We texted the estimator. Nothing. We called and a receptionist said someone would call us back. Then, nothing. The sad part is that if the work had been done satisfactorily, we would have had more projects for them. Instead, we now could not possibly recommend them to anyone. I don't understand what these contractors are thinking. If you are too busy or have some other reason for not moving forward, say so instead of wasting the homeowner's time.

When my husband and I first started discussing expanding our house in 2020 we were not sure who to contact. I saw a number of houses in our neighborhood with. Murphy Construction sign so decided to give a call. Skip called me back within 24 hours and was over a few days later to speak about what we would like done. He was very honest in terms of the cost of the extension as well as the time frame on when he could start work (we expected a wait time since everyone is redoing their house right now!). He was true to his word on both which we were very thankful for. We we're also extremely thankful that Skip and team were understanding when we said we had a baby on the way to ensure everything was done prior to his arrival (which it was - HUGE THANK YOU!). In terms of work, Skip, Marvin and his team demolished our sunroom and previous bathroom and added on a new hallway, linen closets, bathroom, additional bedroom and family room. They also redid our floors upstairs, finished the attic, provided new windows in a previous bedroom, installed wall air conditioners in 4 rooms and created a covered patio area outside off of our new family room. Our smallish 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house has truly been transformed into something we couldn't imagine. We are beyond happy with the way everything turned out and could not be more thankful. The whole team was extremely courteous, kind and responsive. My husband and I both work from home so we literally were around to watch the house transform around us. The team showed up diligently on time, every single day and quickly and efficiently worked to get the job done with a few short months. We even made some changes as work was progressing and they were more than accommodating to ensure the job was done to our liking and to what we wanted. Laura, one of Skips office managers was also wonderful in ensuring any extras we added on our changes were relayed to Skip and team. Overall, the whole process was seamless and we fully recommend them to anyone who is looking to remodel. All of the sub-contractors (plumber, electrician, tile, floor, foundation, etc) they used were also truly wonderful so it was comforting to know that we had people we could trust at our house. I purchased a kitchen cabinet set from them for…read more$1500, and while they arrived quickly, the cabinets were in horrible condition. just about every cabinet had superficial and structural damage (mainly the veneer on the cabinets were damaged, in addition to cracked joints where they are to be screwed together). Upon noticing this issue I had all of the cabinets returned, as a full bad set of cabinets, is basically a quality control issue, but this process did not go smoothly. The store owner convinced me to pay in cash (wish I had not), and when i wanted to take my business elsewhere, they refused and pointed to their store policy of no refunds. With the quality of the first set of cabinets being so poor, and me being unable to to get my money back, i went with a more expensive replacement which looked to be of better quality. it also arrived quickly but this cabinet set also had it's share of defects (though this time with fewer visible defects, and more structural defects). I am now stuck with overpriced, sub-par cabinets that I am unable to get a refund on because I did not notice the store policy earlier. While they do deliver the items, all of what they seem to deliver are defective/ broken items, and then hide behind their store policy, thus leaving you with no way of getting your money back. (new to yelp, but will try to find a way to upload some pictures of the crap I ended up with)

One of my cabinet order did not fit due to my oversight in measurement. Jason was readily to exchange the product for what I needed for the space. In addition, I wanted to add more to my island and Jason immediately said he would able to make it happen. The cabinet build is prestine and the cabinet quality itself is immaculate. I had a kitchen design model in mind when I got there but was not 100% sure. Jason gave me his honest opinion about the design which really gave me a better feel of decision. I was also deciding between two quartz countertops and he gave me his best opinion based on his pairing experience. Scheduling delivery was simple, they let me choose the date. I was ready for the delivery in happen in 2 weeks from initial visit/deposit. They were an hour early from scheduled time 10am that day. The adjustment cabinet and countertop measurement occurred a 4 days after The install of countertop was literally 3 days after. This was quite the quick turnaround time and we were so happy about that (although we were not in a rush). His staff was so responsive through the week when I had questions.
