I cannot speak for everyone's experience, but I can speak for my own I actually live in Austin Texas however, I contacted Aztec furniture because they had a particular bed that I really wanted. now guys, I am not someone who is good with construction or anything like that, i'm a single girl. I did my best to measure my space. However, the bed that I ordered had a really tall headboard and did not fit into my space. they literally cut the headboard in half in a way that was so discreet that you can't even tell that it had been cut. after they did that, the bed fit perfectly in my space. I am so happy I chose them and I will continue to choose them because I am about to re-order another couch. (because mines getting old) honestly, I cannot believe how much they helped me and they did not charge me for altering the bed. they also brought the bed all the way from Houston to Austin, Texas. i'm going to post some pictures of the bed and also try to show you where they cut it. it's a little hard to show where they cut it because it's under the mattress where they cut it. read more

I have no idea why there are any bad reviews for this place. I ordered the Lindyn sectional by Ashley Furniture at a huge price cut of what it would have been if I ordered direct from Ashley. He gave me a time frame of when the couch could come in and it came in significantly sooner than I expected. The it day came in, he called and said he could deliver that night. I actually wasn't ready because I was planning to paint the room and thought I had a bit more time until the couch came in. I scheduled with him delivery for the following week. He delivered by himself and put the couch together for me. He was extremely friendly. Great customer service and an honest business man. Have been recommending to all my friends and family, and will definitely come back. read more

If I can give Aztec Furniture 0 Stars I would. We purchased a nightstand over the phone and had to follow up numerous times as it was not delivered in the timeline agreed upon. Further more the nightstand was supposed to be delivered to our house but instead was sent to shipping facility 40 miles away. When we spoke with the owner to voice our concern of the delivery not being completed as agreed upon, he hung up and would not respond. We had to use the tracking number and contact the shipping service just to find out the address of where we needed to pick up the nightstand. The service of this establishment is terrible and I would not recommend anyone to spend their money here. read more

I purchased a Homelegance king bedroom set from Aztec Furniture in late May. Originally the owner Isreal had emailed me the price for the set and gave me a great delivery rate all the way out to the prairie are of Katy, TX. When I went into the store to put money down, Isreal was not in the store so Tina worked with me to order my furniture from Homelegance. Tina is very pleasant, knowledgeable about the furniture designers and very helpful. After closing on our home, I called Tina to set up a date and time as well as purchase an additional piece I was contemplating getting. Tina set up a date and time convenient for me and the furniture was delivered on the date and time promised. Unfortunately after a few weeks of moving from one home to another (we did it ourselves so it took a lot of time after work and weekends) my husband noticed a blemish on the top of my dresser when he had to move it from against the wall during cable installation. When I got to the house that day I ran a microfiber towel over it and no luck, it was permanent. I took a picture and called the store to discuss. I was fearful that weeks had passed and this was just now being discovered. Isreal answered and after I described to him the damage asked me to send him the picture, which I did, he promptly contacted Homelegance to discuss a resolution. Tina called me the next business day to arrange a date and time to pick it up to send back to them so they can make a decision on how to handle ( swap for new, sand and re-stain, or determine our fault and return damaged dresser to us). The very next day I received a call from Tina who told me they would like to arrange a time that same day to deliver a new dresser! I thought the process would take a few days to maybe even a few weeks so I was thrilled to hear the new dresser would be delivered the day she called me. When the new dresser arrived, upon my husbands insitstance, I inspected the whole dresser with a flashlight. I have to mention that the delievery driver and the gentleman that assisted him (3 times now....delivery, pick up, delivery again) were very nice and patient with my inspection. It was perfect, I now had a complete beautiful king bedroom set. I would highly recommend purchaing furnisings from Aztec Furniture on S. Post Oak. I am not sure what all the circumstances were in the negative reviews but my experience was nothing less than awesome! If anyone asks me where I bought my bedroom set, I will gladly give them Aztec's phone number without hesitation. read more

I wish i could give zero stars. After receiving defective furniture it took 3 months to get an exchange and when he came out to exchange the sofa he sent one delivery driver with no help. He changed out the sofa but left would not leave the new cushions or pillows. If you don't want to waste money don't shop there! Buyer beware! read more

I can't believe the 1 star reviews here, I guess sometimes people just have a bad experience. I live in Louisville, Kentucky. I found the perfect bedroom set looking online, but I liked a different bed that didn't come with that set. I called and talked to the owner and he got the information from me about the set I wanted, looked it up and gave me a price I could not beat anywhere, even with the shipping to Louisville KY. He continued to call me to keep me up to date on the status of my order. They were going to ship to a local facility here in Louisville where I would have to go pick it up, rather than drop ship to my door.... not a problem, easier and cheaper that way. The owner calls me back when closer to my ship date and says something wasn't right with the shipping to the facility, so he was going to change companies and have them bring it to my doorstep! Yay! Furthermore, he said he was going to pay the difference in cost to have it delivered directly to my doorstep! The delivery arrived exactly on time, and they were very professional. I can't say enough how professional and accommodating the owner was. He stayed in direct contact with me and made sure I had no worries and knew exactly what was happening with my beautiful furniture set. I could not be happier! I wish I could give these people a zero out of five. I ordered a couch from the owner but later had to cancel due to my wife's request for a custom couch. I called the owner to cancel and ask for a refund within the store's policy. He proceeded to yell at me and tell me that I wasn't a man. He then attempted to charge me a bunch of random cancellation fees that were not within his policy. I offered to pay the restocking fee from the vendor if he could provide me proof that such a few existed. He couldn't. I had to come to the store to finalize the refund and cancellation. I showed up at the agreed upon time and he asked me to leave and come back in an hour. That was purely unprofessional. When I returned he had two older men and a high school kid sitting there in an attempt to intimidate me. He then proceeded to insult me. I explained to him that the fees he was trying to collect were not legal and I left with my refund. This guy is terrible. I went here because I wanted to support local business. It's obvious that he doesn't want any business. All the other customers that were there were complaining about issues with their products. I should have paid closer attention. read more

NEVER buy your furniture from this place!! I bought a $3k bed and after it was delivered and set up I inspected my bed and all but one of the tops of wood crowns were stripped!! I called the owner Isreal and he blamed me for the problem! Not until I threatened him with legal action did he try to repair the problem, all he did was glue and restrain the problem!! I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Aztec Furniture. I found a dining room set online that I wanted to purchase for my daughter, but I did not like the idea of buying from an out of town, out of state vendor. I called the furniture manufacturer to see who in Houston carried their line. They gave me Aztec's name and 2 others. Not only did I receive the best price from Aztec, I received outstanding service. Israel was prompt in all of our communications; he answered all of my questions and concerns; the item was delivered exactly on the date and time agreed upon; and it arrived in excellent condition. The delivery and assembly person was Jesus. He was polite, professional, and considerate of the home (wiping his feet and picking up behind himself). He assembled the furniture beautifully and carefully, and he took the time to explain how to take the table leaf in and out. He was a great guy with an upbeat and cheerful attitude. I've had "white glove" deliveries from other companies that were not as good. Do not be put off by the bad reviews. I was hesitant after reading some of them, but upon further investigation, found that most of the negative reviews were left by people who have ONLY left negative reviews here. The owner is money hungry. I went in after seeing a special online. I asked him if they delivered he said yes it would be a $59 charge. I said ok no problem. I had a appointment setup for 11am. No one showed so I had to call the store myself. The lady advised me they were short and she would have to owner to call me to see when will they be coming. He called and had a nasty attitude because he said he was short staff on delivery. I told him it wasn't my fault and that he should've called me to inform me he wouldn't be here for 11. He then told me I gave you a discount on delivery. I never asked him for a discount. When I asked if they delivered he said yes for $59. Then over the phone after I told him how unprofessional he was for not calling he said delivery is a $100. If deliver was a $100 he would've said that I wouldn't had no problem paying it. So when he made it to my place at 5pm. I live on the third floor. He told me they couldn't do it. I was like I paid for delivery what do you mean. He didn't ask me what floor I was on when I was in the store or anything. Because if he had any exclusions he would've said that in the store. Then he said him and his guy could bring it up. The guy that he had with him did all the work. I will never purchase anything from him again. read more
