Technician dealt with a couple of trips to Home Depot and capping off a leak due to an old handle cartridge that needed to be replaced. (No extra charge) Tub is from the 80's. Looks like new. The tub unit needed to sit for 24 hours prior to use. The fumes are strong as the unit is drying, but dissipate over a couple of days. We closed the door, left the fan on and put a towel under the door to keep the fumes from exiting into the house. Wonderful experience. Wonderful result. Definitely recommend without hesitation. It's as close as you can get to a true stone countertop look without paying the large price for an actual one. The guy who came out, Freddy, was incredibly diligent while paying huge attention to detail. He worked with care and was very efficient. He treated our house like his own while containing any mess caused from the job and leaving our home spotless after completion. Their communication was clear and responsive, and they were up front with the quote to get the work done which was very reasonable. I did an inexpensive remodel on an older bathroom in my home. I added a new vanity, new toilet, fresh paint, new mirror and new cabinet. It was bright and cheerful (minus the shower). My tenants did not like the upkeep necessary on cleaning the tub tile grout and asked for my help when the tub coating began to peel off. Replacement of the entire tub and installation of new fiberglass tub walls was $ 2,500 from a local plumbing company. This price did not even include any dry wall repair, if necessary. I highly recommend Freddy with Axa resurfacing. My tub had severe rust from water damage at the drain and overflow. I had multiple people come out and say the only option was a new tub. Trying to get someone to fix it took a long time and made it so the damage only kept getting worse. Freddy reviewed it, wasn't phased by the level of damage and reassured me he could fix it. He was a breeze to schedule with and showed up on time. I'd say it took from 8am until around 1-2pm for it to get completed. We did choose to leave the house due to me being pregnant and how strong the fumes were and felt comfortable leaving Freddy there alone. I should also say he did a great job at directing all fumes outside to lower the amount lingering in the house and by the next day the fumes were gone. Once completed, the tub I was once so embarrassed of looked like a brand new tub. It was amazing. I was reluctant to post photos due to hating how bad the old tub was but felt that was unfair to Freddy and wanted to show off his great work. After he completed my house we also scheduled him to resurface two tubs at my moms recently purchased house. Her house is just outside of the valley and he was willing to travel. He did both in one day and my mom loves them. Once again, we opted to not be at the property due to fumes and felt comfortable with this arrangement. Just had to provide Freddy with a way in. In regards to pricing I feel both times were great pricing. Especially given my house with the severe rust and the travel needed to my moms house.
