It was our first visit at this office and we were initially seen by a PA and another assistant. The PA provided recommendation that was not clearly explained and didn't feel tailored to my son's situation. She was going on and on about what her brother used many years ago for hair loss, it was weird. Mind you my son is only 20. I had to specifically ask to speak with Dr. Singer who I made the appointment with. When he came in, he seemed to take a more thoughtful and thorough approach tailored for my son. However, he only spent less than a minute with us before quickly leaving the room. He did not clearly explain the final plan leaving us confused. He asked the nurse assistant to do cortisone shots and my son was very nervous and I asked her if she can better explain to him what this procedure entails. She was no help!!!! As a parent, I expected more time, communication, and direct involvement from the doctor, especailly being we CHOSE YOUR OFFICE and it was my sons first time there. My son went home feeling defeated as we've been waiting for this appointment for a couple of weeks now. If you want a doctor that will listen and care about you, Dr. Singer and his staff are not it!!

I spent over 4K, and the procedure produced no results, just downtime, swelling and numbness, one full year! I came to his office in distress because I was teased over the years about a particular area that's hard to lose weight in even when small. He looked at me like I was dirt initially because I was so casual and not one of his normal wealthier clients, I suppose, but he warmed up when he noticed that I could actually pay for the surgery, so he performed it, no questions asked. Only after he took the money and the procedure didn't show results, did he say, "Well just lose weight. Cut out the soda and pies. Eat in proportions. Eat more vegetables. Yada Yada." You mean I spent 4 grand just for you to tell me that? He did tell me that I could come back and have a redo for free just pay the hospital stay and anesthesia costs, but I was hesitant because of the long downtime. I know drs. aren't miracle workers, but he should have declined this surgery because as a physician, he knows that you can't spot reduce on an already heavy person because the remaining fat cells will just fill in the gaps/spaces that are left behind from the liposuction in no time if the person is not losing and/or maintaining wt loss. I had been small before, and still have this fat issue in this area, but it would've been better had I lost the weight first and maintained it. The money was wasted and the downtime all for nothing. Yes, this is common sense, but I was in distress at the time having noticed this issue, as stated, even when I was smaller. I was just at my wits end, so I opted for surgery.
