Service was very quick, efficient and friendly menus can be had in english or Spanish . My daughter order a hot chocolate with preparation table side, she said it was amazing. Found that waiter spoke a little English and with our little Spanish got things done. Menus are bilingual Spanish-English. Ordered 4 lamb tacos, chile en nogada, cooked chicken in green sauce and a fish dish (forgot name, little spicy) then a coke, horchata and a pineapple drink. We got chips, cheese, sauce while waiting. Those were all nicely done but average. Dishes out maybe 10 min later. All presented well and hot. We shared each dish. Lamb tacos nicely done, little dry, but they give you some guacamole, a brown sauce, along with the green sauce and cheese with the tortilla chips. Nice, not fatty. Next was the chiles en nogada. First time tried this and really enjoyed, many flavors and nicely flavored beef. In general little on sweet side, so probably couldn't eat more than 1. The chicken in green sauce was a homey, comfort food. Nicely cooked chicken leg and thigh was an ever so slightly spicy sauce. Also came with tortilla wraps and Spanish riceLastly was the spicy baked fish. Done well, fell apart pretty easily, was spicy, but not too much. Had green beans on side done well, not too soft or hard, and Spanish rice. Drinks were all a hit. Coke is coke. Horchata and pineapple juice served in big mugs. Pineapple tastes freshly squeezed and horchata was a super solid example in every way. I asked one of the taqueros who works there what the name of the place was, to which he responded, in Spanish of course, "I think it's Los Gueros, or something like that'. These are probably the best tacos along Paseo de Amsterdam/Ave. Chabacano in this area of town, and are best known by its unofficial name 'los tacos del Oxxo de Tejeda', or maybe that's just the name my friends and I give it because of its location (between a Michoacana and an Oxxo), and their carefree attitude towards the administrative side of the business. It seems that they're just there to sell tacos, and they do an excellent job doing just that. Their taco options include suadero, cabeza, longaniza, and bistec, but where they truly excel at is in their tripa and al pastor tacos. The tripa is amazing, crispy and not too fatty, with an awesome nutty flavor that makes your mouth water and keep ordering tacos even after you're full. It's hard to find good pastor in Querétaro, but they do a pretty good job of keeping their trompo on point, and their seasoning balanced. Their other options aren't bad either, but not as good as the tripa and the al pastor. Their salsas could also use more seasoning, as they don't seem to add much to the tacos except spiciness, which a good salsa does, but it also enriches the taco. They also have quesadillas and gringas, which are not far from the ordinary I hear. Awesome place to try; very full at nights, even on weekdays, so plan to come early or get in line inside the taqueria. Just a testament to how good these tacos are!
