A previous owner had painted this shower (obviously) incorrectly. It finally had gotten past the point where it needed to be refinished. We received a few estimates, all in the same ballpark. I was referred to this company by a friend who had projects refinished by them and loved the work. They refinished all my bathroom countertops, all of the bathtubs, as well as kitchen cabinets and countertops. They were responsive and able to work with me on the schedule to set up the dates for different projects. The technician came to do the job with great manner and respectful of the property. He prepared the projects with great craftsmanship and work ethics. I was very pleased by the first item they finished and end up hiring them to do all the refinishing projects on the house. Scheduled weeks in advance, working around times I am in town. Bath & Kitchen confirmed the appointment multiple times - Arrival between 11:00 and 1:00 on Friday, Sept. 8 At 1:30, 30 minutes after the scheduled arrival time, Robby (customer interface) called and said that the technician (Jonathan) was on site and looking for the entrance. I sent someone down to the entrance to escort the technician in, who returned after checking every entrance, saying that no-one was there. Bath & Kitchen then called and said that the technician had contacted the owner, claiming a family emergency and wouldn't be there. So, I guess he wasn't looking for the entrance after all. Didn't make sense anyway, as the entrance is hard to miss. Giant water fountain and all. I then asked them to fit us into their schedule for the following Monday, our last opportunity before we left town. Robby said that they would check their schedule and get back to me, which they never did. This business obviously works around the whims of their (apparently) one and only technician. They also pick and choose their customers. For some reason, they rejected us. So, although I scheduled weeks in advance, and sat around waiting between 11:00 and 1:30, they didn't have the decency to prioritize us, or even communicate with us. Just a big "Ef you" to a customer. I have a theory - Jonathan had a late lunch on a Friday, and opted to start his weekend early. To Hell with inconveniencing the customers. Neither Jonathan, the owner, or Robby did anything to alleviate the problem. No one picked up the ball. The ball was dropped hard, and is still lying there on the ground. Sad, sad excuse for a business. I chose them based on their Yelp rating, which is very misleading. Pitiful performance and a huge waste of time. Unreliable business. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Bath and Kitchen Refinishing Solutions. Matt is an excellent communicator and very customer oriented. Jonathan was my tech and he did a fabulous job. Could not be happier. FYI, one of our biggest concerns was the smell during and after the refinishing process. An evac fan was used to keep smell to a minimum during the process and towels under the bathroom doors with the vent fan going took care of any odors afterwards. 18 hours later, I opened the bathroom door and no discernible odor. I found Bath & Kitchen on yelp and at first was a little hesitate due to there not being alot of reviews. After speaking with Matt I proceeded with having him refinish two old vanity tops in both my bathrooms. Glad I did because the end product looks great. 1) the pricing was very reasonable. I didn't want to remove the vanities and deal with a mess of drywall behind, so I decided to just refinish and with his great pricing it was worth it. 2) a one-man crew came the morning as scheduled and on-time. He taped everything off and began the process of sanding and spraying. 3) You must wait 48 hours before using the sink again. Just a heads up, the smell is very strong, so make sure you have alot of fans going or you have it done on a day where you can open the windows and get some airflow. The smell lasted like 24 hours or so then was gone. All in all it was a great way to updated my outdated vanities at a fraction of the price of replacing with brand new ones. read more

Sergio arrived during the stated time frame. He reviewed everything that he would be doing to refinish the 1950 cast iron bathtub. He carefully taped and papered off the area surrounding the tub. He just finished 2 hours ago, but the tub looks like brand new! The communication with Matt (the owner) was done completely through Yelp.
