Amazing school with even better staff . My little lady has grown and developed into what she needs to be for kinder next year ! More that happy to keep her here for the summer program before kinder starts

Excited to go to school :)

Love this preschool, the staff is wonderful. When my daughter enrolled my grand daughter I was so nervous. I had the honor of taking her on her first day.. I was greater by Ms. Stephanie who is always at the front desk every morning with her beautiful smile and amazing energy!! Honestly all the staff has beautiful energy and are amazing.. The school is very clean, they have security cameras, you have to have a code to enter at the front door.. They are so good about communicating with parents regarding the calendar events.... It's the best feeling to drop off my grand daughter and not worry. Besides me and her other grandma she has not been left with anyone else so we were nervous about how she would do. Well I can 100% say she runs into preschool and ABSOLUTELY LOVES HER TEACHER AND THE STAFF... I would 100% recommend this preschool. Ms. Maddox the administrator is wonderful!! I feel 100% comfortable saying , Do not hesitate to call and take a tour and enroll your littles here.. you will not regret your decision.. Veronica Reeves

Love this!!!! They really do a great job!!!!

Love this School!!!! We live in monrovia and drove our little preschooler everyday because the school was teaching him so much. Once he got to kinder his teacher told us he was ahead of the game. Since we had amazing results we also didn't mind taking our daughter over there everyday. She to was ahead in her class. Azusa Discovery really sticks to the curriculum and more, they learn manners, they learn how to clean up after themselves and they celebrate holidays which is a huge plus for us. They have the best Christmas program and end of the year program as well. I could go on and on :) and Ms Lupe makes them home cooked tasty breakfasts and lunches ( I can't think of anywhere else that does it better) :)

Ms. Elin was my son's Pre-K teacher, and he absolutely adores her. Under her guidance, he learned all the alphabets, shapes, and colors, and can now count to 20 -- skills I know are often taught in TK. Beyond academics, Ms. Elin always incorporated fun, engaging activities that the kids loved. She also helped my son become more independent with eating, which was something he really needed encouragement in. In the afternoons, when Ms. Elin left, other wonderful teachers stepped in to provide care -- Ms. Silvia, Ms. Christine, Ms. Mary, Ms. Marie and Ms. Nour. My son knows and loves them all. When I once asked my son if there was any teacher he liked the least, his answer was, "no," which says it all!) Last but certainly not least, Ms. Virgine is an incredible director. My son was both a Covid baby (super shy) and a preemie, so I had extra concerns as a first-time mom. One of the main reasons I chose LPG was the smaller class sizes, so he wouldn't be overwhelmed. I was nervous at first, but my worries quickly faded as I watched him grow and thrive. By the time he graduated, he not only had friends in his own class but also knew the names of kids from other classes. I am genuinely grateful to everyone at LPG for giving my son such a memorable preschool experience. You truly can't put a price on that!

Thank you, GCC!! Every single teacher there is simply amazing and they are truly educators! How I wish they offer K-12 education Lol The best decision I've ever made was to keep my son here for TK instead of sending him directly to public school for TK. By the time he went to K, he was way ahead in class and he still is. I rarely see any teacher turnover in GCC, maybe just one teacher left (since I sent my 1st child here in 2020) because of a more challenging opportunity. The whole center was so happy and excited for her but missed her dearly at the same time! You can always see Missy or the teachers talking to parents during drop-off and pickup not because they try to earn 5-star reviews from parents, they are just very caring and dedicated to their work! From the very first day, this childcare center completely exceeded our expectations. The staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about caring for children. It's clear that they treat every baby as if they were their own. What really stood out to me was the level of communication and care. The teachers keep parents updated throughout the day with how our little one is doing--feedings, naps, playtime, and milestones--which gives us so much peace of mind while we're at work. They are always patient, kind, and willing to answer any questions we have. The environment is also wonderful. The infant room is clean, safe, and thoughtfully set up to encourage development and exploration. I love seeing the way the teachers interact with the babies--talking to them, reading, singing, and helping them learn and grow in such a nurturing way. Most importantly, our baby is happy there. Every morning we're greeted with smiles, and it's obvious that the staff truly care about the children and their families. Knowing our child is in such loving and capable hands makes all the difference. I'm incredibly grateful for this center and the amazing team that works there. I would absolutely recommend it to any parent looking for a safe, supportive, and nurturing place for their infant.

We toured other places around the area but as soon as we met Ms Arlene in the infant room, we instantly had that feeling that our child would be in good hands. We just felt something special about her. So with the combination of Mrs Flo running the facility and Ms Arlene as his caregiver, we immediately enrolled our son. Of course the first week was rough for our son because it was a new place with new faces, but Ms Arlene always made him feel loved and attended to him when she could. Soon after, he stopped crying because Ms Arlene automatically gave him affection. She was just absolutely comforting and nurturing to our son throughout our whole experience! The reason I am giving 2 stars is only because of her and Mrs Flo. Otherwise, I would give this place a lower rating. The rest of the staff here lack empathy, professionalism, and compassion. I am unsure if they are maybe racist because I saw them treat other children better than they did with my son and our family. Most, if not all the time, when we would drop off and pick up our son, the staff would not acknowledge him or us. Sometimes they would look at us and frown then just look away. (keep in mind, this is NOT about Ms Arlene or Mrs Flo- they were always respectful and acknowledged us). At times that they do acknowledge us, they seem annoyed to see us. We have never done anything to them that would make them treat us that way. In fact, on our son's first day, we brought the teachers gift bags with snacks and treats. As this went on, we did not let it get to us because we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they're busy, or overwhelmed with caring for all the kids, or maybe they were going through something in their personal lives, maybe they don't mean to come off as rude, etc. But one day we had had enough,my son was in the middle of transitioning rooms so they bring him to the toddler room in the afternoon. When I looked through the window of the room, I didn't see him right away. So I went back to his usual room. The teacher there told me he was in the toddler room and I said I didn't see him. She sounded so annoyed that I even went in there. So I went back to the toddler room. Again, through the window I didn't see him. I entered the room and behind the changing table/area behind a wall, I saw him crying. He looked like he was crying for a while. Eyes were puffy, nose was all snotty and his cheeks were wet. Mind you, I checked the room through the window when I got there, walked to the other room, walked back to his room and still didn't see him. How long was my son standing there crying? And no one attended to him or comforted him. There were 3 teachers in that room. One teacher was busy at a table with kids. Another was standing by this table just observing. And the third teacher was near my son but just sitting on the floor watching 2 other kids. She was not playing with them, she was just watching them. And when I came in saw him crying,NOT ONE person acknowledged me. No one said a word to me on why he was crying, how long he was crying or even tried to explain anything on what occurred before. They all just ignored a crying baby and mother. They did not care he was crying nor did they care to explain to me what happened or cared that I found him alone, unattended to, crying and no one comforting him, I spoke to the director when I walked out of the door (not Mrs Flo anymore) and asked how to withdraw my son's enrollment. after that incident, we never went back. We continued to pay for our tuition for 2 weeks to follow their withdrawal policy but our son never came back. We left all his belongings there and never looked back. The day after, the director called me and after reviewing the video, they did recognize that there were more than enough teachers that could've attended to him. The teacher called me to apologize as well. But after all of what had happened we could not go back. Although this happened several months ago and I am barely writing a review now, I wanted to ensure others were aware of people's experiences. I didn't want to write a review because I would feel bad for the facility but if you have other places to consider, do yourself a favor and do that. It is not the franchise Kiddie Academy, it is just this location we have issues with. We now have enrolled our son to a different location and O M G, we absolutely love it. Each and every staff greet you as soon as you walk in the front door with kindness and respect. You are never ignored and our son loves it there. I wanted to share awareness because OMG the difference in how we are treated is CRAZY!

Update in response to the business's comments to my earlier post :…read more - You did raise your voice to me. The quote I provided was word for word and is quite a less than empathetic statement to make to a client. You also snapped at my child during our meeting which surprised me and put the possibility in my mind that if this was done in front of me, it was most probably being done in my absence. Providing a calm and respectful environment is a great core value to strive for but these interactions did make me question otherwise. - I never said the school stated or diagnosed my child. What actually did occur, when I was being informed of his behaviors, was I thanked you for telling me. Because these behaviors were not manifesting in the home setting, I didn't realize he was also special needs like his sibling. The realization during that meeting that I had another child with special needs felt overwhelming and that is when I teared up. You then said that if he is special needs, he should go someplace else like the special needs center across the street. While this may be something you are ethically and legally required to do in such a situation, it was not expressed in the most compassionate way. - While we were notified of some of our child's behaviors, we were not notified of all behaviors until the in-person meeting I refer to above. At that point, it had culminated to the point of asking our son to leave. What I did not appreciate, and articulated this in person, was not being informed of ALL the behaviors occurring which would have given us insight to have him evaluated sooner. - The classroom behaviors were not always handled confidentially. I actually have screenshots you sent to me of other parents' conversations where they mentioned my child. That certainly made me question the integrity of your confidentiality since I'm sure the other parent thought theirs was a private conversation and not being screenshot and sent to another parent. - I'm not sure what additional support and extra staffing you refer to. Sounds great in theory, but I was not aware of any during my child's time in your facility. - Even now, you mention how certain matters were handled privately yet call out one of those in the same sentence. Ironic. - Of course you disagree on someone commenting on a lack of empathy or kindness on your part. No one likes hearing the reality of how they're portraying themselves. - Finally, yes, my review was posted more than a year after my child's enrollment. That just goes to show you how much of a long-lasting bad taste was left in my mouth after the experience. UPDATE #2 : " As we have already provided a detailed response, we would like to briefly address your most recent message. Because this matter involves a minor, we do not feel it is appropriate to continue discussing specific details publicly or to engage in ongoing back-and-forth on this platform." -- Then why are you continuing to do so? "If you wish to discuss any remaining concerns, you are welcome to contact us directly so the conversation can remain private and respectful" -- You are responding publicly. I don't have any concerns -- this is a site for reviews. This was my family's experience with your business and the review was written to supplement the low rating I gave. Trying to keep my review of my experience private defeats the purpose of this very site. Not every review is going to be a positive one and continually combatting or trying to keep negative reviews private doesn't come across well.
