I lived on the second floor in one of their apartments on Rue St. Marc. It was an amazing place to live. It was so close to a metro stop, it was right on main street, no noise from the neighbours, no noise from the street, the rent was amazingly affordable. I lived there for just under two years and only moved because I had to leave the country. Everyone I had the pleasure to work with where amazing and kind people. They where always responsive, they where always clear with information, they where always extremely helpful. If anything was happening in the building they always took the time to explain exactly what was happening. I lived in the basement level in one of their apartments on Rue St. Marc, and I must say it was a cozy and practical place to be living in! I was there for 2 years before I decided to move out because I was only going to be doing 2 years of studying at Concordia University before I graduated. The place was perfect as it was in the heart of downtown Montreal and it was super close to school, so it was no hardship getting to class and going home for breaks and whatnot. I wouldn't say that the place felt like a "home" since I was more or less at school for the better part of those 2 years (or traveling) but it certainly was a useful place to live in. I'm not sure why these past reviews are illustrating the landlords to be horrible people because they are really kind and super understanding! Obviously if you don't pay your rent on time each month you'll be on bad terms with them, but that's not their fault. In my case, because I was always on time with my rent, the few times I did ask for extensions they were given to me. They were always responsive to any questions and concerns that I had and were rather understanding. (My apartment did eventually gain a toilet problem and maintenance did come to check it out, but couldn't figure out the problem and so now the toilet is slightly disruptive, but there's no one to blame for that.) I spent the last two years living in one of their second floor apartments on Rue Saint Marc while I completed graduate school, and have come away with a very positive opinion of Triada Corporation. The apartment was affordable, a good size for a student and perfectly situated for those wanting to live downtown. I never encountered any issues with the place (i.e. appliances, lights, bathroom fixtures, etc. all worked well) and the few times I called to request help on a small matter, they responded in a timely and very friendly manner. Additionally, I often saw the entryway and stairs being cleaned, as well as the steps being shovelled and salted in the winter. Finally, the individuals working at Triada Corporation are respectful and professional, making renting as stress-free as possible. As long as you are a good renter (i.e. paying your rent), I can't imagine them being anything but nice in return. When I dropped off my rent or stopped in to ask questions, I always appreciated being greeted with a smile and kind demeanor. I would highly recommend renting through them! read more

I lived in an apartment in Rue St Marc for two years. Never really had any issues with the place or the staff, both the staff on site and at the office are kind and quick to answer questions or concerns. The apartment was great, they do run a bit hot during the summer (which is easily fixed for those who aren't as much of procrastinators as I am and are willing to install an AC unit). The two times I had an issue with the apartment in the two years being there, the staff on site literally came up to take a look and helped out within 30 minutes of me asking, despite the office saying it could take up to 48 hours. As an international student only in Montreal to study, I must say, living downtown was my main goal, and Triada was a great asset to Downtown living. During my first month as a tenant I actually only spent 2 weeks in the city due to travels, during this time there was an issue with the bathroom on the upstairs unit, and Triada tracked me down to communicate this and ask if it was ok that they went into my apartment while I wasn't there to check if any damage had been done to my unit and promptly fix it. While I will say that in the beginning,​ I was a little taken aback by other reviews, my experience has been truly great! read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE, they are the worst, apartments are old and dirty, hallway smells, they don't take care of them AT ALL. The people that worked there are not very nice and I don't think they like their jobs. Crackhead squats near the building, all around bad experience. read more

Well....I had to call them last week to request a letter stating I had been a tenant there for another apartment application. I gave my name to the lady who answered and when I asked her if she needed the address, she yelled at me 'No need, I know who you are. I will give you a letter when you take down that dis-honest review' I started hanging up the phone in shock about that time but did hear her saying something about they would or would not be charging me for letter (provided I take down my review). These are the absolute worst slumlords in Montreal. There's no way to tell my horrid tale without giving up my identity, but living in one of their properties was the worst nightmare of my life, I had to get every imaginable level of authority involved including the police who I'd have to call at least 2-3 times per week. These people don't know what they are doing, they don't care about their tenants commercial/residential alike, they do not write you receipts that would hold up in court and almost every tenant I know secretly tries to film them when they fill them out. Never sign any contract or lease with them and if you are stuck with them currently go to HOJO, Concordia's Housing and Job resource center that is open to EVERYONE EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT A STUDENT. Seriously, if you are currently stuck with these horrible people, my heart goes out to you, do not be afraid to seek out help, and do not feel alone in your fight. They are WELL KNOWN amongst tenants rights groups, if you are being victimized, THERE IS HELP OUT THERE, and that help is bilingual. read more

I am closely approaching moving day and just wanted to share my fantastic experience with this company. I have lived in a cute split level apartment on DeMaisonneuve for the last year, owned by this company. The head office's services have been so great. Incredibly nice people and great at working through all the processes and organizing any maintenance I needed. I once had a breaker go off and couldn't find the panel in the building and one of their reps was on the phone with me in minutes with the building plan and walked me through it. Regular cleaning of the common areas, snow was removed quickly in the winter. Just have nothing bad to say about these people. Even in tight times I called them let them know I would be a few days late and they worked with me and were very understanding. Super close to all the universities, some of the best restaurants in town, shopping, subway system and buses. Its really been fantastic and I will miss living in the heart of this great city with a my own little corner of it to call home right downtown. read more

They sound like crooks. They said that if you make an application for an apt you have to give your rent deposit along with it even though they have not yet accepted your tenancy. And the manager there, Yael Perez, said that they will not give it back if you lie on your application or you need a co signer. This is illegal. They are not allowed to take deposits and withhold them for those reasons, especially in Quebec, which is where they are located. I would never rent from them. read more

My boyfriend and I lived in one of their Saint Marc apartments for 7 years, and we never had any real issues with the space, nor with the staff themselves - which is why we stuck around as long as we did... :-) Our place remained clean, and safe from intrusion, disruption or hazard, and therefore felt like home. We never had a single problem with sanitation (bugs, vermin, mold or the like), rowdy neighbours, or faulty equipment. We did on occasion have to call maintenance for one thing or another, but they were always quick to respond, and even remained accessible to us during all hours of the night by phone. Their office is just a 3-minute walk's distance from their furthest location, and their receptionists and administrators were always keen and helpful. Old buildings are charming, but do of course come with their own unique quirks and shortcomings, but like everything, require maintenance and good management. Triada met those standards for us, and remained accessible, efficient and accommodating the whole way through. Before moving, we first went to their offices to inquire if they had any available flats that met our changing needs, because we desired to keep doing our dealings with them before anyone else. read more

Triada owns many apartments. I lived on rue Saint Marc. The good things: location is close to downtown and I had very few problems with bugs. The bad things: EVERYTHING is in disrepair. The stove is lucky to work two nights a week, the fridge shuts off sometimes and all your food goes bad, the doorknobs break off and you're stuck until you can find a screwdriver to stick in the latch, the overhead lights start smoking, the power/water won't come on, our mailbox never locked, the front entry rarely locked. Don't expect maintenance to get to it within the week. Also, the neighbourhood is very rowdy. Three times over a summer drunk college kids climbed up to our 3rd floor fire escape and tried to come in through the window in the middle of the night. Once a drunk man passed out against our front door (inside a supposedly-locked building, mind you) and then pooped all over the stairs as a parting gift. When we called Triada, this was not considered an emergency and they cleaned up the poop twelve hours later. That's a very smelly hallway. So good luck with Triada - they'll tell you not to email them for maintenance requests, but get EVERYTHING in writing for your own protection. I moved out before my lease was up.
