I have to say Russ is really great! I was trying to get a renovation estimate for two houses to help me decide which one will be lower total cost. I called at least 5-6 companies. Only 1 or 2 got back to me and it was after days. However, when I called Russ (extension 3 on their hotline), he answered right away even though he was on the way out. I called him a few times after that and he picked up every time, no matter how busy. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant to talk to every time. I also think it's fantastic that they have a large showroom to assist homeowners in selecting what fits them best. I scheduled an electrician to replace a ceiling fan (assemble new ceiling fan too), replace outlet not working in bathroom, and change out two switches that was malfunctioning. The person on the phone was very nice and professional. I scheduled a plumber the day before the electrician and was quoted $125 fee, that would be absorbed into price if I hire the expert for the job. Since I booked the plumber the same week the fee for the electrician was waived. My husband said Dave was 30 minutes early (4 hour window of time given). Dave quoted $700 for to do the job which is extremely high, but we agreed. He when he went in basement to electrical box he told my husband it was "illegal "" & we needed to change the electrical box for whole house and it would cost $3,750. My husband told him not today & he kept going on and on. We are aware that we need to upgrade the electrical in our house and will do it another time. He sent the quote to my email address. He went outside to look at the meter and my husband that water is "leaking " in the meter and we needed to get our electrical done, once again. Don't know why he went in our backyard after my husband told him we were not doing that project right now. PSEG installed a new electrical box 2 years ago, he is FOS just trying to hard sell that project. If anything was wrong we could call PSEG to replace the meter. My husband was sick of this man, said he was arrogant and annoying. Couldn't wait until he left. He told my husband he had to go open the outlet wider in the bathroom and through some brick. When I got home from work and went in the bathroom brick dust was all over the walls, on my sink and everything on the sink including my kids & family's toothbrushes, mirrors, brick and sheet rock debris was on the bathroom rug, between the wall and sink ect He left the bathroom messy and didn't clean anything up! He could have had the decency to ask my husband to remove the items out the bathroom, but he didn't. I had to wash down all the tile walls throw out our toothbrushes, the brick dust carried through the whole bathroom! I called universe to complain the next morning, and the young lady told me that the managers were off duty on Saturday but she would relay me complaint to them. She also apologized. The manager Michael called me on Monday afternoon and apologized and told me he was surprised to hear this about Dave he is his "best" electrician. He did speak to Dave and he admitted that he didn't clean up claiming he was "overwhelmed " with too many jobs that day (we were most likely his 1st or 2nd job since it was early in the morning). Michael apologized and said that this was unacceptable and they take pride doing excellent work. Mike offered to reimburse me for the toothbrushes & rug for $50. I told Mike that would be great, he had the $50 transferred to my bank account. I thanked him. So I gave 3 stars because of the recovery customer service from mike and appreciated that he took my complaint serious. The plumber the day prior did and excellent job and cleaned up the bathroom, plus removed the sheet rock debris. So I know it was the individual electrician who left a bad impression, not all the workers. Thanks mike ! read more
