We began working with Stonescape Steel Roofing 08/29/2025 to have the siding on our home replaced…read moreafter it was damaged in a storm. Initially working with the company was good. Our contractor would respond and communication seemed decent. Ultimately large promises were made with little follow through. At the beginning of this process we were told they would cover the exposed portion of our home to prevent further damage. That just got done 02/09/2026 and they did not even cover all the exposed parts (I have photos). We were told multiple times weekly that they were waiting on approval from our insurance and it should be, "any day". We accepted this knowing sometimes insurance claims cause delays. We would ask for updates and it was always our insurance's fault. In December we went 4 weeks without any communication from Stonescape Steel Roofing. Later we found out our primary contractor was hurt on the job and no one else at the company bothered to communicate with us or take over our project. It took me calling and talking to the General Manager Sean to get an answer. The correction, the company had our initial contractor come back early from medical leave and communicate with us. I have a security video of this contractor in a medical brace at my home completing measurements. Another few weeks being told, "any day" and that the delay was our insurance. Fast forward to 02/05/2026 my husband and I both reached out to the company. I again spoke with Sean who provided multiple excuses as to why everything had taken so long. We were told again the delay was our insurance. My husband and I were told not to speak to our insurance because, "They wouldn't want to talk to us and would only want to talk to the contractor." We called our insurance finding out Stonescape Steel Roofing had only spoken to our insurance 4 times since 08/2025 and just sent the estimation approval request 02/04/2026. The entire time we had been lied to and our insurance was blamed for the lack of Stonescape Steel Roofing. I again spoke with Sean who stated the company "dropped the ball", "he didn't know what happened but it was clear people were not doing their jobs", and promised things would be better. We finally after 6 months get a full insurance approval. 02/18/2026 we had scheduled for someone from Stonescape Steel Roofing to come to our home, bring samples, and get progress progressing. I communicated 8 times leading up to 02/18/2026 to determine who was coming to our home and get a phone number. 8 times I was told they were working on it and would have the information to me shortly. No one showed. I tried to call my contractor and the phone number was no longer in service. There was no communication. When I called because no one showed up I was informed the contractor on our project had quit DAYS prior and they would work on reassigning my project. Again Stonescape Steel Roofing dropped the ball. Working with this company has been nothing but a headache. Lies, poor communication, and lack of accountability. The best part is 90% of our communication with them was done through text so I have a paper trail. I HIGHLY recommend you take your business literally anywhere else if you want the work done. Working with Stonescape Steel Roofing wasted time and energy. We are 6 months later and still have a damaged home. It was clearly demonstrated time and time again that they did not care about the work they were doing or their clients.

They were quick to return my calls and very responsive. It was a fairly involved project as the beams in the original pergola went under the roof and attached to the house joists. They were very knowledgeable and have had a wide variety of experience, so this presented no problem for them and they were also able to reshingle the roofing that had to be removed for the project. They also gave me good aesthetic suggestions for the new pergola. The work was completed in a timely manner and they always had the area spotless at the end of a day. I will definitely be hiring them for future work at my home as their work was very high quality.

We hired him for several…read morereasons that he seemed like a real go getter and skilled in the trades that he presented himself being qualified to perform specific jobs. What we were left with was a multitude of problems costing us (his customer) thousands of dollars in weeks of lost time and material. 1. Tony would leave major messes and not clean up after himself from paint and drywall stains on the back patio, roofing debris all over the yard, he left our equipment dirty and would not return it clean as he received it. Many of these items he left his customer to clean up after him. 2. Tony was hired to do several tile jobs. He was close to the end on one job and was paid in full to finish as we had to leave to go pick up supplies. Well, Tony left too with our money and did not finish the fire place job. 4 months went by and we eventually had to finish it ourselves. 3. Tony was hired to do framing as he states on the side of his truck that he does construction. He built several walls, of which the main wall in the basement was a full 1" out of plumb. Another wall had a 1/2" gap between a king stud and the top plate. You could pass your hand between. 4. Tony was hired to do drywall. His drywall cuts are very amateur and we had to fix many problems around outlet boxes and corners. None of these he fixed. They were left for his customer to repair. 5. Tony pinched two wires behind drywall and one in particular he did not secure a wire in a ceiling and drove a screw through the wire shorting out the circuit. I informed Tony of these two issues and he pushed blame onto his customer as if we somehow cut the wire. 6. Tony was hired to do texture on two floors. He sped through the top floor leaving a obvious too light texture which we had 3 different textures in the house. He said he would fix the top floor but never showed up and his customer spent 3 days redoing the work over. Tony appears to do whatever it takes to get paid then vanish. He leaves unfinished work, and large messes for his customer to deal with. He is not a licensed contractor but charges like one. It is in my opinion that he is a shark scamming homeowners out of money. He can do tile decent but he is still an amateur posing as a licensed general contractor. He is doing jobs for other people that require permits and not pulling them. Do not hire this hustler.
