My son was at LPG for about 1.5 years, and during that time he transformed so much that I truly wanted to write this review to show my appreciation for all the teachers. Ms. Elin was my son's Pre-K teacher, and he absolutely adores her. Under her guidance, he learned all the alphabets, shapes, and colors, and can now count to 20 -- skills I know are often taught in TK. Beyond academics, Ms. Elin always incorporated fun, engaging activities that the kids loved. She also helped my son become more independent with eating, which was something he really needed encouragement in. In the afternoons, when Ms. Elin left, other wonderful teachers stepped in to provide care -- Ms. Silvia, Ms. Christine, Ms. Mary, Ms. Marie and Ms. Nour. My son knows and loves them all. When I once asked my son if there was any teacher he liked the least, his answer was, "no," which says it all!) Last but certainly not least, Ms. Virgine is an incredible director. My son was both a Covid baby (super shy) and a preemie, so I had extra concerns as a first-time mom. One of the main reasons I chose LPG was the smaller class sizes, so he wouldn't be overwhelmed. I was nervous at first, but my worries quickly faded as I watched him grow and thrive. Look No Further. My son was a "covid baby" he was timid and shy and after coming here he has completely blossomed. As we transition into TK we first started at Circle Time for a few hours a day; drop off 2 hours twice a week. We then were looking for a preschool to take him half day for 3 days a week. We visited local Montessori's and several Preschools in the neighborhood and landed on Learn Play Grow. He went 3 days a week for half day. The premises are clean and vibrant, they have several classrooms and an outdoor play area. They have tiny toilets and wash sinks for the kids and of course an adult restroom. The teachers are all women, welcoming and friendly. Ms. Mary was super responsive and answered all my questions regarding enrollment and costs, emergency kits and spare clothes etc. They are christian based and host a religion class on Wednesdays. Our son is 4 years old and was assigned to Ms. Elin's class. She has been so calm and patient with him. He would cry at drop offs, had an accident here and was even hyper or fussy with her and his classmates and she still was patient and KIND to him through it all. I can't thank her enough. My son turned into someone excited to go to school and see his friends and his favorite teacher. We would be at home and he would say things like " wait until I tell Ms. Elin" excited to share with her about his life. The school as a whole feels like a family, they have spirit week, host parties like mothers day and graduation and really make this time in our lives memorable. Ms. Virgine and the rest of the teachers make it super special, it makes me want to cry, they do a really good job of making each child feel special. He would come home with crafts and homework and I think it has really prepared him for TK- K If I could do it all over again I would have put him in sooner and let him stay the full day. read more

My kids have been attending this school for a little over a month now and so far we are LOVING it! The staff are all extremely kind and loving and treat everyone with such care and attention. Every request is responded to with love and kindness and never with annoyance or frustration... the staff are truly one of a kind. They've made our family feel so welcome and safe and cared for. We searched for so long to find a place we felt our kids would be safe and happy and I couldn't believe that my kids did not want to leave at pick up!!! They have been begging me to stay which is crazy?!!!! I'm incredibly grateful and I am certain your family will be really happy too. We started our son at LPG after moving into the area. As we looked around and tried other places, we found that many schools were doing non-differentiated daycare - basically babysitting. One place even labeled themselves a montessori when they were actually just letting kids free play with not enough materials. And there are mega-companies like kinder-care, but those places never sat right because staff turn over can be high, ratios are high, and they're usually not flexible to parent needs and interests due to company-wide policies. Being new to the area, we were really looking to start building community. What we love about LPG is that the rooms are full of materials that kids can pull out based on their interests during free play, but also there's enough structure that there's always some fun activity going on. They paint, practice scissor skills, draw, practice writing, make playdough, and tons of crafts. I also appreciate they are licensed for diapers and support with potty training. Our son came in wearing pull ups and with their help and reminders during the school day, our son was potty trained at 2.5. Class sized are small, there are 2 teachers to a class, and they have lots of opportunities for parties, fun, and celebration of life. We've have great interactions with other parents, and families who have left have stayed in contact because of the great job that LPG does in bringing families together to take care of our kids. I started my search for the right school for my son before he was even born. As a first-time mom, I'm crazy obsessive over everything my son does, just constantly worrying. But even still, I'm sure as a parent of multiple children you still want them to be somewhere you trust they're safe and are learning and having a good time. LPG was at the top of my list since the start of the list, so once my son turned old enough to enroll I reached out to schedule a tour. Well, I now know that I caught them during a holiday break, but at the time I was bummed after not getting a response for a couple days. I assumed they were full and I moved on with my search. About 3 days later I received an email that they were on break and they would reach out as soon as they returned. In the meantime I was going back to work soon and I needed something asap, so I kept going with my search. I toured what feels like hundreds of schools, and every time I got ready to enroll him into a school I could tolerate, something kept stopping me from following through. Then about a week or so later I received another email; come and tour the school! Oh, I set it up immediately and if I didn't already love the school by the reviews, the tour just set me over the edge. I no longer wanted my son to go to LPG, I NEEDED my son to go to LPG. I just know God wanted us at LPG. Ms. Virgine and all the lovely teachers were so kind and clearly care for these children as if they were their own. As someone who has worked in childcare for over 15 years, I know that some people work with children when they should not be working with children, but at LPG, I believe that every single one of these wonderful teachers LOVE what they do and love our children. My son had a rough first week. Being used to being with me ALL day, EVERY day, made for a rough transition... for both of us. I was worried it might not work and wasn't sure how I would manage, but seeing his little heart break as I left him in a strange new place to go to work was gut wrenching. By day 3 I was trying to rehearse how I was going to ask my job if I could transition to WFH. But all the teachers were reassuring plus the brightwheel app keeps me in the loop at all times. Communication is top notch! They send photos consistently through the day (see below for my absolute favorite so far) and they get back to me so quickly when I'm having a panicky mom moment. LPG is the best school environment I could imagine for my children. I've had two children attend. My oldest is now in Kindergarten and is one of the top students in her class, and my youngest is currently a student. I love the way they constantly keep the children busy with projects and activities. Our daughter started coming here at 18 months and loves it here! In 2016, when we're first looking for preschool for my son, I happened to see LPG's review from Yelp as well. I decided to come and look at the school. I met Ms. Virgine, the principal, at that time and I was able to see the classrooms. I love how they keep the ratio small; hence, making me feel at ease to leave my son there. Now, it's time for my son to move to kindergarten and it's year 2019! We've been at LPG for 3 years. How time flies! We started her at LPG when she was 18 months old- it was stressful for us but there is no other place we would have felt comfortable leaving her. She has loved it there and is thriving. Called to schedule a tour since they advertise that they speak Spanish and have good reviews. Confirmed that they had openings before wasting my time . Went for the tour and the director claimed that she suddenly had no openings and asked me to fill paperwork for a wait list and they would call me back in early January. She also stated that they did not have any Spanish speaking employees and seemed to not like the fact that my 2 year olds primary language is Spanish. Save yourself the time and take your child to a more professional school like Kindercare or Christ Lutheran Preschool. My child loves it there and I'm glad things worked out for the best. My son stayed at home most time after he was born until he went to school due to the pandemic. We really worry about his social skill, while we very concern the safety in school as well. He can play independently for certain time now, while he was stick to me every second before going to school. LPG has very strict hygiene policy to protect kids' health. All the instructors had been vaccinated. They check/monitor kids' temperature every day and requiring the Covid-19 negative report if your kid had fever and want to return school. We totally understand and agree with all the strategies they apply, which is the best way to protect our kids and others. I heard some contaminated cases in other preschools in Glendora, but there are 0 case in LPG since school reopen last year. Comparing with the other 2 preshcools in Glendora (they are much bigger than LPG, and have best reputation in Glendora. If you live in Glendora, you know what I refer to. My older daughter went there before pandemic), we have the best communication with school in LPG. They use brightweel apps, making communication much easier and convenient. The instructors take quite a few pictures to record kids' activities in school and report to you how much they eat and how long are their naps in school . Everyday, I know exactly what/how my son is doing from the pictures and reports the instructors sent. It is such a great way to communicate with parents and also protect other kids' privacy. You also can message Ms. Virgine and the instructors through this app, and they respond your message very fast every time. We are so grateful that all Ms. Virgine and the instructors in LPG did to my little one. They make us feel so comfortable and trustful to put him there. You can feel how much love they give to those kids. I cannot say enough great things about this school! My son has been coming here for about a year and a half and I just wish we would've found this place sooner! He has grown and learned so much from attending here. His vocabulary has expanded, and he's constantly surprising us with random facts that he's learned at school, surprising stories, manners, prayers, songs, and so much more. The communication at this school is great! They use the brightwheel app which allows them to share videos and pictures throughout the day and it is very much appreciated being able to see your little one and knowing that they are safe, happy, and learning. The director Ms. Virgine is great and very involved. Not to mention his teacher, Ms. Sally, we have been lucky with our son being in Ms. Sally's class! This is one of the best preschools in Glendora. Have sent my toddler here for more than a year before the pandemic hit and have absolutely loved the place. The staff is knowledgeable in their field and the director Ms. Virgine is very involved and active with the children. My biggest concern when finding a school was making sure the curriculum was strong in academics. This school exceeds all my expectations!!! If you're looking for a safe, friendly and educational preschool , Learn Play and Grow preschool is the place your child needs to be. I've never came across a director that is so dedicated to the children and their families. She goes above and beyond just to make sure her kids are in a good place and the families are happy. This school in the best I have ever been in. I used to go here everyday for the after school program. The director is the best Mrs Virgine. The director does so much fun things activities and crafts. The teacher Mrs Nour is really funny and is so nice kind, loving and caring to me and all the other students, teachers, and parents. The teachers and the staff at Learn, Play and Grow (LPG) Preschool are very passionate and dedicated, especially Ms Virgine. When my daughter first started attending, she had just started learning the alphabet, but after three months, her literacy and numeracy skills excelled. Furthermore, during her time at LPG, my daughter grew to love God and truly embrace the value of prayer at a young age. Because of the heart-warming and supportive environment, she grew to adore her teachers and her classmates. She also became more comfortable and confident to interact with other children. I can't find words to describe how much at peace I am at work when my son was at this school. It is definitely one of the best preschools in the neighborhood. We had to leave this school since we moved. They keep the class size very manageable (unlike the 1:12 ratio you will see at most preschools). The teachers form a trusting bond with the students and you can see the kids hugging the teachers ever so often. They taught my son great manners and etiquette that I have often been complemented for. It's all their work. The director here needs a special mention. When I my son started school here, he was crying the first week. The director spent everyday in his room comforting and playing with him. By the end of the week he was running to hug her every time she walked in. She takes an effort to make each child feel comfortable and at ease in this school. All her teacher ensure that the whole school is like one big family. We terribly miss this place. read more

This school has my heart! My oldest daughter has been coming here for over 2 years and her little sister for 1 year, I live in Claremont and work in La Verne, but I drive to Glendora & back twice a day, everyday just so my girls can go to school here. I remember going to over 20 different daycare's (no exaggeration) looking for the right one and my search stopped here, since day one they have gone above and beyond for my girls and I couldn't thank them enough! Any time I talk to Ms. Virgine (the director) or any of the teachers they take it so seriously no matter what it is and together they problem solve and always find the best solutions for the children, I trust them 100%. Ms.Virgine was made to do this and she does it so well, we are so lucky to have her in our lives and I am so happy to have her guidance and help in raising my children well :) The teachers are all great, I love how well they know each individual child so well and are willing to customize certain lessons to better suit each child. If you are looking for a place to send your children, to learn and be loved, without having to worry about anything bad happening (like the sad news stories) then I recommend you come here and check it out for yourself, because I truly believe you wont find another place that does all of what they do here! read more

I feel so blessed to have found Learn, Play, and Grow Preschool. After visiting many preschools in the area, I knew LPG was the right fit for us. My daughter started in the toddler room and has celebrated her 2nd, 3rd, and 4th birthday with this amazing school. The school is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and is full of joy. My daughter and I are greeted every single day with dedicated teachers who make me feel so secure about the great day she has ahead of her. Mrs. Virgine and all of the teachers at this school are top notch professionals whom l have loved to get to know. I honestly can not say enough wonderful things about this school because they have made our preschool experience so great!
