The person running our room was funny and informative. He had a clear love for his work! The building was clean, and our room was fantastic! The story line and props added to the experience. What impressed me the most was that the puzzle designs were extremely impressive. Everything was difficult but even when we were getting stumped no puzzle felt impossible or unfair which is what you want in a good puzzle. We have done quite a few rooms and my nephew and niece both said that this was the best room they have ever done! I would agree! I have already recommended it to many people!

I will say Selkirk Provincial Park was one of the WORST experiences ever. Now the regulars may enjoy it ... but for someone who travelled to the area it wasn't worth it. We spent most of the time outside the park: Canuyga, Port Dover, Turkey point. We did this because the park isn't big (which isn't the issue). The issue was the Officers being lazy and not doing their jobs. At 3 am every night we were woken up by drunks screaming and yelling. Absolutely no enforcing of the 11 pm curfew. Now I agree 11 pm is early but 1 am would be nice. We stayed in the tent are nonelectric. You absolutely can hear neighbouring campsites easily. The yelling all night and the DOGS barking all day and night basically ruined the trip (dogs at night barking). I read a lot of reviews and thought people were just overreacting... the majority of the complaints were accurate. A nice small park I found to be well cleaned and probably relaxing during slow season. I can't recommend people visiting for a relaxing/fun time/adventurous... not at all.

Plenty of animal variety. Not overcrowded or too busy. Not touristy or campy. It is a zoo experience, through and through. You learn about, interact with, feed, see and enjoy the animals. Animals are well taken care of and clearly happy. The exhibits are designed to be easily viewable. Staff are very friendly and the price is right. Free parking. The bad: None. The Ugly: None. Special Note: As with any zoo, please respect the animals and follow the staff lead regarding how to interact with them.

With that said, it's very affordable and well-suited to families who have kids in the 3-12 age range. A great spot for locals or if you happen to be with your family in the area. For just under $30, a family can enter the park which has: an outdoor pool, a 20 ft. spiral water slide, a 'lazy river' tube ride, picnic benches (you can bring in outside food), and a kids playground. For another $5 (total), everyone in the family can have access the mini golf course - though its certainly an older run-down one. Finally, there's also a batting cage and it was fairly cheap too. The concession had the standard items such as hot dogs, hamburgers and sausages, along with chips and chocolate bars. Again, quite cheap and nothing was over $3.50. They even grill the food on the BBQ to order. That pretty much describes the place. Fairly simple, but also very affordable and a sure-fire way to enjoy a day with family on a warm summer's day.

Then we went for a short shuttle ride for about 10 minutes up the river in a large passenger van. It was my first time paddling a canoe down a river. I am decent tooling around a lake, but was intimidated by the idea of "rapids." The water was relatively high because it had rained a few days prior, so overall it was fairly tame. I was surprised about how many rocks we saw and how quickly I learned to point them out. There are picnic spots along the way which were nice to rest and refuel. We will definitely go back and bring friends next time - wonderful at to spend an afternoon outdoors on the water!

If you are looking for a COVID friendly, outdoor activity for the whole family, this is it. This took about 4 hours, and is an 8 mile paddle from Paris to Brant on the Grand River! The experience begins when you board a school bus at the bottom of the Grand River. You are then driven to a starting point, about a 20 minute ride. My friend and I were in a double kayak for the trip. While singles are sometimes available, as well as inflatable tubes, I recommend the double kayak for a few reasons: - company - laughs when you get stuck on shallow parts and need to pull your kayak out - help paddling, especially through some rapids - someone to pass you snacks - cute photos The trip took us about 4 hours, including a stop where there is a little lunch area with bathrooms and picnic tables. It also rained on and off throughout the trip, but I honestly didn't mind given it was a hot day. Note that this is a self guided trip, it is pretty straight forward with some signs where the river splits. I'm convinced if you went opposite of the suggested route you'd end up in the same spot anyways but don't take my word for it!

I was in the area with family in August a couple of years back…read more The trail was really short from the parking lot. The Falls was pretty though a little crowded and busy. There will be people climbing up to the middle level (the landing that sort of cuts the falls in half) and walking in the water. Be careful if you will be climbing or walking through the water. Also, there are giant rocks and logs to sit on. I feel like Sherman Falls is somewhere you go in the autumn. You would see the leaves being colors. There's a small fee enter (around $11/vehicle). It's done through a park kisok. You can use the same parking ticket at Tiffany Falls within around 2 hours or so. The price not too bad for vehicle with at least 3 people. There's lots of parking nearby (compared at Tiffany Falls). If you visit in the afternoon, it's might be a little hard to find a spot.

Do a good deed today. If you have a trash bag in your car, bring it with you and I'll bet you can find a couple of pieces to pack out and dispose of properly. We went to the Mini Putt with our grandson last week. l could not believe how poorly maintained…read morethe course and walking areas were in. There was only two holes (11 and 16) that seem to have had a little work. Other than that the course IS DISGUSTING AND DANGEROUS. I tripped a few times on the walks in between the holes and on places where the carpet either was buckled you could not make a put without having to clear debris off of the holes. The Mini Putt should be inspected and SHUTDOWN FOR SAFETY REASONS. I asked who the owners were when we returned our clubs. The person in there said him and his Dad owned it. I said you should be ashamed of the course. He just shrugged his shoulders and basically saying with his body language that he didn't care. I have never run across a business that operates this way. No care for customer safety or the condition of the course. For your own SAFETY, STAY AWAY FROM THE MINI PUTT.
