Dr. Roopa gets 5 stars, unfortunately, her medical assistant (or nurse or whoever), Amanda, and I never fit well, and I had to request not to see her ever again. Amanda made everything about herself, and I had to sit there and listen to her tell me about her own journey over and over at each visit. She constantly talked over me, one-upped me, and continued to make every appointment about herself to the point my husband said something to me about it when I didn't even bring it up to him...he never notices anything, so I was shocked. I never felt heard, and though I have no doubt she knew what she was doing, Dr. Roopa listens and says that I know my body, and would adjust accordingly and it always worked. Amanda would always tell me what worked for her, and didn't listen when I told her I knew my own body, and her methods for herself were not working for me, even though I tried them. She did give good advice, but it wasn't advice I needed at the visits. I haven't had issues with the front office staff or the nurses/techs. My BIGGEST complaint besides Amanda, is the fact I cannot see Dr. Roopa every visit. I hate going back and forth between her and the medical assistant. I have no issue with the current MA I see, but I don't like not seeing the same doctor every time. When I explained this to the front, they told me it isn't possible to see only Dr. Roopa. I've never had a practice like that before, and I already have medical anxiety as it is. and seeing different people triggers it badly. I explained this to the front and they wouldn't accommodate me. My last visit was in 02/2026. The customer service and patient interaction, again, continues to improve. I don't know if they're rotating their staff, but there seems to be different people each time I visit. I don't care about that, I just want the level of customer service to be consistent and to continue to improve. I adore my care team, they're always pleasant and when something is needed in between my visits, they are very punctual when completing the requests. Keep it up! read more

My experience with Endocrine and Thyroid Center and Dr. Burney Basil has been awful from the start. As everyone knows, you need a referral to be seen here and the scheduling availability is extremely limited. I started treatment on April 29, 2025, and shortly after I had to reach out because the doctor prescribed the wrong quantity of my medication -- and since I was about to travel, I would have run out. Then, after two months of emailing and calling the nurse multiple times, I finally got a reply simply telling me to stop my medication until my next scheduled appointment -- with no further explanation and no lab work requested in the meantime. Concerned, I went to a general doctor who immediately ordered a full panel of labs. I brought these results to Dr. Basil, but he never properly reviewed them. Instead, he decided to start me on a new treatment for prediabetes, completely overlooking the fact that my thyroid was not under control and my vitamin D was critically low -- something another doctor later pointed out. A huge red flag, considering I had been on thyroid medication for over 12 years without improvement in symptoms, and supplementing vitamin D for more than a year without results. As for the prediabetes treatment, I am still on it, but the issues continue: prescriptions are not sent on time, pharmacies get no response, and I have even received messages from the pharmacy asking me to contact the office myself because they cannot get through. Right now, I have been waiting more than two days for a prescription, despite sending emails and making calls that go unanswered. The lack of communication and follow-up is unacceptable, and the failure to properly review labs is dangerous. This clinic is a complete disaster: they don't respond, they don't follow up, and they put patients' health at risk. read more

I was referred to Dr Prost and I found him and his staff both outstanding, friendly and knowledgeable. His office staff was very friendly and efficient. As several have mentioned the following issues. 1. Dr Prost is basically retired and uses office as a pass through for patients using PA'. Initially saw PA Trang Nyugen who was exception and now at SW Medical. Last saw P A Christina? Who was the worst I ever had I questioned a prescription issued twice and she argued that I was never prescribed. Went home and took pictures and Emailed last two prescribed that were not in file. Then I was labeled a problem. 2. Front office staff was worthless and finally let go at begining of the year. 3. As others stated Quest orders for blood samples were never sent due to staff dropping the ball. This happened three times in a row. I tried to call and no answer and each time drove to office to have order sent. Dates back to 2020 per other reviews. Same issue with prescription being sent to pharmacy causing months or delays. 4. Showed up 15 minutes early for appt. Sat and watched 12 people come and go seeing same doctor after 1 hour. When asked why was told I am nextef. After another 20 minutes I had to leave and asked to reschedule and call me with new appt date, no call. Called today after Email of appt on 8/11 and called to check Quest order sent in. I was shocked when told it was canceled with no notice and told I was dropped in May and letters were sent in May and June and one was certified but refused. No letters were ever received and odd they would send reminder for appt in August when I was dropped per Dan in May. More front staff confusion. A complaint was sent to medical board for PA and Dr. Prost for various actions of neglect of this practice. Patient s beware not on just this review but many others that cite same issues. read more

This is the worst medical office I have ever experienced. Frankly, I can't believe they haven't been sued yet for medical negligence. Dr. Prost is fine, but the MA is horrific. Never returns calls. I have been arbitrarily getting prescribed medications with absolutely no courtesy call about the medication. Just expected to blindly take it. I called to complain and was treated like trash. Long time patient of Dr Roopa. Good care as long as you never need a question answered over the phone. God give you strength and plenty of patience. When you call, you get put on hold forever - or - you get a message stating to call back during office hours. AND... they may be at lunch, going to lunch or not yet back from lunch as the answering service will happily tell you. Even IF you call within office hours and well before or after lunch, the office does not answer and the call goes to the answering service who tells you to call the office during office hours. I have been a patient here for over ten years. The office is impossible to get a hold of, they don't respond to messages, and I constantly have issues getting them to submit my prescriptions for my insulin in a timely manner. At least twice a year I run out of insulin waiting for them to respond. I am a type 1 diabetic, without insulin I could end up in the hospital in a matter of days. PA Krista was nice but the front staff and manager ruined it for me. I had two insurances both of which were in network. They told me for months they would not file the claim for the second insurance company. Finally after speaking to my insurance and them being genuinely confused as to why they wouldn't they agreed to. (It was three claims. That's it.) The woman reminded me over and over that they don't typically do this and acted like I should kiss her feet for her generosity. After the months my account was so messed up I was getting random bills in the mail that I had to go speak to the manager about. All I wanted was a refund for the difference on the three deductibles I had paid. I was told I would get a check in the mail. For whatever reason I never got it. When I followed up with a message I got a snippy voicemail saying "!I don't know why we are going around and around about this". ( I have been very patient with these people up until this point). She told me all I would get back is $35 when the manager stated when I met with her it would be over $100. These people are either idiots or crooks but they can take that $35 check I never got and shove it. read more

I have been going to thyroid drs well over 10 years. I moved to DFW area a year ago and started going to see Dr. Roopa. Not only am I not being listen to when I'm telling the doctor my medication is off, she kept making me come in every six weeks for a new reason. They keep adding new charges to my bill without any kind of explanation of where it came from. Only that insurance wasn't paying certain things. I have been seeing Dr. Basil Burney since November 2022 and he took me through the process of monitoring a cyst on my thyroid, a biopsy and then referred me to an excellent surgeon for a lobotomy that proved through pathology that I had papollary thyroid cancer. Dr. Burney took his time to listen and explain thoroughly everything I was to expect at each step. He now will monitor me for years to come as a thyroid cancer patient. read more

Well I didn't experience some of the bad attitudes that many people have posted on this site, I went to this office for about three years. I came every few months and at no time with my medicine ever where it should be be with the labs they took. I was always asked by Dr. Roopa if I was having heart palpitations and I would get them every so often. So after a while of adjusting my medicine constantly, I started having heart palpitations all the time. I became fed up and scheduled an appointment with a Recommended doctor in Dallas. I tried to go to see that doctor a year before but Covid happened and everything canceled. So after my extreme frustration I finally get there waited for my appointment and when he reviewed the labs they took, my thyroid was normal. He told me to start taking the medicine every other day then come back when I came back it was normal. Then he told me I could stop taking them all together and when I returned back for my test it was normal. I could not lose weight before I've always had heart palpitations and now I haven't had a heart palpitations. I've also been able to lose weight. I am my thinnest in the last 3 to 4 years. I do not recommend this center. I think they just keep you coming to charge you and you do not really know that you do not need the medicine. The heart palpitations are a side effect when you're getting too much medicine and obviously Dr. Roopa knew that. So my new doctor says when you have a child, you do have a time where your thyroid is low. He says a lot of times after some years or time is past it goes back to normal. This was definitely my case. So I would definitely do it more research and find a doctor that is willing to help you instead of just charge money for a visit and medication that you do not need . read more

After 2 blood tests there they recommend me to Quest Diagnostics for a 3rd blood test. They were supposed to call in a 1 pill subscription I was supposed to take the night before. This was on a FrI. so I could not call them on Saturday to tell them what they had done, so I missed my appointment the following Monday morning. Now I'm getting a bill for $40 from Quest and I was unable to show up because of these people's incompetence. They are a bunch of kids and it seems to me that they are there just for the paycheck and don't really care about the patients needs. read more

When I tell you my copay Is a specific amount I always pay other doctors, please don't argue and try to charge me almost 5 times my copay. Have the decency to call my insurance and confirm. Will try to charge you for rescheduling appointments, will incorrectly accuse you of no showing even if you call, will incorrectly track scheduling (accused me of trying to reschedule 3 times when I did not) and will be overall uncaring even if the problem is medically related. read more

Alright, well, I have no complaints about this particular practice. Actually, the ONLY thing that slightly annoyed me was the receptionist. I'd just recently been assigned new insurance information (same provider and all, just new ID#s), but my official card hadn't arrived in the mail yet. So in the meantime, I printed a paper copy of my card off the insurance company's website. Despite my explanation and the fact that the practice had everything they needed from me, the receptionist told me (rudely): "umm... this paper won't fit in my scanner..??" She looked at me like I was the biggest fool in the world and was just so condescending and flippant. Sorry? NAH. So besides the cold crabby welcome, my experience was super pleasant. Even as a new patient I was able to get in within a couple weeks, and I saw Dr. Roopa who I found to be extremely sweet, knowledgable, and to the point. I basically informed her that my mom and sister have thyroid issues, and that I have 5 cysts on my own thyroid that ought to be scanned and checked. She did the scan right there in the office and quickly told me that my cysts are still tiny enough to cause no alarm -- come back in a year to follow up and make sure all is well. Then she sent me to have blood work just to double check that all my thyroid levels are normal. The nurse who did the blood work was also sweet and made me feel comfortable, and so did the check-out receptionist. I was called within 2 days to be informed that my thyroid levels look totally normal at this time. All in all a quick and painless process. Nothing to dread and I have no doubts in the skills of these doctors. read more

It's already hard enough trying to squeeze in your follow up appointment within a week of getting the labs done, much less have to call and deal with her attitude. Every time I call she acts nonchalant and will cut me off and transfer me to the nurse before I finish my sentence or be really short on the phone. I cringe every time I get her on the phone. I was an established patient with Dr. Prost. There are some very serious problems with the way their office staff communicates with patients and finds solutions to their own errors. The office manager Donna uses tactics like raising her voice and hanging up on you if you ask them to check on past insurance and billing issues. She actually stated that she will not do it. I had already had my blood work done the week before and on the day of my appointment was told by her to find another endocrinologist and that my appointment will be canceled. She called me later the same day (after hanging up on me earlier). She was on speaker phone. She said that she checked on last year's billing and stated that the insurance did not pay enough. I would have to pay cash without a discount. I called Dr. Prost's nurse and left a message because the office manager hung up on me. No reason to call the front desk again. To save you time I'll summarize that you should STAY AWAY. This office is awful.Their policies are not patient friendly & the staff is uncaring and rude. The only reason I am giving it two stars is because my first visit was fine. It went terribly downhill from there. If you are interested in the details of my experience read on. I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's. When I found out I had thyroid issues I was referred to Dr. Roopa by friends in my neighborhood. My first visit was good. She was friendly. It was my second visit when problems arose. I was under the impression that my 2nd appt was with Roopa, but is was actually with PA Trang. I found this out when I got a text to confirm my appt. I tried to see Roopa mainly because I did not want to see another doc, after seeing several for the many symptoms I was having, & I thought it was odd as a new patient to see the PA. I was told I had no choice & Roopa had put it in her notes for me to see the PA. I was told that PA Trang would have all of Roopa's notes & she could do all the same things as Roopa except perform an ultrasound. This bothered me too b/c I had a nodule that Roopa said she wanted to keep an eye on. I sat down with the PA & was quickly aware she had not read any of Roopa's notes. I had to go over all my symptoms, medications,& all that had happened in the previous 4 months again. During this time she made statements that contradicted what Roopa had said in the previous appt so there was some back and forth. This seemed to frustrate her & I was genuinely confused on how to go forward. She also told me I could take extra meds if I wanted to. What? This took up most of the appointment & I attempted to tell her the new symptoms & was only able to explain one as she started walking towards the door. Then she just left. I was confused, still talking,& after few moments I went into the hallway to see if she was coming back. She was giving some medication to the nurse & that's when I found out she was done with the appointment. I was taken aback because I was not done talking to her. So, I tried to speak to the nurse & left information about the new symptoms I was having. One was depression, which also caused me to break down in the office due feeling mistreated & uncared for. I felt like a fool & left there defeated with several unanswered questions. Soon after I received a call from Lisa the office/billing manager. She explained it was the office policy for me to see the doctor then the PA consecutively. I explained again that this is not what I wanted especially since the appt with PA Trang was so bad & it was obvious she had not taken the time to have knowledge of my condition and symptoms. I was told this was their policy & there was no exception to be made. I asked again about the additional symptoms I was having, my notes that were left with the nurse, & if she had any information about that. She did not. I ended the call by asking, "Bottom line, could you speak to the doctor & see if she would make an exception?". She responded that it was policy, it could not be changed. I said I would find another endo. I called Roopa's line to leave a msg before doing so. Days later I received a call from a nurse. I said I would like the doctor to call me. She said OK & hung up. More days go by, I receive another call from another nurse. I asked to speak with the doctor. She said Roopa doesn't call patients. She can only give her a msg. I had many questions, plus a new symptom of thyroid pain, I asked again if she'd ask Dr. Roopa personally to make an exception to the policy. I also knew there were other patients that had this arrangement from my referral. She was instantly rude & loud. I said I'm only giving you facts & there's no reason to be rude to me. Finally, I get another call from Lisa telling me they will not be asking the doctor any questions, they don't do that either, & the PA would get my message. I said this wouldn't work b/c they contradict each other. Lisa said the policy is set by the doctors & that's it. I gave up. read more

Horrible front desk and office staff! When discussing insurance both the front desk lady and supposedly office manager VERY RUDE! I advised them I had meet my deductible and Bill my insurance then send me a bill as they had done in the past, office manager lady advised me to stop telling her how to do her job and that after a disaster in the area they didn't have time! I'm sorry! We had a disaster in the area but, what in the heck does that have to do with it! I explained how involved I was in this natural disaster so her bad Monday morning had nothing on mine! I'm tired of RUDE front desk staff! I'm tired of over paying to Doctors and then after they file my insurance they send me a check! I'm tired of these offices making it inconvenient for me! You can't all of a sudden change how iou do things! You should be VERY appreciative that I'm coming to your Office as my insurance is out of network! What happened to customer service! This office was originally located in Grapevine in a Baylor professional building. When the doctors were located there, they had a completely different business name. They also had a string of negative reviews, sudden domino effect of employee turnover, an NP who left the practice and.....more. So, let's leave to the imagination as to what would cause a physician practice to move out of town and change the name of a practice that has been established for years. If I could choose less than one star I would choose negative 5 stars. This practice does not care about their patients. The office staff does not know what they are doing and when a mistake is made on their part they do not care or oven attempt to fix the error. I had an appointment that was scheduled 6 months ago. I show up on time and am told that my doctor is out of the country with a family emergency. I am not feeling well and really need to see a doctor. I explained my serious symptoms and was told I cold be seen next week. I asked if the doctor who was in could please take me and again no compassion or care. The office woman wouldn't even ask the doctor. she kept stating that all patients had been notified and rescheduled. They verified my phone number and it is the correct number. I explained that I received 2 texts reminding me of my appointment. In fact one text message was sent today the morning of my appointment. I understand that emergencys happen, but when your office dropped the ball and you have a patient tell you they don't feel well and they are there in person you should have the forethought to fix this now. The doctor doesnt spend more than 15 to minutes with a patient anyway. So your telling me that my health is not worth 15 mins of your time? It took me 20 mins to drive there and 20 mins to get home completely disappointed and in worry for my health. read more

These folks are VERY high priced, not very accomodating, and the office manager huffs and puffs when you dispute your bill. I have gone here now for 5+ years and for an "established client" visit was charged, on top of all the other charges, $250 for a 10 minute consult by the actual doctor, who I may see once a year. Everything else is handled by a PA that has the personality of a board! So, to recap, I was sent a $524 bill for a less than 10 minute visit which equates to an hourly rate of $1,500..............seems fair huh? NOT! The entire office staff is continuously hard to deal with, and all have an attitude as if the patients are a bother to deal with, c'mon folks, let's get back to basics and treat everyone as though without patients, you wouldn't have a practice or a job! I highly recommend staying away from this Dr. office. They will charge you a $50 no show fee even when you call in to cancel. They will also hold your medications hostage. I called in and made an appointment because my medication was running out. My insurance will only cover 90 day prescriptions. Dr Roopa did call in a 30 day supply, but when I called to explain the situation I was told that it is office policy to only prescribe 30 days base on the last time I had an appointment. Apparently there is no combatting office policy here. When I said to cancel my appointment and that I would find a new doctor I was meant with an OK. I recommend finding a doctor that puts patients first and office policy second. read more

I have been a patient of Sr Prost for about 5 years. My husband for about 3 yes. We have received great care and compassion from Dr Prost and both PA's. I was trying to get an appointment here. After working on paperwork and going to my current dr offices to sign releases to have my chart sent I was told my blood test were normal so they wouldn't see me. I am 62 and have had bleeding issues. They told me they don't do the grunt work. WELL! I don't need to be seen in an office where I need a good diagnosis so they can get the big bucks. I went to Dr Prost because of my genetic predisposition of Diabetes. From the initial call to make an appointment ( was not put on hold, incredibly quick and courteous) to the first step into their beautiful offices, i felt i was in a family bussiness. The lady at the front desk was not only welcoming but incredibly efficient! they already had my paperwork ready for me and ( this is the best part) My appointment was at 10:00am and i was let in to see the Dr at 9:55am! After i met with Dr. Prost and did all the exams to see if i had Diabetes after 3 days ( he said it would take aprox a week to get the results but he would try to get them to me faster) i got a call from his office saying i didnt had diabetes! I can 100% recommend this clinic , Dr Prost and his staff because my experience was absolutely perfect! and that is almost impossible to have in a Doctors Office. read more

Unfortunately, thyroid specialists aren't super easy to find in the northern Tarrant county area. I was a patient of Dr. Prost's for years before I moved out of the area. Being able to find a new specialist was a HUGE positive. Dr. Prost was nice...and he seemed to generally be interested in his patients. Sadly, that's just about the only real positive review I have of this practice. From incomplete information on my surgery request (causing the hospital to biopsy the wrong side of my thyroid - I asked them to read the orders...and they did exactly what was on the paperwork from his office) to the phone nurse that really should never be interacting with the public, I don't have anything about this office that I can recommend.
