I can say without a single doubt that my experience with AZ Priority Express this weekend was the "move from hell." If you value your belongings, your home, or your personal peace of mind, do not hire this company. What was supposed to be a professional transition turned into a day of reckless negligence and blatant disrespect, led by the owner, Chris. Unprofessional Leadership and Hostility From the moment the job began, the atmosphere was tense. Chris, the owner, was extremely rude and dismissive. When my spouse or I attempted to offer a game plan or suggest how we wanted certain items handled, we were met with eye rolls, head-shaking, and audible mumbling under his breath. It is incredibly uncomfortable to pay for a service only to be insulted in your own home. The lack of leadership was staggering. At one point, Chris actually drove away from the site, taking the keys to the moving truck with him. He left his crew of six men standing around with no way to access the equipment or continue the job. There was zero communication regarding where he went or when he would return. We were essentially held hostage by his disappearance while the clock was ticking. Egregious Safety Violations Perhaps the most alarming part of the day was the total disregard for basic safety protocols. I witnessed the crew moving the truck while the back doors were wide open and people were still inside the cargo area. This is a massive liability and a clear indication that this company does not follow standard operating procedures. Furthermore, they arrived without basic moving equipment. They had no moving straps and never once strapped down a single piece of furniture. In a large moving truck, items must be secured to prevent shifting; AZ Priority Express ignored this fundamental rule of moving. Extensive Property Damage Because nothing was secured, the interior of the truck became a "blender" for our possessions. When we opened the truck, it was a scene of devastation. We have had to toss out multiple pieces of furniture because they were damaged beyond repair. The list of broken or ruined items includes: * Major Furniture: Two dressers were completely broken. A high-quality side table was destroyed. * Gouged Surfaces: Our kitchen table and the headboard of our bed both have deep, permanent gouges from being slammed against other items. * Electronics: Our TV and an ice cream maker were rendered non-functional. * Hazardous Spills: Because they refused to pack the truck properly, containers of paint and lighter fluid spilled all over our other belongings. * Kitchen & Decor: A large mirror was shattered, and various kitchen oils and vinegars were broken and leaked throughout boxes. Total Lack of Accountability The most infuriating part of this "service" was the gaslighting. When we pointed out the fresh damage to Chris and his crew, they had the nerve to look us in the eye and claim the items "must have been like that beforehand." Seeing a professional refuse to take responsibility for a gouged table or a broken dresser that was fine three hours prior is the height of dishonesty. Final Verdict I am thoroughly disappointed and exhausted. Moving is stressful enough without having to manage a hostile owner and a crew that treats your life's possessions like trash. We are now left with the financial burden of replacing thousands of dollars worth of furniture and electronics, not to mention the cleanup of spilled chemicals and glass. U-Haul should immediately vet this provider and remove them from their marketplace. To any individual or family considering AZ Priority Express: keep looking.
