I really wish some of these Doctors, Samata Basani for one, at Las Colinas Endocrinology, would…read morehave better addressed my getting treatment for non alcolholic fatty liver disease (nash) which now they are calling something different.. I went in January of 2024 and she did all the necessary bloodwork she thought needed to be done. I trusted her because all the reviews for diabetes seemed legit and one of the few addressing nash that was on my insurance...It took a really long time to get my test results back. The findings were Really Low Testosterone, Really low Dhea, Low Cortisol, Low ACTH Plasma, high glucose and really high alkaline phosphate which is one of the best markers for this disease. I was tired all the time, couldn't digest my food well, getting sick easily, low (0) libido, skin issues, rashes that wouldn't heal just to name a few... So what does she do? Puts me on low dose CORTISONE and tells me I will need to take it the rest of my life. I AM SO SICK OF DOCTORS who simply wish to keep u on the medical hamster wheel. No matter it was giving me horrible mood swings. I went to DR John Gonino at Gonino Wellness Center in Heath Texas in June after a horrible incident with her protocol. He immediately gave me an option for a testosterone cream, (they don't make it for women so this was a compounded formula, not just the same pill they give to men) suggested I start taking 10 mg of a DHEA vitamin/mineral which I found on consumer lad (an independent lab that tests these types of products that the FDA chooses not to) Gave me a plan, a livable plan, and inspired me to reduce sugar intake (no talk of diet with her). And shared with me how to safely do coffee enemas which has really helped bring down my ALP. (I know, it's tricky and not fun but doable if you want to get on top of this...) Anyway, I wanted to wait and see the results of this new protocol before posting and I am happy to say that although I have not had ACTH Plasma retested yet, all the other markers have improved substantially. AND I'm not taking a lifetime prescription medication that creates a host of other issues, not to mention if she got my diagnoses wrong which I learned could have thrown me into the very thing she was treating me for. I am no longer feeling fatigued, immunity has improved substantially as this nasty winter has shown me... hair and skin beautiful and A1C down from prediabetic 6.2 to 5.8 woo hoo. I hope she reads this and other doctors as well. I am so sick of them poopooing and scaring people away from more natural remedies. I hope this helps at least one person reading this....

Amanda made everything about herself, and I had to sit there and listen to her tell me about her own journey over and over at each visit. She constantly talked over me, one-upped me, and continued to make every appointment about herself to the point my husband said something to me about it when I didn't even bring it up to him...he never notices anything, so I was shocked. I never felt heard, and though I have no doubt she knew what she was doing, Dr. Roopa listens and says that I know my body, and would adjust accordingly and it always worked. Amanda would always tell me what worked for her, and didn't listen when I told her I knew my own body, and her methods for herself were not working for me, even though I tried them. She did give good advice, but it wasn't advice I needed at the visits. I haven't had issues with the front office staff or the nurses/techs. My BIGGEST complaint besides Amanda, is the fact I cannot see Dr. Roopa every visit. I hate going back and forth between her and the medical assistant. I have no issue with the current MA I see, but I don't like not seeing the same doctor every time. When I explained this to the front, they told me it isn't possible to see only Dr. Roopa. I've never had a practice like that before, and I already have medical anxiety as it is. and seeing different people triggers it badly. I explained this to the front and they wouldn't accommodate me. If Dr. Roopa weren't so amazing, I would've changed practices a long time ago. 3 stars because I'm so torn...

I don't know if they're rotating their staff, but there seems to be different people each time I visit. I don't care about that, I just want the level of customer service to be consistent and to continue to improve. I adore my care team, they're always pleasant and when something is needed in between my visits, they are very punctual when completing the requests. Keep it up!

As an endocrinologist, he's got the best reputation in town. I've been trying to find one to go see for, are you sitting down, 3 years. I just found out "he's one of the very best" my cardiologist said. I'm a new patient and after my 2nd visit I am very happy I picked him. He's actually the first Dr. willing to give me enough Rx potassium (a mineral from the earth) to keep my body alive! Someone please tell his wife that she married a genius! My days of "doctor shopping" for a mineral are FINALLY over. I actually sang the word "Hallelujah" out loud it was that epic to me! I've been taking my bottles and boxes of potassium to one Dr. at a time and most don't have a clue and at best they would only copy the prescription that another Dr. was brave enough to write. It's been a nightmare to say the least. For those of you that don't know it's easier to get heroin in Mexico and cocaine in Columbia then it is to get potassium anywhere on this planet. A drug rep at Efferk told me this as well. His office staff are all super nice, warm and wonderful people. By looking at his website you'll know what he's about. Restoring your health not just pretending everything's fine and insinuating that you just need a vacation or ask if you have anxiety. The only anxiety in my life is having to find a new doctor, and actually trust them. Be hydrated (& let your body know it's giving blood) on your first visit as he will order labs and Labcorp is right there in his office. I'm now waiting about a month to see his nutritionist. I'll update this review so you have the complete picture.

Im a type 2 diabetic requiring insulin. My first visit i…read moreasked for omnipod 5 g6 g7 and insulin. I had to have amazon pharmacy and the insulit corporation call them to describe the kit i needed. A also wrote it down along with a fax and phone number. The first prescription I got was an omnipod dash and u 100 insulin pens, I needed vials to fill the omnipod pump. 4 days later doctor fixes my prescription and I get just the omnipod and not the omnipod starter pack but she did get the insulin correct, problem is you can't use an omnipod without the controller which comes in the starter pack, so another 2 days goes by. Next prescription is again for the omnipod 4 dash. Finally she gets it right and I get what I need, it's been like 10 or 11 days. 2 months later I go in for blood work and show her my reading on cam and she's lecturing me on low blood sugar, but doesn't take into consideration that I've been fasting for blood work and the fact that I've been a diabetic using insulin for a decade, I always have something to raise my sugar with me just in case. I make an appointment for 2 weeks later to see how my blood work is. But today I get a phone call a week early an urgent one, her receptionists called me 4 times while at work to see if I could come in to discuss my blood work, I asked is t h we re something bad going on that requires immediate attention ? But she can't tell.me anything over phone and I was being persistent and she asked the doctor and doc told her to tell me my sugar was low and she needs to speak with me in her office. I'll admit I'm no doctor and I got pretty worried, worried enough to leave work 4 hours early and rush over there. When I get there the problem was that my blood sugar was low at the time of them taking my blood, not that my a1c was dangerously low or high not that something was terribly wrong, oh by the way my a1c had dropped 4 points in 2 months, I had to drag that out of them. At my last appointment last week she, Dr aslam gave me my prescription again for omnipod 5 just the pods and insulin, and again she ordered the omnipod dash. This time she got it correct on the second try and I recieved them 2 days later. I did get into an argument of sorts with her today and we both agreed that we were done with each other. She actually got mad at me for the poor care o recieved from her and her staff. Im going to contact my provider and make a complaint against her for shoddy service. On her website she claims to be an professional on diabetic disorders but has no clue what maybe the most popular insulin pump on the market is. If you doubt anything I've said is true give her a call and make an appointment, and by the way I think she may be the only doctor in dfw that has same day appointments and I now know why. Worst medical experience of my life. Good riddance.
