My experience was nothing like any of the other reviews because I found the experience greatly disappointing and a waste of time and money. Jesse's lack of communication, motivation and organization led to my decision not to pursue the building of the custom home with OIC and to not trust the design documents to be accurate and complete, making this entire design experience a waste of time and money. Throughout the experience Jesse continued to demonstrate a lack of accountability or responsibility, letting me know everyone else was at fault including the city the lot is in, Heather an employee of OIC and myself but not Jesse. As Jesse stated he and his contractor made minor mistakes with their submission to the planning board like wrong year, wrong town name, whether they were using explosives or not, and removing the rain garden from the plan that was requested by me and something I wanted to have. Jesse's decisions to make changes to my requirements and not ask me but inform me or as he put it, "meant to tell me" made me mistrust what else he "meant to tell me but forgot" and the fact that I received an additional request to increase the budget significantly left me questioning if anything he stated was accurate or believable.

Now, they want us to pay more to finish the job. No thank you! We paid less than half of this for our similar sized house (with the same number of animals living in it,) to be cleaned in Derry - just 40 miles away. Planning the project with Jeremy and Lauren Milligan, his design associate, made the decision making of the design process far less intimidating. The team's consistent communication was impressive! Living two hours away from our townhouse, we were delighted to receive daily status reports containing project videos and photos. Every Thursday at 2:30, Jason would initiate a Zoom meeting, during which he would provide a comprehensive project report, show us his progress, and ask our opinion! During every weekly Zoom meeting, Jason requested a positive and a negative comment. Although we were sorry to disappoint him, we never could share a negative. Furthermore, he would occasionally call to ask for our preference on the position of a knob, to clarify the color of the fireplace trim, etc. The quality of his work and that of the subcontractors was excellent. However, excellence did not come as a surprise. In all our Lighthouse projects, the professionalism, attention to detail, commitment to quality, and pride of the team were obvious!
