    Webster's Falls

We visited the Webster's Falls during a waterfalls trips to the Hamilton area in fall 2013. Webster's Falls is located in the Spencer Gorge Conservation Area in the former Town of Dundas that is now merged into the City of Hamilton. It is a curtain fall that is 23m high and 34m wide. It is an incredibly powerful fall even in late fall; I think it will be scarily powerful in early spring. Just a note that there are 2 waterfalls in the Spencer Gorge Conservation Area: Tews Falls and Webster's Falls. The two falls are within 20 minutes walk of each other. Both are located near a parking lot. The cost is $10 per car or $4 per walk-in. I would highly recommend a sightseeing trip to the Spencer Gorge Conservation Area.

A beautiful area for an outdoor day. This area has a trail that connects to two waterfalls Webster's and Tew's falls. I only visited Webster's this time around and will definitely want to come back. It's worth noting that it is pretty dangerous venturing behind Webster's falls as the floor there is very muddy and slippery. However, it makes for an exciting adventure and the views are beautiful. The biggest downside is the parking makes very little sense. There is plenty of space to park inside but the park staff will close it off extremely early and say the lot is full. It will also cost $10 for parking and $5 per person to enter. Highly recommended if visiting Hamilton

Make sure you have REALLY good directions before you go because finding the entrance to the conservation area is extremely difficult. Other than that, this place is gorgeous! Signage is well placed and easy to read. There are plenty of observation spots to look at the waterfalls and the gorge. The hiking trails are long but totally worth it. Lots of shaded areas and it leads to Dundas Peak which was the highlight of our hike. This place is great if you want to spend a couple hours just hiking and taking in the scenery (that view though).

The beach was beautiful, people around were so nice that helped us to take some pictures. The beach line was long, I felt I had burnt lots of calories. Residents around could run, bike, or swim there. This is a great place to relax in summer.

It's a great place for walking, biking, rollerblading, or just relaxing by the water. On a really clear day, you can even see CN Tower and the Toronto skyline across the lake, which is always cool to spot. Adventure Village is a cute little mini park area nearby that kids will especially love, and while Wild Water Works is just okay in my opinion, it's still a fun option on a hot summer day. One of the true classics here is Hutch's on the Beach. We've been going there for years for fries, fish & chips, and ice cream...though it can get SUPER packed during peak times. There are also some other nice-looking spots like Barangas on the Beach that add to the area's appeal. Unfortunately, over the last few years the park has definitely become more crowded and more litter-filled, which is disappointing. But despite that, I've still always enjoyed my time here and have a lot of nostalgia attached to this place.

We went when the cherry blossoms were beginning to bloom but it was a tad bit early for the other floral arrangements to bloom in their outdoor gardens so it still felt winter-like. We started at one location early in the morning with the Arboretum. That's where you pay $25 to drive your vehicle in. Parking is ample early in the morning but when we left an hour or two later, there was a conga line of vehicles waiting to get in. So, yes you have to be there at least at around 8 AM if you don't want to wait in line or find parking. Parking is free at the main RBG region with their inside greenhouse region plus their outside garden. What I didn't like was that you had to drive out afterwards to go to the Rock Garden where you had to show your tickets again for entrance. Parking was still free though. So, overall, a lot of driving from one location to another (at least three) and a lot of walking. If you want to bring slow-walking seniors, good luck. It's beautiful scenery but a lot of walking involved.
