THEY AREN'T LICENSED OR INSURED (lets start there) I used this company one time and I am glad I learned from it. I moved from a 3rd floor apartment to a storage unit and it went well. I had to provide my own truck. the price was reasonable BUT they broke my entertainment system. I heard it break but they packed in the storage unit and i could not see it. they assured me it wasn't broken. come time to move out. I almost used them but found someone cheaper. They provided the truck and got it done without damage. However. The entertainment center was completely apartment as if I was using it for junk wood. It took the movers this go round to help me put it together. Its barely hanging on. I've since then reached out to the owner of this company with no phone call / email back. Great team! Kelvin and his team worked on Sunday for us. Not only Sunday, but Father's Day Sunday. They had a tough job, unloading a fully packed 10" UHaul and taking everything up to the 3rd floor, up 6 flights of stairs. No elevators and working outside in the heat. They valiantly tried to move a huge wall unit but dissassembled it instead of forcing it through the landings and ruining it. Great job. Kelvin and his crew of 3 men did an amazing job! They were able to disassemble all the furniture and wrap it and secure it in the moving van. All my pieces were assembled and everything arrived at my new house undamaged. All the crew worked nonstop from 8:15am to 6:30p moving me from the south side of Corpus Christi 45 min away to Sandia, Tx. They were also reasonable with the cost. We have moved homes eight times in 11 years, using a different moving company each time - some were big, some were small local movers. Kelvin and Awesome Movers were head and shoulders above the rest. They are the best! It was a long, 12 hour day in August heat. They worked hard. And Kelvin made sure the quality of the move didn't diminish as the day wore on. Every move before, something was broken and walls were dinged. On a couple of prior moves, there were disasters, like dropping large furniture down a stone stair way. With Kelvin, nothing went astray. I highly recommend them. read more

I spoke with Kelvin and scheduled them to move my daughter. He was very pleasant. When moving day came, they never showed up. I left 4 messages and sent two text messages and never heard from anyone. It's unfortunate because I will need movers twice a year while my daughter is at school - I would never give them another chance. It was quite discourteous and unprofessional to not acknowledge my messages and texts - in addition to not showing up. My parents were packed up in Colorado and I just need strong, careful and courteous men to unload their precious items in Rockport. Kelvin sent his crew to the rescue. Turned out the truck that came from Colorado was reloaded into an 18 wheeler that wouldn't fit in the neighborhood. So we had to unload down the street and into their big truck and then take it to the house. This crew was not discouraged they now had twice the work to do. All three were very professional with years of experience. I would recommend Awesome Movers to any and everyone! Thanks for helping make the move more manageable. Kelvin and team may have been great when starting out, but I think he has slacked off immensely. I did choose him because he was the only one who would come out to my house and actually see what needed moving. He was trying to charge me $1200 for a house that only had furniture and boxes to pack, nothing else, because I made sure everything else was out. I told him no about the $1200 and got him in line with the others in town at around the $900 mark. I just gave him the job because he actually came out to see. Another thing about the owner is that he comes on too strong and everything and drops names of what he thinks are important people in the community and brags about the wonderful work he has done for them. This was a big turn off. Well, he and I had an agreement that he would also get everything out my attic at the old house and bring it and put it up at the new house. Did that happen???? well....I had to pay another man I knew $100 to do that for me. I have never seen anything like this move. In years past, having moved from Kingsville to Corpus Christi, I lived in an 1800 sq ft house, and things were not even boxed up, and the movers had me boxed up, furniture moved and ready to go, and were over to Corpus Christi, and unloaded my things, and were finished by 3 pm and they did not start at the Kingsville house until 10 am. Awesome Moving started at 10 am, in my 1600 sq ft house, here in Corpus Christi, not but maybe 5 - 7 mi away from the new house, that had everything boxed up and only boxes and furniture for them to move, and it took them till 11pm before they left my new house. I tipped the movers, $50 each, and there were only 2 of them, and I gave a $300 used one time, but 3 yr old gas powered edger, to Kelvin, but if I had known they had not gotten the things out of my attic, I would not have given them anything. When I called Kelvin on that Saturday, which was two days after they moved me,after I realized that I had to call someone else to help me get the items from the old house attic and move them to the new house, I told him that I did not like the way he did business, and that I just had to pay a man $100 to get that stuff from old attic to new. He said well, I will come to your house when I get back in town and give you $100. I am still waiting for that, and it has been 2 mos already. He tried to tell me that the men that were working on my job were no longer working for him. Well, I wasn't just born yesterday, and he gave me all kinds of excuses about this and that. I found this move to be very expensive, very unorganized, and very dishonest. I would not recommend Awesome moving to anyone out there who wants a professional, above board, efficient, and honest job done for them. It is not worth it. Just save yourself the headache and big dent in your bank account, it just is not worth it. Hope I have helped and saved someone from avoiding the same mistake I made in hiring them. Go to 1/2 price movers that you know has a good reputation. They were only going to charge me the same, and I'll bet it would have been done much quicker and more efficiently. Awesome Moving does not even have their own moving trucks as far as I can see. They moved me in about 3 or 4 trips with a U Haul truck. read more
