Came here for the third time after a disappointing second time I was really hoping they were going to redeem themselves which they did! We did the vampire escape room! We loved it! The team was great! All three members but I can't remember all of their names except Ricky who really took his time to explain everything and show us the axing as well. A little disappointed in the fact that one of my friends couldn't make it and they do not offer refunds. They did offer to rebook us and use that as a credit but after doing all three rooms and throwing axes all three times I'm not sure how soon I'll be back. We love this place! I've been twice now and it's so fun. They have regular boards and then board with ipads for digital games. Both are fun! Highly recommend for family visiting. They have beer and soda and snacks. Games to play in the lobby area as well. Lots of seating. And even some escape rooms as well! Parking is tricky downtown but thats the only downside. read more

It's ok- we have done a lot of escape room- well in California . Some with cleaver clue systems and nice hints. Since it said this was Miami's best we thought hey let's try it. The vampire one Puzzles need to make more a sound because we didn't hear anything happen and kept trying them after we solved it . Staff was too small and lucky it was not too busy they take a while to give a hint. Some puzzles even when told how (ball one) won't work even when done right. We came for a friend's surprise birthday. She was really excited as she had done it before and in the same place. Check in was simple, they just have you sign a waiver and if you don't have closed toe shoes, they offer some shoes to borrow as well as socks. Our trainer, Manny, was super chill and helpful in teaching you how to throw the axe. He walks you through the whole process and leaves until he sees you are comfortable enough to do it on your own. I've visited Axe Habit for a family night activity. The staff was friendly. We received a lesson on how to properly handle and throw the axe. It was challenging and definetly a skill to practice but once you nail the bulls eye it's so rewarding. My party had a child and they were accommodating. We arrived 30 minutes late for our 90 minute reservation and they were very attentive. I am comparing this to another axe throwing I've been to and honestly this feels like it wasn't as fun. They show you how to throw and leave you on your own afterwards. Although they have a Max of 6 people per lane I called and they were able to accommodate us. We were a group of 8 (one spectator) and honestly an hour was enough since we were on our own. We tried to make it into a game but it would've been better to have a designated axe coach. We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday with our friends and had a blast competing against one another in rounds. We came here on a Sunday for family fun with our two kids. This place is pretty cool.. the reason for my 4 stars was the lecture we received by one of the associates. I asked him if the teaching was part of our 60 minutes and he said " unfortunately your reservation was for 1:00 and you all showed up at 1:02". Ummm! Ok sir for two minutes?? Really?? The flight of stairs alone.. fine okay whatever... so he took 20 minutes of our time to emphasize the importance of the mask as if we weren't wearing our mask... ok fine moving on... at first we were the only family there and a few moment later another family showed up... their instructional session didn't take as long as ours nor did the get the lecture of wearing a mask... my family and I want to be safe no matter what so we ALWAYS WEAR OUR MASK, so for this associate to stress this was weird.. Overall, my family and I had a good time, however, I do not like how this associate welcomed us.. he kept threatening to put anyone out if we didn't abide by the rules.. this is before we even started playing ... and upon arrival... perhaps he was having a bad day, however you do not welcome your guest like this whether you are a "hospitality" venue or not ( he also told us his facility wasn't a hospitality venue) We came and we experienced, however, we probably won't be back to this location considering the experience we had.. We had a hard time finding this location, there's a bit of construction going on around it, there were homeless people sitting right on the entrance and the place is on the second floor. They should probably get a better sign. We went for my bf's birthday. We had previously made reservations which was seamless on the website. Once we arrived, we got checked it and went straight to our bay, the staff is super chill and friendly. This place was so unexpected, and so much fun! I did not know where this was or even that this spot existed. They're located in the heart of Downtown Miami, a short walk from Bayside Marketplace for reference. Right when you arrive they have a bar, and a seating area with some table games which we played while waiting for the rest of our group to arrive. They did an amazing job of explaining safety procedures and rules to us, and I definitely think it was worth the money. If you have never thrown axes, Chinese ninja stars, rebar knives or stainless shanks- this is the place for you. There are several ranges to choose from and electronic game if your feeling competitive. Plenary of space for bigger parties or corporate events. So we were looking to do some type of date night and we didn't want the typical same things we do. So I set to Google and found Axe Habits. It is a little hard to find because it's hidden in a building and it kind of looks abandoned. You go up the stairs and it's lively. We go check in and the guy wasn't so welcoming but oh well. We gave our ids and credit card to start a tap to the bar. The bar only had different beers. It blows my mind that you can drink and throw an axe. So he brings us four to our cage and teaches us how to use the game software and throw the axe properly. A huge rule is you can't have more then two people in the cage ever. It is a safety issue because of the axe throwing, you never know where it goes. Axe throwing is actually pretty hard. You have to gain momentum and throw it with two hands. Mine stuck to the wall a few times and aiming was impossible. I thought it was a cool time to spend an hour trying something new. read more

Had an awesome time at Extreme Axe Throwing!!!! Situated in downtown Miami, you head up a steep flight of stairs and right into the axe throwing!!! There's a small bar in the entrance area with a good selection of beers and drinks and they also sell some merchandise and have an outdoor balcony area. Once you've signed your waivers and what not, you'll be taken straight to your axe throwing lane/area!! An instructor will go over the basics and stick with you for the first few minutes, giving guidance. The group I was with had paid for 90 minutes and that was more than enough. For first timers it will take a good 20-30 minutes to get the hang of it but after that you'll be releasing that anxiety/anger and throwing away!!! The pricing is t too expensive and the staff make you feel welcome. An awesome new option in Miami for something different!! I will definitely be back!!! read more

What a fun and unique GOT type of experience right set in downtown Miami. Don't be fooled not as easy as it looks but everyone gets to be an axepert at the end of it! Price is $35 per person after taxes $37 and can use facilities for 1.5 hours. There's several lines and some where it actually keeps your score! Amber greeted us and provided instructions to become axeperts! She was awesome, super personal and friendly. She even always offered to take videos and pictures of our group. The staff were all very helpful and would assist you if they saw you struggling getting that axe stabbed. We can right after working hours midweek so had almost the place to ourselves until a large group gathering showed up. I believe there is even ladies night half of axeing, Facility is great for groups, parties or even just couples to get all that pent up aggression out! There's a small type of bar area that sells non alcoholic drinks and snacks/food but best part it was BYOB and they even had a cork screw for us to use. There's also an outside chill area if you live in the 90s and need a smoke, or just want some fresh air. 5/5 Miami finally has an axe throwing place-- and to top it all off it's under nice, friendly management. I came here on a Friday evening with my boyfriend and we were surprised to be the only ones here because it's such a good place to chill and try something new. (Def would recommend it for a date night, night out with friends, or company bonding time). $35 per person gets you 1 1/2 hours on a lane, and trust me 1 1/2 hours is more than enough to test your upper arm strength and hand-eye coordination. Also, the axes are built for safety-- so you won't have to deal with cutting yourself on a sharp blade. Quincy and Amber are great instructors and made axe throwing. I had a little trouble getting the hang of throwing axes, but both instructors were very patient and helpful. Since we were the only ones there, we were able to try both the traditional and interactive axe throwing lanes-- both of which are plenty of fun. While Extreme Axe is relatively new-- they're currently in the process of opening up their escape room, and getting a full bar, I have no doubt they're going to succeed with their nice hospitality.
