It was so close to a metro stop, it was right on main street, no noise from the neighbours, no noise from the street, the rent was amazingly affordable. I lived there for just under two years and only moved because I had to leave the country. Everyone I had the pleasure to work with where amazing and kind people. They where always responsive, they where always clear with information, they where always extremely helpful. If anything was happening in the building they always took the time to explain exactly what was happening. It was everything I needed when I needed it and there's not much more I could've asked from it.

I was there for 2 years before I decided to move out because I was only going to be doing 2 years of studying at Concordia University before I graduated. The place was perfect as it was in the heart of downtown Montreal and it was super close to school, so it was no hardship getting to class and going home for breaks and whatnot. I wouldn't say that the place felt like a "home" since I was more or less at school for the better part of those 2 years (or traveling) but it certainly was a useful place to live in. I'm not sure why these past reviews are illustrating the landlords to be horrible people because they are really kind and super understanding! Obviously if you don't pay your rent on time each month you'll be on bad terms with them, but that's not their fault. In my case, because I was always on time with my rent, the few times I did ask for extensions they were given to me. They were always responsive to any questions and concerns that I had and were rather understanding. (My apartment did eventually gain a toilet problem and maintenance did come to check it out, but couldn't figure out the problem and so now the toilet is slightly disruptive, but there's no one to blame for that.) Would totally recommend dealing with them! :)

At this point, TRAMS MANAGEMENT who is supposed to be maintaining the building, Just wants to blame the tenant for the defective construction. They don't own the units, they just manage the building and guess what ? They just want your $$$ and refuse to do their job (maintenance). The building manager shows up only to collect rents and disappears for the rest of the month. A quick examination of TRAMS MGMT revealed unethical business practices against a lot of other tenants ( the owner has a history of several badly reputable property management companies). Malgré le caractère urgent de la situation, les interventions ont été lentes, désorganisées et incomplètes. À ce jour, certains éléments ne sont toujours pas réparés. Le manque de communication est tout simplement inacceptable : appels ignorés, absence de suivi, promesses non respectées. Des rendez-vous ont été fixés à plusieurs reprises, sans que personne ne se présente, sans même prévenir. En parallèle, je paie pour une place de stationnement qui est régulièrement occupée par d'autres, sans aucune action de leur part malgré plusieurs signalements. Aucune prise en charge sérieuse après un sinistre, aucun accompagnement, et un sentiment d'abandon total face à une situation pourtant majeure. Une demande a dû être déposée au Tribunal administratif du logement. Je déconseille fortement.

Go check out their TAL record - they have a LONG history of being generally terrible at managing properties. When my own landlord began using them, they were supposed to rent out two apartments for him. Multiple times, they booked several back to back appointments, and I had random people knocking on my own door because their representatives never showed up. However, my landlord said that the company assured him they were showing the place. They illegally required one neighbor to use post dated checks. They attempted to bully me into this (my first landlord sold, a second one took over and hired these jokes) by REPEATEDLY telling me I was several months behind on my rent, even though I was never a day late but simply paying the way my lease was written. My upstairs neighbor was harassing me so much the police were called and they even had social services intervene. He got so angry that I had asked him to stop doing HIIT in the late evening that he stomped hard enough to crack the ceiling, came into my kitchen yelling at me, and was generally awful and made my child afraid. Yet YONAH could not handle him and repeatedly demanded that I get on a multi way call with my harasser so that we could "work it out." I ended up leaving and suing the landlord. Yonah called my lawyer and told him I'm crazy because he's a gross sexist (who would look me up and down when he randomly showed up to demand entry and I would be in a sundress) who obviously does not like strong women who advocate for themselves. Another neighbor was told by the landlord that she could move out - in writing - but Yonah began refusing to let her leave, bullying and harassing her. She asked me to help translate for her because HE REFUSED to speak French to her. He didn't know yet that I was the neighbor and said terrible, abusive things to her and me. I called the landlord and told him immediately (this was at the very beginning) and when the landlord told Yonah that I was the other tenant he had just berated, he apologized up and down, saying he didn't know I was the other tenant. Sure, bud. You got all those bad reviews because the TENANTS are crazy. Yeah. So if you're a LANDLORD looking to pay a 10% fee to eventually get sued by your tenant, Yonah is your man! And if you're a tenant, especially a woman, and you want to be abused and harassed and regulations never followed, move in! It's bound to be an incredible experience for all.
