Dr. Patel is a great doctor. He is a miracle. My spinal was little misaligned, neck stiff and have flat feet. He recommended I get the foot sole called Foot Levelers to improve the arch in my feet. It measures how your feet are and than after few weeks, you get the foot levelers sole for your feet and wear them as instructed. It works well, though the improvement will take weeks, I can feel the difference. I don't have pain anymore. He also instructed me which stretches to do so there is less stiffness in my lower back and neck. Thank You for all you do. You are the BEST!!! Excellent chiropractor and staff while I got treatment there but once I bought the pettibon system there was zero support. I've called more than 7 times only to be promised a call back and have not received one yet. Do not buy the pettibon system they encourage you to buy because it's not very simple to use and you would have wasted your hard earned money. Dr Patel is a great Chiropractor, however parking is terrible and you can expect him to be running 45 minutes behind schedule, every time. I used to go to him a few times a year, but becuase he is a one man show (he used to have two other Chiropractors working there), if you have a job or other obligations, unless you are the first person he sees in the morning, expect to be at his office for an hour and a half. Also, very hard to get an appointment, some times as long as a week, unless someone cancels and you can come in at the last minute. read more

I so wanted to believe that chiropractors aren't a SCAM but they really ARE and the staff at good ol' Axiom Health helped me realize that. I went in the first two times and got adjustments done to my neck which is what my insurance covers. Nothing less and nothing more which is what I'm fine with. The third time I went in, they put some stimulating device on me and then did an adjustment. When I was done, I went to pay and the gentleman who I've been dealing with, Edward, said I owed my copay so I gave him my card and declined a receipt since I didn't think he was going to overcharge me. Had he given me a receipt, I would've disputed this with him then and there but again, no discussion of an extra charge. I get home and see there's an additional $40 charged to my card. I tried calling Edward to ask why and he responds with, "well you signed a consent that says you're responsible for paying the extra fee if additional treatments are done." I understand the consent that I signed but Dr. Patel NEVER INFORMED ME that this stimulating device was going to be AN ADDITIONAL COST. I would've opted out had I been informed. I tried to reason with Edward and let him know that I didn't think this was right because I wasn't informed and they DID NOT GET MY CONSENT to do an additional service. He honestly didn't care and just kept saying I signed a consent. Just because I signed a consent doesn't mean YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH ME AND CHARGE ME WITHOUT LETTING ME KNOW. That's just NOT RIGHT. Dentists just don't start fixing and doing whatever they want with your teeth and bill you for it after. Normal, moral health care specialists will inform you before they proceed with any action that's going to cost you additional money. I'm so so disappointed in how this situation was handled and how Dr. Patel and Edward conduct business. I really thought they weren't a SCAM but they just proved that they were. I've never been to a chiropractor before and I really hope my next experience is a pleasant one. I would advise anyone who has a brain to not go here because you'll be skeptical the moment you walk in. It just seems shady and it turns out, it is. I am a long time user of Rudy Patel's chiropractic services for lower back pains, and neck pain. What I LOVE about Axiom is that the practice is always evolving, as Rudy studies new methods to improve patient health. Beyond traditional chiro services, he offers Healy device healing. I recently had a heart transplant, which left me with significant peripheral neuropathy in my right leg. Through the use of the Healy device, my neuropathy pain has improved, and my walking/sleeping is much more comfortable. In addition, the provide Reiki services by an expert technician. I came here after listening to a podcast about how chiropractic relates to our psychological, physiological, emotional problems. shout out to the Rob Bell podcast :) The second I came in, I was greeted by friendly faces and Ed was full of peace. I was hurting because apparently my spine is somewhat crooked :O I know this because I got an x-ray. I have never gotten a spinal x-ray with other chiropractors so this was a first. Dr. Patel and I were having a conversation about the podcast I listened to and I could tell that he was really excited about chiropractic. SCAM When I went there first time to talk about my health and how his treatment would work. Dr Patel mentioned that he would spend his treatment for 30mins. But when I went there, he had treatment for me for 3-5 mins in the room. And then he said that he would come back to the room in a bit. He was gone for about 20mins. During that 20 mins, he went to another room, and was taking care of another patient. I heard that from sound. When he came back to the room in 20 mins where I was in, he says, todays treatment is over. I was like 'what the hell' Basically, I was 3-5mins of treatment of neck massage + 20 mins of just layingdown in the bed, waiting. ** I told the staff that it's not a fair treatment. The staff at axiom said that since it was my first time of visit, the Dr Patel spent little time on it. It just doesn't make sense. Worst chiropractor ever. read more

I have been going to Dr. Rudy Patel since 2007 and can't be more happy. Ok so other reviewers don't like the looks of the office, but honestly the treatments far outweigh the aesthetic. I've been to other chiropractors in LA who had nicer offices but were not as good and as flexible as Dr. Patel. I have a strenuous job where I sit all day looking at monitors and maintenance is really important for me. Dr. Patel has kept me in good spinal health for almost 6 years. Other positives: they are open Saturdays! I spend about 2 1/2 hours there every Saturday doing acupuncture with Art Hill, LAc and Massage with Erin Harting - who is THE best. There is also a Pilates gym in the front of the office. It is separate for Dr. Patel. Also, I don't know how seriously I would consider a review from someone who just interviewed for a receptionist job there (and obviously didn't get it)... That doesn't have anything to do with how Dr. Patel treats his patients. As a regular I see a lot of returning patients so people come and they stay. We've been seeing Dr. Patel since 2013. We were recommended by my sister in law and we continue going to this day. It started with my husband after he got hurt in an accident. I went in for an alignment and immediately felt a release that I can't even describe. I came in stiff and left limber, it was the best experience. The doctor is very friendly and polite and explains thoroughly what he's doing. Recently my son started complaining of growing pains, we brought him in and Dr. Patel's magical hands were just the relief he needed. We brought in our 13 year old daughter who unbeknownst to us was in dire need of an alignment because of all the school stressors and lack of proper posture (kids, am I right?) along with other teenage issues. My review is long overdue. I stumbled upon this group when I lived in LA and I miss them already. I have chronic neck and shoulder issues from working at a computer and bowling. I need to go regularly to stay pain free. Dr. Patel is awesome. He knows his stuff and explains what's going on in your body. I always feel good when I leave. Leesa - she is one of a kind! She utilizes a number of different massage techniques including rolfing. I may be cursing during the session but I feel great after. What is great is that Dr. Patel will communicate with Leesa and vice-versa to help you with your issue. And then you have Ed who manages the front desk and who's the coolest and most welcoming guy. I would sit and chat with that guy and be late for work. Its a great place all around. I'm now in New York and I doubt I will find a group like this. I have been coming to Doctor Patel for the past few months. I have to say that I actually really like him. He seems to really care about his patients, every time I go see him (I fell off my bike and injured my arms pretty intensely) he remembers what condition I was like the last time he saw me. I am so glad that I was able to find this doctor in my insurance network. I have to say that Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable and compassionate about his patients. He actually talked to me about my history to get a feel of why I am where I am now. He explained exactly what he will be doing to help combat the pain in my shoulder. I started going to Axiom Health about ten years ago. I had started to golf seriously and began exercising and running intensely. I didn't have proper training and soon began hurting myself so I went to Axiom health. After treatment I am back to good condition again. Every few months I go back for a tune-up. It has taken me a while to get to where I feel like I can write a review of this business because my experience there was so distressing and unpleasant that it is quite a task for me to try to sum up all my feelings about my visit there. A little over a month ago I had to brake suddenly while driving and gave myself whiplash. While I only felt slightly sore initially, by the next morning I was experiencing intense pain and discomfort. Instead of driving out to Kaiser and waiting for what might not be immediate relief, I decided to use their service referral website to find a local chiropractor in my area who might be able to do something to make me feel better sooner. Apparently Kaiser's referral system does not screen those who apply to take part in their program because when I showed up for my appointment with Dr. Rudy Patel I walked into what looked more like a cut-rate travel agency than a doctor's office. Initially Dr. Patel was fairly helpful and professional, having me fill out some paperwork pertaining to my insurance plan. However, when he tried to input my insurance information into his computer he had difficulties getting Kaiser to register that he was going to be reimbursed through them for his services. After about 20 minutes of trying to get his computer to work, or the website to work, or a combination of these things, he finally took me into a room to begin treatment. The room was a bad sign: barren and with pieces of equipment propped against the wall along the floor. The table he put me on looked like a used masseuse table. Instead of the normal kinds of paper they cover doctor's tables with, Dr. Patel used a bath towel. We talked for a bit and then he got out some equipment for the therapy. He attached electrodes to my shoulders (something I'm familiar with from older sports injuries) and a heavy towel onto my shoulders for heat and pressure. Finally, some relief! I was almost starting to relax when I heard Dr. Patel get on the phone with a Kaiser representative and proceed to argue over the cost of my visit for no less than half an hour. Half an hour! The timer on the therapy machine had turned itself off ten minutes before Dr. Patel returned to check on me. Until then I was only able to stare at the white walls in front of me and wait for him to finish his "business". The worst part of my experience was the x-ray room. I don't know when I was last so scared by a doctor's office that I felt like crying. When I walked into Dr. Patel's storage closet that appears to double as an x-ray room I lost all confidence in him. Amidst paint cans and cardboard boxes I was expected to relax and feel comfortable being exposed to radiation? How was I supposed to know if his machine was even working correctly and not exposing me to more harmful rays than I needed to be? I'm not sure why I stuck around, but I was in a lot of pain so that must have been enough to keep me there. I couldn't get out of that place fast enough. The whole way home I was sobbing. My next move was to immediately go to the Kaiser ER (which I should have done in the first place). Not only did Dr. Patel fail at relieving my pain but I think he probably made it slightly worse! The doctor at the ER later told me that (in his opinion) any chiropractor worth his salt would never have worked on somebody with whiplash without really examining them first, especially if they'd never seen them before. I don't know how true that is, but based on what the doctor told me I am confident that Dr. Patel had no idea what he was doing. This is a long review, so here's the important thing to take away from this: do not go to this chiropractor. He is neither professional nor effective. read more

I've been in multiple rear-end collisions and have had several sports related injuries. I also sit at a computer all day which is a killer on my back. I got really tired of going to my GP and being prescribed pain killers so I started looking into chiropractic care to hopefully find a cure for my periodic back pain. Every chiropractor I saw wanted to put me on a treatment plan and had me coming in for treatments several times a week. Each time they had an assistant put a heat pad on me and gave me a general adjustment and sent me on my way. After several weeks and not seeing much improvement I stopped going. After a particularly bad sports injury, about two years ago, I was referred to Dr. Patel. 30 minutes with this guy and I immediately felt a lot better. I had never had that experience before. He seemed to know exactly what the issue was and was able to zero in on the source of my pain. I was still skeptical due to my past experiences so I notched it up to being a lucky break. Since then, I have seen Dr. Patel on several occasions and the results have always been nothing short of amazing. I will admit that I am not the ideal patient. I don't have the time or patience to keep going for several treatments to finally start feeling better, I'm always looking for a quick fix. I have never been more impressed with a doctor as I have been with Patel. He seems to always know exactly how to treat an issue and is extremely thorough and professional. I have since recommended him to several of my colleagues (who all work on computers all day) and they all have had very positive experiences with Dr. Patel. read more

I have a problem with my left shoulder. I've gone to two chiropractors in the past. For both of them, they messed around with other parts of my back and my shoulders, but never quite addressing my left shoulder issue. Suffice it to say that after several visits, I have not seen results with the other two. However, with Doctor Patel, I noticed a marked improvement within the first week. The pain is still there, but I am feeling the improvements. Essentially, he really listened to my problem and addressed/continuing to address that problem. Additionally, Doctor Patel was able to accommodate my schedule. Due simply to the nature of my business, I have a hard time getting out during regular business hours. So whenever I make an appointment with Doctor Patel, it's usually at 6:30, sometimes closer to 7. Each time, he's been very accommodating.
