I gave Mark Lear (owner of construction fence) a 40% down payment ($4700) for our fence to buy "product" to install it, with the balance due upon completion. Fast forward to March of 2026 and I still have no fence. But what I do have? Excuses. Hundreds of excuses. He used the "rain" excuse, the "frost" excuse, the "permit" excuse, the "I need to buy more the product" excuse, the "we were on vacation" excuse, and every other excuse you could imagine. If you're considering hiring Mark Lear, owner of Construction Fence, I highly recommend you try to think up your own excuse and reconsider. Today is April 6th and he has finally broken down and sent me the refund, more than two full years after he promised us our new fence.

He said that he was behind, but would call us in 2 weeks for an update on the installation. We called him back 4 weeks later, he still did not have a clue when he would be able to install the fence. On September 26, 2026, we asked for our money back. Of course, he had to call us back in 2 weeks to let us know when would expect a refund. On October 31, 2025 we sent a "Demand Letter" asking for our deposit. It was returned to us as "Undeliverable". I contacted the Better Business Bureau in March 2026. He conveniently did not respond to them either. Looks like we're going to have to sue him in order to get our money back. PLEASE KEEP YOUR DISTANCE FROM THIS GUY!

They answered all my questions and offering options and insights that I had not considered. I share a fence line with three neighbors. FTF gave me a detailed breakdown of what each neighbor's share would be. This made approaching my neighbors so much easier. They handled all permits and were great about keeping me updated. FTF threw out my old fence. They carefully cleared bushes and landscaping, preserving several that otherwise may have been removed. I removed four mulberry trees from the property and FTF coordinated and worked around the tree company with no issues. I especially appreciated how flexible Final Touch was--just prior to the start date I decided to add a small separate fence around my side door and an eight foot gate to allow for improved access to my backyard. These changes did not delay the project and the additional cost of these changes was very reasonable. Overall, my new fence exceeds my expectations and I am very happy. My three neighbors are happy and I have been getting compliments from passersby. I will be following up with final touch in three months to seal the wood when it is ready. I was told if it didn't fit in the driveway I had 60 days to blackout. Lol. When I called the twp and found out that I had to put the fence on the property line in the driveway the camper wouldn't fit..salesman said I should have read the contract. 25% if i backout. And he didnt have any body to sell the fence they ordered. Just saying you need to check yourself never trust a salesman.​
