This business doesn't seem to care about participating in support your local community. 300.00 in one sale, parts were never ordered is what I was told the second time I called back, each call answered with annoyance, and more annoyance on the third call, a female took my number and said she would callback ,here goes a week later no callback... Carried a mower in for repair. Was told by the lady in the back that it would be four weeks, but because the repair was so small she would move it up. 10 days later when I called, she almost screamed at me, saying I told you I would call you when it's ready it's not ready. Five weeks Later I picked it up, and the person helping me was also rude because she had to go out in the heat and load it. Don't even expect common courtesy if you go there. Call them and see how long you wait on the phone. Hope they enjoy the last dollar they'll get from me. read more

Short chubby guy with big beard is an a**. He is very rude to the customers that come in. I stood there working with another employee who was very helpful and kind and watched how the other gentlemen ( short chubby beard guy ) treated the customers and was blown away. Based on the internet, the "online" SCAG dealer locator showed B&B as my closest SCAG dealer. When I pulled in, it looked like I was at a NAPA store instead of a SCAG dealership. Needless to say, I went on in to make a simple purchase of blades for my SCAG Tiger Cat II mower. It was obvious the moment I walked in that this was a parts store first and at a distant 2nd, a SCAG Dealer. After providing my model number and even the blade parts number, I was told they didn't have any blades in stock. Hmmm, it's July in Texas (Serious grass cutting season) and my local SCAG dealer does not have blades for my one year old SCAG 61" Tiger Cat II mower. Wow! I left and was never even asked If I'd even like to order any! Good luck SCAG Corp. You've got a winner in your hands here....! read more

Best mower parts place in bastrop. If they dont have it in stock then they can certainly get it ordered for you. Wouldnt take my mower anywhere else to be worked on, scott in the back is the best and up front bert with the beard really knows his stuff. You can certainly see why the wait is long and the phones are always busy! read more

These folks work their butts off and are always SUPER polite whether I am in their store or calling to ask questions. Audra and Scott really helped me out today with my riding lawn mower. I had purchased this mower from them but felt like the blade needed to be lowered for a 2nd time. They literally dropped all that they were doing and Scott re-adjusted the deck again as I waited. Went in last week for parts for my husbands truck. Had went to the dealer and was looking at over $2000.00 in parts. Went to B & B and left spending less than $400.00. Customer service was phenomenal AND even gave us the information for a couple trustworthy mechanics! WIll continue to use B & B!! read more

If I could leave no stars, I would. In a small town like Bastrop, there aren't a lot of lawn mower repair options. These guys know it and take full advantage of the situation. My mother dropped her lawn mower off 5 weeks ago, paid a deposit and was told it would take four weeks to repair. Four weeks?! Crazy. Anyway, small town, not many options, remember? Four weeks went by without a peep. She calls to check on it and the lady who answered said she'd check. Several minutes later, she picks up the phone and says there are five mowers ahead of hers. When asked for an updated completion date, lady said she'd call back with that. Didn't happen. Finally fed up with B&B, she went down to pick her mower up and get her deposit back. It took 45 minutes. Go here if you don't care to be respected or like to be treated like your business doesn't matter. These guys are great at that. read more

They are terrible. Every time we've gone in we've had issues. Today, my husband wanted to get a larger blade for his chainsaw. When you look online, it says that you can get blade sizes for his chainsaw that he wanted. He went in and they refused to sell him that size. They said it would be "too big" and "burn out his motor". My husband did hours of research before going in and that blade comes as an option if you buy the chainsaw... he tried to explain this to the men that work there, and they still would not sell it to him. The men at the counter didn't even know what they offered on their website, like trade-ins for chainsaws and other equipment. When asked, the man at the counter said, "huh, I don't know what we have on the website. I'll have to look at that" Would not recommend this place- at all. read more

On hold for 15 minutes until I decided to hang up and go elsewhere...bad customer service!!!

Purchased a new riding mower in January, 2018. We requested a mulch kit be added and paid for everything but the shipping and installation of the mulch kit. Three weeks later we called to inquire on the status. Were informed original kit shipped was the wrong one and were waiting for the second kit. Four weeks after full payment the mower was delivered. Gas gauge has never worked. We did not have occasion to use the mower for several weeks due to weather, but reported the problem within two months. Were told we would have to pay for transportation back to the shop even for warranty work. The mower was picked up 10 days ago. We checked after a week and were told the "The part just came in and the work would be completed that day and the delivery person would contact us to set up delivery." It is now four days later, we have been on hold with the store for 15 minutes and no response. When we purchased this mower, we were told we would get priority service since we purchased from them. If this is priority service, I would hate to have to request service when I did not purchase the mower from them. read more

I have gone to this store for over 10 years. The manger has always been nice but he has lost his mind from to much rock and role, maybe. Each time you go in the store rock and roll is playing and guys talking about outdoors stories and the usual. The feeling of the place is like a barbecue place. I bought a chinas made mower 5 year ago from a local competitor and it ran fine for 5 years Started every time until it died finally. I decided to buy a snapper fro B & B. Before I go on, the day my china motor died I brought it to B & B. As soon as I brought the China motor into the shop they shook this water and gasoline jar to me and said "Its probably the gasoline". It turned out there motor had just had is hard days work and died. It was not the gasoline in my garage. So I get the usual sales pitch to buy a Snapper mower from B & B. I did that. They put gas inside of it to test start it. Then I took it home. The mower started two times. After that it no longer started. Back to B & B I go and sure enough when I walked in the front door (with the rock and roll confusion sounding out) the manger says "its the glass and shakes the same glass jar of gasoline at me as they did when I brought in the China mower. They took the mower in. A few weeks later they call and say "it starts now it is your gas". I responded saying how can that be? 1- The $600 chain saw I just bought from you a month ago works fine off the same gas and the mower has only been used twice, once with your own gas. The long bearded senseless manager just could not get it and still does not. He refused to answer the question as to how in the world my chain saw works fine but the Snapper mower he sold me has a problem with the fuel after 2 starts. I asked for my money back for the mower to let B and B deal with this Snapper sorry story about ethanol and gasoline. All I needed was a mower that starts every time like my china made mower of the past. I plan to file a written complaint about this story to Snapper. I will get my money back for this mower one way or another. Maybe the manager can bill Snapper and take this mower that he sold me home to his rock and roll bear party and B & B. read more
