace, the claw foot bathtubs, and duel headed showers. Though I will say you can hear the highway from the Journeys End cabin, so if you want to feel more secluded The Trees is amazing.

Everything in the kitchen was soaked and there was a huge puddle of water in the walkway to kitchen. My kids both slipped and fell on the concrete because of it. I called and messaged several times with no response but the one time I did they said they contacted maintenance, which actually didn't happen. They sent someone at 6pm the night before we left. We had to deal with this, the ice maker not working, and a shower that wouldn't drain throughout our vacation and after them mentioning a discount, they ghosted us. I've reached out several times several ways and nothing. I honestly couldn't imagine treating a customer, or anyone this way. Thursday afternoon- arrive at cabin, discover leak from ceiling in kitchen. Suspect it's air conditioning unit because the leak was also coming from outside condensation drain. Immediately I contacted Hidden Hills office because no maintenance number was listed. She said she would contact maintenance and get back with us. Never heard back. Thursday night- I call and no answer. Immediately get a text saying maintenance was contacted and they were supposed to send HVAC over. *she also said you will definitely get a discount* but mind you, I've already paid for rental. Friday- wait around for someone to show up. So 3pm rolls around and I send a text stating nobody has shown up for the leak. At this point we also have discovered the ice maker doesn't work and the shower won't drain. No response at all. Saturday- I get a message from maintenance on Facebook because of my Facebook post about this experience and he says he never got any message about the maintenance issue. He apologized but also tried to say I didn't call the right number although there's no number for him listed anywhere expect the fridge which clearly states to only call him after hours and for emergencies. So anyway I let him know the situation and he tells me the lady went through another maintenance guy and he would follow up. Never followed up. I sent pictures to both maintenance and the lady I spoke with. No response from her, but he said he talked to HVAC tech and he would be here shortly. Nobody showed up, so I called the office again. She acted surprised and said she'd contact maintenance again. She texted back saying HVAC tech is supposed to be heading over there, let her know if he doesn't show. He didn't show up. Saturday night about 6pm someone showed up to fix the AC leak, told us he hadn't been called out to this until 10am this current day. I then texted the company back and said he had been over. THEY said we would "definitely" be given a discount. I kindly accepted and asked what kind of discount and they responded with she would look at our account the next day. Sunday- nothing, but it is Sunday on a holiday weekend so I waited until the evening to text back again to follow up. No response. Monday afternoon- I emailed the same message, no response. So they ghosted us after checkout. It just really sucks. We spent what little extra money we had to make this trip happen for our family this summer. Then to have this disruption and headache throughout the whole trip is so disappointing. The lack of concern and communication was the most disappointing though. Please just don't make the mistake of trusting them, because clearly they don't care.

This was however the WORST WEEKEND EVER! TWO NIGHTS, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT, we were awakened by a very loud party at your location - Laketime. My girlfriends and I were staying in a different cabin. Under age drinking and pot smoking were both going on. We called the Sheriff's office both Friday and Saturday nights and they were worthless! So here is the thing, the owner of the cabin we stayed at - a woman- came to our cabin at 2:00 in the morning saturday night to assist us, and whoever answered your phone, couldn't be bothered. COULDN'T BE BOTHERED. He said and I quote, "I HAVE 2 KIDS - CITY OF HOCHATOWN DOESN'T HAVE A SOUND ORDINANCE, WHAT CAN I DO?" I get it, we live in a different society, but I HAD TO SUGGEST HE CALL THE PEOPLE THAT RENTED THE CABIN - "OH YA, I CAN TRY AND FIND THEIR NUMBER". I doubt he did. I looked up your policies on your website and clearly states no parties. If you have a party - you will be asked to leave. I suggest you follow your policy in the future! I have worked in Customer Service for the past 20 years. Never in my life have I felt unheard, and unsupported. I am really disappointed in Creative Escapes and lack there of to show care and concern.

I responded and asked a question. No response. I then emailed a picture of the windowsill in the upstairs bedroom. I can't even begin to guess what the mysterious splatter was. No response. There are battery operated lights and a color changing lamp inside the tent. We were taken out tubing by gilda's daughter crystal on her boat. She owns a medium sized boat called a Sea-Doo. It's pretty fast. We had a blast. When we arrived back at the campsite, we started a fire and ate s'mores. We told ghost stories and went to bed. There is bathrooms with showers. Everything is very clean. You do need your own pillows and toiletries but the whole experience was awesome. I recommend Glampin with Gilda!!! 100% great time! We will be back soon. The price is epic! If your wanting to take a 2-3 day vacay, this is the place to stay. Gilda was super nice and helpful. I have told all my friends to go! My doctor advised not to travel and wrote a letter as well as completed all the forms required by the insurance company. Although the insurance company, associated with Beavers Bend Luxury Cabin Rentals (beaversbendcabins4rent.com) received every single form they requested, signed and advised by my surgeon, they found a frivolous "out" to not refund our money. We contacted Nikki-the owner with numerous phone calls, messages, and emails asking if we could rebook for a later time, even during off season.
